Deep within the land of Sanrio, there lives an adorable creature by the name of Pompompurin. He is a good natured golden retriever who loves his mama's pudding and spends most of his time sleeping, doing 'purin aerobics,' and hanging out with his best friends. His trademark brown beret sits atop his head like a crown 24/7. His favorite hobby is collecting shoes. He is 5 big puddings tall and one watermelon in weight.
One day while Pompompurin was shopping at the store, he suddenly got the craving for some caramel pudding. Though he couldn't have his mama's pudding, he figured he could settle for some store bought pudding. He made his way over to the sweets aisle and as he stepped forwards, his eyes wandered hungerly. "I wonder where the pudding is?" he pondered as he looked around. He went from shelf to shelf searching eagerly for his beloved pudding. "It has to be here somewhere," he said as he peered behind a loaf of sweet bread.
"Can I help you?" said a voice to the left.
"Ah!" yelped Pompompurin. "You scared me!"
"Ah, apologies," said the worker. "You seemed to be having trouble finding an item and I figured I could help."
"It's okay. I was just trying to find some caramel pudding!"
"Caramel pudding? Haven't you heard?"
"Heard about what? How yummy it is?"
"No! There's a global caramel shortage and they can't produce any more pudding!"
Pompompurins heart sank as he heard this news.
"You mean there's no caramel pudding anywhere!?"
"Unfortunately no. We're completely out of stock."
The world seemed to collapse around Pompompurin as ran out of the store. His eyes began to water as he ran towards the next closest convenience store. He burst through the doors and ran towards the front counter.
"Quick! Do you have any caramel pudding?" He exclaimed.
"Gah!~" yelped the worker. "I'm so sorry but we ran out a few hours ago!"
"Noooo" Pompompurin said sadly. He slowly sulked out of the store and back to his house where Cinnamoroll was waiting.
"Did you find any pudding?" asked Cinnamoroll.
"No…" muttered Pompompurin. "They were all out of pudding everywhere." He sat down next to the tree in his front yard and sadly laid out to take a nap.
"Don't feel too sad, Pompompurin, there's a solution!" exclaimed Cinnamoroll.
"Oh yeah? What's that, cry?"
"No silly, make our own pudding!"
"But we have no caramel."
"That's true, but there's gotta be something that tastes just as good as caramel!"
"I can't think of anything as good as caramel, caramel's the best."
"I know something, I got it for you while you were looking for pudding."
"What's that?"
"Close your eyes and hold out your hands." Pompompurin closed his eyes and eagerly held out his hands. Cinnamoroll placed a glass jar in his hands softly.
"Okay, open your eyes!" Pompompurin opened his eyes and set his sights on what was in his hands.
"Butterscotch! Cinnamoroll you're a genius!" He exclaimed. He gave Cinnamoroll a big hug and then ran into his house excitedly to start making pudding.
