Rosalynn was braiding Syrena's hair while humming a tune. Syrena had the most beautiful auburn hair and Rosalynn had golden eyes sharp as arrows. "Stop itching, I know the chain is tight but your ankle is going to get infected!" Roslynn scolded Syrena. She stopped itching and sighed. "Everyday I feel so regretful…" Juniper was in the dusty corner picking at her nails. "Why? How come?" She said curiously. "Regretful because I swam out too far and ended up here in Mexico and gave my heart away to a fae hunter. I thought I was still in Germany until I noticed the temperature increasing." Syrena replied. Rosalynn stopped braiding Syrena's hair and looked at her like she had two heads. " How do you mistake Germany for Mexico? I have lived in Mexico all my life, and I never once had a thought like, "Woah, Mexico reminds me of Germany!" Roslynn said mockingly. All the girls laughed, including Syrena. "I honestly have no idea, i was idiotic and naive back then" She said while rolling her eyes. "Back then?.." Juniper retorted. Syrena gave her a nasty look while Rosalynn smirked. "Oh come on girls, give me a break!" Syrena pleaded. Rosaylnn commented, "No, I don't think we will." Juniper nodded her head in agreement. Syrena interrupted, "On another note, I heard we have new meat! I don't know if the fae is going into our cell, I think the fae is a girl?" Juniper and Rosalynn's face lit up. " I wish to say that's good news but the new meat is in for a ride!" Juniper chuckled. Roslynn clicked her tongue, "You can say that…any idea where new meat is from" Syrena thought and replied, " I think she is from…England?" Juniper walked over to them. "Interesting, I wonder how she was captured. Were they importing to England and captured?" Syrena shrugged her shoulders. "I don't really know, when I was getting some of my blood tested I overheard them." Rosalynn nodded her head in understanding. "Don't they put people from the British isles somewhere more protected though?" Juniper asked. Syrena shrugged. They went back to what they were doing before, with Rosalynn braiding Syrena's hair and Juniper picking at her nails. A few minutes later the cell door creaked wide open. A fae who looked dehydrated and exhausted was thrown violently into the cell. She was coughing and had a couple of harsh bruises on her body. The girls stepped back and avoided eye contact. The man who threw her in wasn't Agustin, but it was somebody way worse. His name was Miguel, or Miguel Sanchez. Or maybe you famously know him by the nickname, "King of the Fae Hunters". He wasn't that tall. Only stood about five-eight. But his eyes and his muscles. Not only that but how he talked and the way he walked could send shivers down your spine. He spat on the poor fae before viciously slamming the cell door closed. All the faes in the room were dead silent for a moment until they checked up on the fae who was violently thrown in. Rosalynn lifted her up and leaned her against the wall and said in a calming voice, "Listen to us, even though your in a crappy situation, and will still be for quite some time, but if your in this cell with us and don't cause a commotion you'll be safe…to some certain extent." Esther nodded, relieved to see another faerie like herself in this place. "Who are you guys?" Esther asked breathlessly. Rosalynn felt bad for not saying her name. "Oh I'm sorry I am Rosalynn Rivera, I am a fire fae, I have spent most of my life here sense I was a faerie born in Mexico and my parent refused to cut off my wings so it was bound to happen that I would get captured by the fae hunters at eight years old, I hardly remember my old life." Juniper sighs, " After a while I don't think anyone remembers where they came from or who they once were, the name's Juniper Craven, Forest fae! I am an American who lived in North Carolina. I was captured about four years ago." Syrena crosses her arms, "Alright sense everyone is introducing themselves , I am Syrena Klien, a water fae, from Heidelberg and German. I swam too far out west, ended up here, fell in love with a man who was heavily involved in a cartel and was captured six years ago. So how about you? Who are you and where you come from so on and so on?" Esther breathed in and out trying to recollect on who she was. " Well, my name is Esther Evergreen. I am a Sylph from Kenmare Ireland. I was captured because five years ago my cousin Aliza and her newly wedded husband came here for their honeymoon and never came back. When I was a young child I always heard that for some particular reason whenever the fae goes to the South…there is never a way out. As the saying goes in my land. So I came over here in search of Aliza because we were alway close with each other. But I never found her…" Juniper put her arm around Esther. "I'm sorry to tell you this but if your cousin is a fae and hasn't returned in five years she is probably dead, I don't mean to be insensitive or anything, but when you are in here for pretty much you whole life you kind of get desensitized to the idea of death. " Rosalynn said, holding Esther's hands. Esther had a feeling in her throat but she felt too embarrassed to cry. Syrena whispered in her ear, "It is okay to cry here, we have all done it before at least once…" Esther still refused, her face flustered, "It kind of already feels like I am losing parts of my old life in a way, even though I've only been here a few days at most. " Juniper slaps her hands to her knees, "Well, what did I tell you? When you arrive here you are a brand new person!" Rosalynn glares at her, "Don't try to lighten the mood Juniper! What is wrong with you?" Esther smiled just a little, "Hey! At least we got a smile!" Juniper said enthusiastically. Syrena smirked and rolled her eyes and said, "At least when you're with us it's not totally darkness and bloodshed." Rosalynn added, "Everyday it's like a messed up slumber party if you think about it." Esther thought of how that would play out and giggled, "So is this what you do all day? Do you do any work for the cartel or…do you just wait for your death day?" Juniper replied, " Well we don't really work for them unless we were born here or were brought in here really young. They mainly just experiment on us, like if you are a forest fae your D.N.A is good for heroin, or if your a water fae, your blood is good for the growing of their cash crop they grow in the desert to hide. But once they figure out what you're good for…yeah you just pretty much wait for your death, or sometimes they will just get tired of you and kill you, it's a game of roulette here sadly." Rosalynn and Syrena nodded their heads in agreement. "So Juniper, what do you think Air fae is good for?" Esther asked, a little scared of what the answer could be. "Well, not much to be honest with you. But you do have some good child-bearing hips so you can be used for fertility, although they might send you to a different cell for observation. But once you give birth to a few babies you will most likely be sent into a normal cell again." Juniper informed. "If I am used for fertility reasons and I…give birth a few times. Which by the way sounds frightening, will I get sent back into the same cell I was before or a different one?" Esther asked, feeling bad for asking so many questions. Syrena shrugged her shoulders, "Who knows?" Rosalynn interrupted, "It's not like we get much choices and freedom nowadays" Syrena scoffed, "Well isn't that the truth! But hey don't be scared-" "Oh crap!" Juniper whispered. Esther gave them a confused look. "Shh! Be quiet! He will hear you!" Rosalynn said in a hushed tone. "What?! Who will hear us?" Esther whispered.
