A/N: This story crosses paths with Turning Blue (One of my other Turning Red fics) They are in the same universe. You not need to read it to understand this story, but for certain things would require some knowledge
With that said, enjoy!
He opened his eyes and took in the sight of the deserted party tables stretching out before him. Another night... and another day in the life of this machine.
Glancing to his left and right, he noticed the two other robotic animals either side of him.
It had been a while since he'd become this... blue rabbit.
Locked in its idle mode, he had to force the animatronic to move—its arm abruptly colliding with the bear beside him. The impact nearly sent the lifeless animatronic toppling over.
"Oh—shit... sorry, Freddy..." he muttered to the lifeless animatronic bear.
With a heavy sigh, he turned his gaze back to the tables. Then, his eyes wandered down the hallway to his right. "Are the others up yet...?" he wondered as he attempted to step off the rabbit's joints were shaky from the rough morning it had. "Come on... they couldn't have oiled Toy Bonnie's joints for crying out loud? It's so hard to walk..."
He ambled down the hallway towards the parts and service room. Peering into the corridor leading to the corner office, he noted the absence of the night guard.
Probably wouldn't be for a while.
The door to the parts and service room creaked open, and out stepped a battered rabbit. It didn't seem pleased to see him. "Ugh, what is it, Liam..." it grumbled.
"Just checking on you all, Jeremy..." Liam replied.
"And why is that?" Jeremy snapped, a trace of anger in his voice as he stepped closer.
Liam sighed. "Don't tell me you're still... untrusting of me?"
Jeremy's exasperated sigh was glitched, then the red eyes on his exposed robot's endoskeleton flickered. "It's just hard being around... someone who's older than all of us..."
After another resigned sigh, Jeremy asked, "So... how was your day? You're the only one among us who possess one of the working animatronics,"
"Ugh, tiring..." Liam answered as he started walking, motioning for Jeremy to follow him. They made their way over to the main stage. "During the day, I'm forced to mimic the animatronic's movements..." Liam explained.
"I see..." Jeremy observed silently.
"It's not all bad, though. I do enjoy seeing the kids' happy faces," Liam admitted, a brief spark of glee lighting up his animatronic eyes. "But it's sickening... knowing these kids are here while..."
"I know..." Jeremy interjected. "This is why—"
"No, we can't, Jeremy. We don't really know who did this to us. At least, we know it was a worker. But that doesn't give us the right to take it out on every night guard who walks in here!" Liam cut him off.
Ever since they lost their lives in this very pizzeria, their souls had been forced into the animatronic mascots they now inhabited. They were all children, robbed of the lives they once knew—They're all upset, and angry, and want revenge for it.
But Liam didn't want that. Being the oldest at 17, he wanted to help guide them, like how an older brother would help their younger siblings.
Jeremy sighed. "I... I'm just angry, Liam. We all are..."
"I know..." Liam murmured.
Jeremy turned and walked away. "I'm going to wander around... Got nothing better to do..."
Liam nodded silently, watching Jeremy disappear, a feeling of guilt gnawing at him. He knew who had done it—but he couldn't reveal it, not if it meant the other children might act rashly.
It was a man named William Afton, the billionaire co-owner in with the pizzeria. Liam had never expected such a revered figure to be a murderer. A year ago, he'd been granted a private tour of the pizzeria—not for a solitary pizza party, but to observe the inner workings of the robots and learn about their history. Liam had always been fascinated by animatronics, even aspiring to take classes in the field of robotics.
But that day had turned everything upside down.
He had met William Afton himself—one of the world's smartest and richest robotics engineers. Liam had idolized him. William Afton, the god of robotics and engineering.
Yet when Liam's tour commenced, his life was taken out by William.
Liam believed he had died, but what followed was a twisted rebirth—his soul trapped within one of Afton's creations.
Liam wandered through the pizzeria until he found himself in the restroom. Not to wash up—any water would damage the robot he'd become, would make it hard to move—but merely to catch a glimpse of his reflection.
Staring into the mirror, he saw the blue, rosy-cheeked animatronic rabbit he'd become nearly a year ago. "Holy... crap... I still can't believe this..." he whispered, blinking in disbelief. He raised his hands to the faceplates, prying them open slightly to reveal a flash of the endoskeleton beneath. Satisfied yet sorrowful, he released his grip and continued to study his reflection. With creaking gears announcing his movements, he turned toward the restroom door.
Outside, the other animatronics moving around, and corresponding with one another.
He longed to reveal the truth about Afton, but decided it was better to wait.
Morning was on the horizon, and not a single night guard had shown up during the long, silent night.
