The newest episode kicks off with the familiar upbeat intro music of the Beacon Podcast, fading into a shot of Yang adjusting the microphone. She's grinning wide, the bright afternoon sun casting a golden glow over the rooftop.

"Welcome back, everyone, to a brand new episode of the Beacon Podcast!" Yang says excitedly, her voice carrying a hint of mischief. "Today's a little different. You're not going crazy—this isn't Beacon's gardens, or the courtyard, or some random hallway."

Yang picks up one of her portable cameras, standing up as she speaks. "Nope! Today's episode is coming at you from waaay higher up—because we're on the roof of one of Vale's tallest buildings!"

She moves the camera around dramatically, letting it pan over the edge of the rooftop, giving viewers a breathtaking view of the city sprawling below. Cars looked like tiny dots, the streets winding like veins through the heart of Vale.

"See? I'm not kidding!" she laughs.

Off-camera, a voice casually corrects her. "Third tallest, technically."

Yang raises an eyebrow and swings the camera around, revealing Coco Adel sitting coolly on a lounge chair, sunglasses on, one leg crossed over the other like she owned the place.

"And that would be my guest for today—Coco Adel, ladies and gentlemen!" Yang announces, flipping the camera back around to herself for a second. "She's the reason we're up here at all. This rooftop podcast idea? Totally her style."

Coco offers a small wave with a smirk. "If you're gonna interview me, it better be somewhere with a view."

Yang chuckles, setting the camera back down on its tripod. "Fair enough. Honestly? You might've just set a new bar for coolest podcast location. Might have to get a permanent rooftop spot after this."

Coco tilts her shades down just enough to wink. "You're welcome."

Yang sits back down in her seat, facing the mic with her usual enthusiasm. "Alright, folks. Grab your headphones, grab your popcorn—this is gonna be a fun one. Let's dive into the life and style of the one and only Coco Adel!"

The camera zooms out a bit, showing both Yang and Coco as the city of Vale stretches out behind them, the wind lightly ruffling their hair as the rooftop episode officially gets underway.

Yang leaned forward a little in her chair, the city skyline gleaming behind her as she smiled toward Coco.

"So, Coco," Yang began, her voice full of energy, "let's start with the basics. You're basically the name around Beacon when it comes to fashion, leadership, and, let's be honest, a little bit of fear factor." She smirked. "But for those who might not know the real Coco Adel, tell us: where did you grow up, and how did you end up deciding to come to Beacon?"

Coco casually leaned back in her chair, removing her sunglasses just enough to make direct eye contact with the camera. "I grew up just outside Vale, actually. A quieter part of the city. My family's always been pretty well-connected — my mom's a designer, and my dad's an architect. So, growing up, creativity and discipline were basically the two pillars of my life. But…I didn't just want to sketch clothes or draft buildings. I wanted to do something. Make a real difference. And Beacon?" She smiled. "Beacon was the first place that felt like it could handle both my talents and my ambitions."

Yang nodded, genuinely impressed. "That's awesome. You know, a lot of people see you and just think, 'Oh, Coco's the cool, stylish one.' They don't always realize there's a lot more to you."

"Good," Coco said smoothly. "That's the point. Gotta keep a few surprises up my sleeve."

Yang laughed. "Alright, next question: how would you describe your time at Beacon so far? Any standout moments?"

Coco thought for a moment, resting her chin on her hand. "Beacon's been…a ride. I mean, between the missions, the tournaments, and some of the weirdest cafeteria food combinations I've ever seen, there's always something happening. But I think what stands out the most is the people. I came here thinking I'd have to handle everything myself, you know? But Velvet, Fox, Yatsuhashi…they proved me wrong. They're family now."

Yang grinned. "Aww. That's so wholesome! And speaking of Velvet…I gotta ask, Coco: were you even a little bit salty that Velvet got interviewed before you?"

Coco tilted her head, lifting her shades up to her forehead. "Was I salty? Maybe a little." She smiled. "Velvet's amazing, don't get me wrong, but usually I'm the first person people want to talk to."

