(Third Person Point of View)

The Youngest and the Middle Sons of Kronos stood together in silence as they watched a woman in labor and in grave pain. Both of them loved the woman fiercely,

She was like a Queen among mortals. Her light brown hair clung to her forehead as she cried in pain, pushing as hard as she could.

Poseidon and Zeus looked at each other in understanding.

Sally knew she was dying. She knew that she was going to die… but she would give life to her son. With one last push, a baby's cry could be heard as she passed away.

Poseidon and Zeus felt grief rip through their entire being.

Before they could form a storm or do anything, a soft voice cut through their minds, "The Oath Keeper and the Weavers will not be happy~."

Both swiftly turned to the sudden voice, and saw a woman, no, a Primidioal.

Ananke, the mother of the Fates.

The Sons of Kronos bowed before her,

Zeus asked, "What do you want?"

"Want? Nothing…. But you, on the other hand… Do you want your son to live a full life, do you not? Do you wish him to live to his full potential?"

Poseidon sighed and then said, "Of course we do! But our hands are tied…."

Ananke said, "Ah, but mine is not. What if I told you that there was a parallel world similar to ours but different? What if I told you that there are no gods and no Fates there."

Zeus asked her wearily, "What is the catch?"

"You both have to bless your son, and you may never see him again… but he may live a full life." She replied.

Poseidon said softly, "What is the world like?"

Ananke said, "The world is divided into four nations, Water, Earth, Fire and Air. The Water Tribes are at the north and south poles… and there is a swamp water benders. The Water Benders are resourceful and adaptive... The Earth Kingdom is full of hardy people. The Fire Nation is technologically advanced for their world. The Air Nomads are free-spirited people."

Zeus said, "Why our son?"

Ananke said, "Children of a Broken Oath will be heavily disciplined by both Fates and Oath Keeper. This will be a mercy for him."

The two brothers looked at each other for a moment before nodding their heads once. They said in unison, "We agree."

Ananke said, "Good, now both of you give him your full blessing and anything else you want him to have."

Zeus sighed, then blessed his son and gave him an Imperial Gold Spear that was enchanted to turn into a lightning bolt pendant.

Poseidon blessed his son with a heavy heart and gave him a Trident made of Atlantian Silver that shrunk down to a Trident pendent.

They sighed and asked her, "Now what?"

Kymopoleia appeared and said, "Father, Uncle… I sensed a storm brewing… I sense the power within the baby. I, too, would like to bless him."

Ananke said, "Yes. Be quick about it.:

Kymopoleia reached out and blessed the child of Sea, Sky, and Storm.

Zeus and Poseidon muttered softly, "We will always love you… may Luck and Fortune smile upon you."

An icy wind blew through the room, and all the deities vanished.

There was a Violent Sea Storm. The most Violent one seen in over a hundred years. Through the Sea Storm, a rift opened up between the worlds and realms, and a baby basket was dropped into the sea.

As the baby basket drifted on the sea. It started to float away from the great storm, and then the storm seemed to calm down. However, the sea's current diligently pulled the basket north.

The baby boy drifted northward as a boat sailed south, a Northern Water Tribe boat.

They saw the basket, and Water bent the basket and baby onto the boat.

"What do we do?" The First Mate asked.

The Captain said after a moment, "We head back to the tribe, with the child. Clearly, this is the sole survivor of the storm."

The crew murmured among themselves for a moment. The First Mate said, "Aye, Captain!"

Tuning the boat around, they started to sail home.

The scouting party arrived at their home with the baby boy, who seemed to sleep during the sail back.

Arnook, the King of the Nothern Water Tribes, could feel the raw power of the boy long before he laid his eyes on him.

The Moon and Ocean Spirits swirled around each other, sensing the Son of the Sea god… though there was more to the baby but, they could not place a fin on it.

The baby boy was carried into the nursery of Arnook's Wife, who was due in a couple of weeks to any day now.

