Suddenly Miguel opened the door and separated the faes by shoving them apart viciously. Esther yelped, he took her by the hair and without saying a single word he walked her out of the room, She was crying in pain and Rosalynn tried to give her a look to not make a sound before Esther forcefully left the room. She tried to be quiet, but it was no use. He pulled on her so hard. How can somebody less than six feet be so strong? She thought to herself. Miguel then picked her up and strapped her into a chair. Esther was so scared. Her lips were trembling. Then he got so close to her face, Esther could smell his morning beer, "If you try to escape you will never see the light of day again and I will make it brutal…" Miguel whispered in her ear. He brushed the hair off of Esther's face. She felt her whole body quiver. "Oh don't act like you don't like this, besides you are going to have to get used to this whether you like it or not with those hips." He added. Esther tried everything in her bones and blood to not roll her eyes. Then a man in a white coat (like the ones you see doctors and scientists wear) walked casually into the room and sat in a chair at a desk. He glanced at Esther, Miguel standing big and tall by her side, then glanced at his computer, He asked the fae, "Nombre?" Esther didn't like where this was going, "Esther Elaine Evergreen…" She said in a quiet tone, almost like a whisper. The man signaled Miguel out of the room. Miguel pulled out a cigarette and lit it on his way out of the room. The man closed the door and walked swiftly back to his desk. He hummed in approval, "Evergreen huh? Name sounds familiar…my name is Dr. Gomez if you have anything to ask me after our appointment. So how old are you Ms. Evergreen?" Esther's face lit up, did he perhaps know Aliza and Geralt? She was also surprised at how…well…decent Dr. Gomez was. "Oh, I'm 18," She said calmly, Dr. Gomez nodded his head typing the information into the computer system and asked, "What is your nationality and where did you come from?" Esther explained that she was Irish and came from Kenmare. "So we have to be careful with you huh? We don't get much Northern fae around here. Okay by observing you, it seems that you're an Air faerie but just in case I am going to sample some blood, it is going to hurt just a little bit. " Dr. Gomez said, standing up and grabbing a needle. Esther gulped, she hated needles. Why did they even need her blood anyways if the only thing she can be used for is her hips and that gave her concerning thoughts. Dr. Gomez gripped her arm tightly, he was very strong. Even if Esther wanted to escape (deep down she did) She knew that was more likely to take her down than Miguel. The needle pressed firmly to her skin, drawing out a small vial of blood, Esther winced and closed her eyes tightly. Dr. Gomez gave her a look like an apology of some sort. "Okay, I can see you are not a big fan of needles but unfortunately once a week you are going to have to have a shot filled with Serpente venom to decrease your access to your powers. So, since it has almost been a week since your arrival I have to inject you with that venom now," He informed while grabbing another needle. Esther sighed and tried to find a window to look at but didn't see one. "Hey! Before you start, am I underground, I don't think I have seen a single window since I got kidnapped and brought here?" Dr. Gomez injected the needle into her arm and while doing so he replied. "Si, we are underground, you might not be able to see the sunlight for a while, but they should place you into a cell with a sun fae so you can get your Vitamin D." Esther winced again, feeling the sharp and numbness of the needle. "But I don't have a sun fae in my cell, just a fire fae. Rosalynn? I think that's her name…" Dr. Gomez had a questioning look on his face, "Well then Ms. Evergreen, I will have a look into that but you are all set. I will take a look into your blood once you leave, but until then don't get into any trouble that can get you killed." She nodded her head and asked, "Will I be seeing you again Dr. Gomez?" He smiled and typed something into his computer, " You will see me next week, It will just be a check up and another blood draw, nothing out of the ordinary." Esther replied, "Well, okay…doesn't seem too bad. " Dr. Gomez stood up from his chair and walked to the door, but before he opened it he said, "It was nice meeting you Ms. Evergreen. By the way, do you know about Aliza Evergreen?" Esther's face lit up like the sun. "Yes! Yes I do! Aliza is my cousin! What ever happened to her? Do you know?" Dr. Gomez bowed his head, "I uh, don't really know how to say this to you Ms. Evergreen, but Aliza is dead…She's been dead for about two weeks. She died from Typhus." Esther's heart broke into pieces. Tears started to stream down her cheek. But no other emotion showed on her face. Dr. Gomez wanted to reassure her that everything was going to be okay, but he knew it was not his job to comfort the fae. "What about Geralt?" Esther asked, her voice shaking. "Gone for about three years…" Dr. Gomez said, giving her a sincere look in his eyes and said, "I am really sorry for your loses Ms. Evergreen, but until then, please try to take care of yourself and for the love of God…please don't get yourself killed. Please let me look forward to seeing you next week. Okay?" Esther lifted her head and nodded in reassurance. opened the door and motioned Miguel to come back into the room. Miguel roughly released Esther from her restraints. He lifted her up and nearly dragged her out of the room. She felt like crying again. But Esther thought to herself that not much would happen with water flowing down from her face and tried to hold back while her vision was foggy. It could have been from the shots or the trauma, maybe both? A few minutes later, Miguel threw open the door and shoved Esther into the cell. Syrena sighed in relief. Juniper's eyes lit up in hope and Rosalynn closed her eyes and smiled.