Yang laughed and shrugged. "In my defense…Velvet's cute. How could I resist?"

Coco narrowed her eyes playfully. "You better be careful with that compliment, Xiao Long. That's my partner you're talking about."

Yang threw her hands up dramatically. "All respect, I promise!"

Both of them shared a good laugh, the sunlight casting a warm glow over the rooftop.

Yang leaned back, letting the laughter die down before jumping into her next question. "Okay, serious face now. What's something about being a Huntress-in-training that you think most people don't understand?"

Coco leaned forward slightly. "Honestly? It's not all glory. Most of it is hard work, long hours, and a lot of…let's say 'controlled chaos.' People think it's all big battles and dramatic rescues, but they don't see the nights where you're patching yourself up after a bad mission or helping a teammate through a tough time. It's messy. But it's real. And I wouldn't trade it for anything."

Yang nodded thoughtfully. "Man, you're really giving the future students something to think about."

Coco smirked. "Good. They need to know what they're signing up for."

Yang sat up straighter, sensing it was a good time for a fun shift. "If you could design one completely over-the-top, totally impractical weapon just for fun — no limits — what would it be?"

Coco immediately burst into a grin. "Easy. A high-heeled boot launcher."

Yang blinked. "I'm sorry, a what now?"

"A boot launcher," Coco repeated proudly. "You press a button, and the heel launches like a missile. Bonus points if it homes in on the target."

Yang laughed so hard she nearly dropped her microphone. "I swear, Coco, you're going to be the reason Atlas starts manufacturing fashion-based artillery."

"Good. They could use a little style."

Yang twirled the microphone between her fingers, grinning across the table at Coco. The breeze high above Vale whipped at her hair as she leaned in with her usual energy.

"Alright, Coco," Yang began, "let's jump right into it. Picture this — a world where you didn't come to Beacon Academy. No missions, no Grimm, no combat classes. What do you think you'd be doing instead?"

Coco leaned back in her chair, her designer boots propped neatly at the edge of the table. She tapped her chin thoughtfully, her sunglasses glinting in the setting sun.

"Honestly?" she said with a half-smile, "I'd probably be running my own fashion house. Full collection — clothing, accessories, combat-ready armor pieces…you name it. I'd be designing things that not only looked good but could take a hit. I've always believed you shouldn't have to pick between being protected and looking fabulous."

Yang whistled low. "So you'd be kicking fashion's ass and making people look good while doing it."

"Exactly," Coco said with a short laugh. "I already had a couple designs drawn up before I even got to Beacon. Combat skirts, tactical boots, weapon-holster jackets… I was gonna change the game."

"I'd totally buy something from your store," Yang said, grinning wide. "You'd have, like, a six-month waitlist."

Coco smirked. "You? You'd be a VIP customer. I'd even sneak you some prototypes."

Yang wiggled her eyebrows. "Hold you to that, Coco."

Yang tapped the mic again, mischief flashing in her eyes. "Alright, now for something a little more spicy." She leaned in dramatically. "When Velvet was here, she talked a lot about you. Only good things, by the way. Really sweet."

Coco tilted her head, interested. "Yeah?"

Yang smirked even wider. "Oh yeah. So I gotta ask — now it's your turn. What do you see in Velvet?"

Coco smiled lightly, shifting her glasses up her nose. "Velvet's…incredible. She's brave, even if she doesn't always realize it. She's the kind of person who makes you want to be better just by being around her. She's got more inner strength than most people twice her size. And when she commits to something, she gives it everything she's got."

Her voice softened just a little. "She's got this quiet resilience. She's never needed to be loud to be powerful. It's something I really admire."

Yang, not letting the opportunity slide, leaned forward again, lowering her voice in a mock-whisper. "Sooo…any hints of something more between you two?"

Coco blinked behind her glasses, her expression blank for a full second before she gave Yang a very dry look. "You're lucky you're cute, Xiao Long."