The baby opened up his eyes; the left eye was Sky Blue, while the right eye was Sea Green. Within the baby's eyes was a hurricane's power,

Arnook looked down at the baby in the crib,

There was a name on the basket; Perseus.

He pondered what that word meant, but he knew that it was a mighty name. He could feel something shifting in the realm of Spirits and in the Winds.

The boy was in a water bending stance and was training hard as an older master taught him.

Perseus, or Percy as he preferred to be called, water dueled his teacher, Pakku.

Percy commanded the water as he growled, annoyed at his teachers as they all bent the stream of water that he was using to stall it.

Pakku snapped, "Calm yourself, Perseus! You are not a savage. You are the adopted son of the Chief of the Nothern Water Tribe."

Percy huffed and rolled out of the way of the icicle that stabbed where he had been standing a moment before.

He said darkly, "If you would allow me, I am certain I could defeat them, but you always hold me back!"

The winds began to stir, and the waves grew choppy.

Pakku glared at his student and said, "You are powerful, yes. But you need to fine-tune your control."

Percy glowered at his teacher. His eyes were filled with a storm of emotion. He said icily. "I want to travel the world."

Pakku sighed and said, "Go train with your spear and hunting teacher."

Chief Arnook saw this from afar.

A few minutes later, Arnook asked Pakku, "What are we going to do?"

Pakku sighed and said, "We cannot keep stalling him… he is far more powerful than I am. I taught him nearly everything I know. The water obeys him. He does not merely bend the water. He commands and controls it."

Arnook said, "He is too skilled with the bone spears… he can fight all of the non-benders and win with just the spear." He sighed and said, "Yue and him are close. He would do anything for her. Spirits forbid someone does something to her…."

Pakku shuddered in fear, knowing the wrath of the child was something he did not want. He sighed and then said, "I know someone who might be able to further his training in the way of the Spear…. Though it is near the heart of the fire nation… a friend of a friend of mine."

Arnook nodded his head and said, "If we allow him to leave now, on our terms, he may yet come back to us."

Pakku nodded his head, "That was the hope."

Arnook asked, "Who is your friend?"

"Piandao, the master of the sword," Pakku replied.

Perseus was on a small wooden boat with barely enough supplies to get him to the Northern Earth Kingdom.

He looked at Yue and said softly to her, "I love you… If nothing else. I will return to you."

Yue hugged him tightly and whispered softly in his ear, "See that you do… I love you, Percy."

They may have been twelve years old, but they cared deeply for each other.

Yue kissed him on the cheek and said, "Come back to me one day."

He smiled and said softly, "You know that you have my loyalty… you have always been there for me…." He sighed and said, "I wish you could come with me, Yue."

"Me too, Me too, but we both have a calling to fulfill." She said softly.

Pakku handed his student a scroll and said, "Give this to Piandao."

Percy sighed and said to him, "Thank you, Pakku. I am sorry I lost my temper."

The Water Bending Master bowed his head and said, "All is forgiven. Try to come back in one piece."

He chuckled softly and said, "I will try."

Chief Arnook stepped forward.

Percy said, "Thank you, Arnook. For raising me and for accepting me," He bowed his head in respect.

Arnook said, "It was an honor. Stay true to who you are…." He smirked and said, "And try not to lose your temper."

Percy rolled his multi-colored eyes fondly and said, "I will try."

Arnook handed Percy a bag of Northern Water Tribe Currency and said, "You may, no, you will need some money for your travels. Remember, the further South you go, the less our money will be worth."

Percy nodded his head and said, "Thank you…." He stood tall and said to the gathered people, "May the Spirits be with you and bless you."

Arnook got off of the boat and said, "Be strong."

He nodded his head, and with a slow, deliberate motion, he bent the water to pull him toward the Open Sea.

The cold arctic sea air filled Percy's lungs as he willed the sea's current to pull him swiftly to the open sea.
