Like always a gigantic thank you to my friend and beta, TheShadowsEdge

Sharon woke up feeling a bit disoriented. She wasn't really accustomed to napping during the day after a full night's sleep. Resting a few well deserved hours after or during a long case never gave her that drowsy feeling. She opened her eyes for a second and wondered where she was. If it wasn't for the warm body behind her and the strong arms holding her, she might have panicked. But Andy was there, she was safe.

He moved gently, untangling them. He placed tons of warm kisses on her shoulders and neck, making her moan and close her eyes again. "We're at the Chalet," he murmured, as if reading her mind. "Rest as long as you want, Babe. I'm going upstairs to see the kids."

She was too comfy to make any other sounds than a few grumbles. She didn't go back to sleep but she stayed in that delirious state between dreaming and awake. Her thoughts were both in the present and not. She relived the nice moments she had with her kids, the laugh they had skiing. Oh she was so happy, so very very happy. She had been happy when they were kids, seeing the world through their eyes full of wonder. Nothing will compare to these memories. It would be treasures she'll cherish for her whole life: their first steps, them being all smiley and innocent, drawing with them, witnessing them learning so many things … but now, it was another form of happiness.

Now all her kids were grown and out of college. She could bond with them without thinking about each word she uttered and how they might turn it into bad words. No one was going to throw a tantrum over the tiniest of things. She wasn't worried about money anymore and most of all, she had someone she could completely rely on.

Those happy thoughts trigger some more happy ones. Oh Andy. How much she loved that man. He truly was something. After Jack, who she never thought she'd ever divorce, she wasn't interested in relationships anymore. She just wanted to live a quiet life devoid of any drama. She had finally reached financial stability and quite intended on never ever having to worry about money for the rest of her life. She shivered remembering what it felt to be without a penny, having to work double shifts to meet ends and being robbed of moments she'll never have again with her kids.

With Andy there was also another certainty she had lacked in her previous marriage: being loved. Andy never missed a chance to tell her and even before that to let her know how important she was. She never had to plead for attention, she never had to wonder if her feelings were reciprocated. No, she knew, oh yeah, she KNEW. Whether he was happy or a bit mad at her, she knew right away. She was pretty sure it was that quality that made her accept to be more than mere friends. He was so far from all the rumors. Yes, he was a charmer and looked at women. He wasn't a cheater, though, not in the sense her ex-husband had been. She really believed him when he told her he never cheated. He sometimes had many girlfriends at once, if they did not decide to be in a serious and exclusive relationship. He was very honest in that way.

Coming to think about it, there was something else she found with Andy she lacked before : an amazing sex life. With him, she felt respected, cherished and always cared for. Of course, the fact that all their kids were grown up helped tremendously but she refused to believe it was only that. He was sensual. He was tender. Most of all, he valued the quality over the quantity. Maybe it came with age but it was a fact, as a woman, that she enjoyed immensely. He never let her hang all hot and bothered. Oh no.

Thinking about that wonderful skill of his, she was suddenly hyper aware of the drapes touching her bare skin. She was already very sensitive from her earlier activities and the coton touching all her body only made her even more aware of that. Above her, she could hear the faint sounds of her family's voices. Guilt assaulted her but she refused to drown in it. She had worked hard to be where she was at that very moment. She wondered for another second what Andy had said to explain her absence and what her kids really thought that she was doing. She shook her head. No. She refused to guilt herself like that, at least for that one time.

Truth to be told, she had never been feeling more women, than in that moment. There was something really decadent about being naked, after making love, in the middle of the afternoon. There was something even more outrageous to know the man she had just been with was still carrying her smell. She was pretty sure he did not take a shower before exiting their room. She stretched, feeling pretty feline and noticed the soreness in her hips. Oh yeah, feeling very womanly and decadent! She luxured a little more in the feeling of the sheets against her skin, especially against her naked chest. It was … exciting wasn't really the word but enjoyable. She stretched one more, twisting her hips one way then the other, she sighed as she felt the deep stretch in her muscles and the tension loosing down. Then, she ripped out the linens from her body, ready to affront the outside world. Or in this instance, her kids.