"Ugh, maybe Gabriel and Jeremy really did scare him off for good..." Liam mused to himself, feeling a stirring deep within as he stood alone by one of the tables.
"Oh, crap..." he muttered as the robot began its pre-dawn activation. Soon, he'd lose control until midnight the next day.
Then, Liam felt the robot begin to move autonomously. It made its way toward the stage where Toy Freddy and Toy Chica lay dormant.
Toy Bonnie—his own animatronic—stepped onto the stage, spun around to face the tables, and froze in place.
"Great... they better not have me singing 'Take On Me' again..." Liam grumbled. "I've heard that song so many times I'm on the brink of insanity..." Fazbear Entertainment has been going crazy with the new songs lately. They believed that if the animatronics belted out trendy hits, popularity would soar. And, well... they did.
The real downside, however, was that Liam was forced to move in sync with the animatronic as it sang and danced, with the song blasting relentlessly in his ears.
"At least let them sing 'Running Up That Hill'for Pete's sake..." he thought, just as someone entered through the front door. Liam stayed still while Toy Bonnie clutched its electric guitar.
Two men stepped inside. The second closed the door behind him.
"So... Mr. Fitzgerald?" the suited man said. "I'm pleased you arrived early. I guess you wanted to see what this place is like during the day?"
The other man nodded. "Yes, I loved this place as a kid—I remember that old diner."
"Oh yes, Fredbear' ... haven't heard that name in a while," the first man replied.
Liam silently observed the conversation.
"Jeremy, there are a few things you need to know before you start your shift tonight—"
That caught Liam's attention.
"D–Did that man just say night ga—" But before he could finish, a burst of children flooded into the restaurant, their noisy chatter drowning out the men's conversation.
"Oh come on..." Liam muttered to himself, squinting past the group. He caught a glimpse of one of the men slipping out the door.
"We really have a new night guard? The others better not scare him away..." But his thought was cut short as Toy Bonnie jerked suddenly.
"Oof!" Liam grunted.
Toy Bonnie then launched into a dance to the beat of "Take On Me."
"Ugh, not 'Take On Me' again!" Liam yelled to nobody.
We're talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Today is another day to find you...
Liam just sighed internally. It felt like the song was on an endless loop in his head.
At least for today, there was a slight reprieve—a change to the Birthday Song.
For a child celebrating a birthday at the restaurant, Toy Bonnie, Toy Freddy, and Toy Chica all joined in the performance.
Seeing the child's bright smile warmed Liam's heart. Despite being bound to a robot he could only operate freely at night, this was the only thing worth it. Watching that birthday kid laughing and enjoying the celebration reminded him that none of the souls deserved what had happened. They were just like that kid—innocent, enjoying themselves at their favorite pizza place.
Even though Liam couldn't fully control Toy Bonnie during performances, he still managed the eyes. They darted over to the Prize Counter where a giant Jack-in-the-Box sat on the floor.
"Charlie..." Liam murmured. "You... really didn't deserve what happened to you..."
Charlotte had been locked out of the restaurant one night, becoming an easy target for Afton.
Sometimes Liam tried to reach out to her during the night, but being older and newer, he wasn't fully trusted by the others.
Lost in deep thought, Liam longed to make things right, though he wasn't sure how.
Suddenly, the power went out. Liam gasped as did the children, a few of whom began to cry.
His eyes shifted to Toy Freddy. A music box is supposed to turn on in the animatronic bear when power outages happen like this. It plays calming classical music, while inside Freddy's head, glows an illuminating light to calm the children down in situations like this.
A sharp crack echoed before the music box sprang to life, and Toy Freddy's head lit up, bathing the room in a gentle glow.
The children's sobs slowly subsided as light filled the dining area.
"Everyone, please remain calm," a worker announced. "It's just a power outage. There's a dark cloud outside—probably a storm. We're safe in here,"
But as the worker spoke to the children, Liam felt his body begin to loosen. He moved his arms ever so slightly and gasped.
"I... I'm turned off..." Liam looked down slightly and saw his feet sparking a bit. "Oh crap..."
Toy Bonnie was connected to a continuous power source on stage, yet that had backfired—the power surge from the outage had traveled through the charging base, damaging Toy Bonnie's servos and possibly frying its battery.
Now, Liam was gripped with worry. With the power gone, he was in full control—Not the robot. That means when the power would come back on, he'd still be in full control of Toy Bonnie.
He'd have to dance for real as the animatronic, he wasn't sure if he could pull that off.
Then, out of the corner of his vision, something began to glow in one of the party rooms—only to vanish as quickly as it appeared.
"What the hell was that?" he wondered softly.