Yang threw her head back laughing, nearly dropping her mic.

"I had to ask!" she said, snickering. "Podcaster's obligation!"

Coco crossed her arms, shaking her head with mock disappointment. "Strictly professional. Velvet's my partner. My friend. That's family to me."

Yang wiped a fake tear from her eye. "Man, the way you said all that…I almost wanted to ship you two harder."

Coco gave a long-suffering sigh, but she couldn't hide her amused grin.

Yang shook her head fondly and leaned in again. "Alright, changing gears. I gotta ask about Yatsuhashi and Fox — they politely turned down appearing on the podcast. But for the fans out there dying to know: what's something about them you wish more people knew?"

Coco's smile turned genuine. "Yats is…gentle. People see this massive guy and assume he's all muscle, no brain. Couldn't be more wrong. He's probably the most thoughtful person I know. Reads philosophy in his free time. Helps first-years study. Never raises his voice unless absolutely necessary."

Yang gave an impressed nod. "I always thought there was something…Zen about him."

"Exactly," Coco said. "And Fox — Fox is sharp. Losing his hearing? It didn't hold him back. It sharpened his other senses. He's observant. Fast. And, between you and me?" She grinned. "His dry humor is lethal. One time, he got the whole team with a joke so deadpan we didn't realize it was a joke until like ten minutes later."

Yang laughed. "Now I wish he had come on!"

"You and me both," Coco said with a smirk.

Yang sat up straighter, rubbing her hands together. "Okay! Rapid-fire round. Three random questions. You ready?"

"Bring it," Coco said, adjusting her sunglasses.

"Favorite snack?"

"Chocolate-covered coffee beans," Coco answered immediately.

Yang stared. "That explains so much about your energy."

"Fuel of champions," Coco replied with a wink.

"Dream vacation spot?"

"Private island," Coco answered, stretching lazily. "Sun, surf, no schedules. Just good company and good food."

Yang gave a theatrical sigh. "You live the dream even in hypotheticals."

"Go big or go home, babe," Coco quipped.

"Alright, last one… If you could steal one thing from Professor Port's office, what would it be?"

Coco pretended to think seriously. "That huge painting of him wrestling a Goliath. It's so over-the-top, it belongs over my future boutique's fireplace."

Yang burst into laughter, clutching her stomach. "I dare you to do it. Please. Before we graduate."

"Consider it on my list," Coco said, giving her a two-fingered salute.

Yang wiped at her eyes, still chuckling. "Man, this episode's gonna go down as one of my favorites."

"You know it," Coco said, tilting her sunglasses down and flashing a wink.

The wind picked up slightly as the two of them settled back, the sun dipping low behind the Vale skyline, casting a golden glow across the rooftop — the perfect backdrop for a conversation that was equal parts stylish and sincere.

Yang raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on her face as she leaned in toward Coco. "Alright, Coco," she said, "we've had a blast today, but I've got one final question for you. Why did you want today's episode to air here? On the rooftop, no less."

Coco grinned mischievously, leaning back in her chair with a casual shrug. "Well," she started, a playful twinkle in her eyes, "I was planning on doing some shopping afterward. Figured I might as well get a good view of Vale while I'm at it, and hey, why not kill two birds with one stone? Plus, I knew you'd love the excuse to be on top of one of Vale's tallest buildings."

Yang laughed, shaking her head. "Typical Coco move—get a podcast and a shopping trip in one go. Can't say I blame you though. That sounds pretty awesome."

Coco gave her a wink. "Exactly. Priorities, Yang."

Yang let out a chuckle and turned to face the camera, wrapping up the episode with a wide grin. "Well, there you have it, folks. Another episode of Beacon Podcast in the bag. Special thanks to Coco for making this rooftop session happen. Who knows where we'll be next, but it's gonna be hard to top this view. Stay tuned, and as always, keep those questions coming. See you next time!"

With a final wave, Yang turned off the camera, satisfied with another fun, spontaneous episode.
