My Hero Academia The new rise of Prime

The training hall echoed with the energy of anticipation. The students of Class 1-A stood side by side, their eyes fixed on All Might as he stood at the front of the room, larger than life. Despite the vibrant smile plastered on his face, the air was heavy.

"This is it, young heroes!" All Might's voice boomed, his arms gesturing dramatically. "Today, we'll test your abilities in a practical scenario — a simulated battle between heroes and villains!"

The rules were simple. Two students would play the role of villains, guarding a mock nuclear device. The heroes' objective was to secure the device or capture the villains. On the other side, the villains could win by guarding the device until time ran out or capturing the heroes.

"As aspiring heroes, you must be prepared to face overwhelming odds," All Might continued, "and sometimes, those odds will be your own classmates!"

The class murmured with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. But one student remained still.

Izuku Midoriya.

He didn't blink. He didn't shift. He was simply waiting.

"All right!" All Might beamed. "Let's draw the teams!"

A small machine clicked, spitting out randomized slips of paper.

"Team A! Heroes: Midoriya and Uraraka!"

Uraraka's eyes widened, but she quickly forced a nervous smile. "Oh! Uh, guess we're partners, huh?"

Izuku didn't respond. His mind was already elsewhere.

"Team B! Villains: Bakugo and Iida!"

The room went still.

Bakugo's grin twisted into something vicious, his crimson eyes flashing. "Perfect."

The Scenario Begins

The industrial training facility was designed to mimic an urban environment, complete with mock buildings and dimly lit corridors. In one of the upper floors of a simulated warehouse, the fake bomb sat ominously, with Iida standing guard. His stern expression conveyed his resolve.

But Bakugo was nowhere near the bomb.

Instead, he stalked through the darkened halls, explosions sparking from his palms. Every step he took was deliberate.

"Deku…" he growled under his breath. "You think you're gonna make me look like a joke? Think again."

His fingers twitched in anticipation. Today, he'd put that bastard in his place.

Meanwhile, Izuku stood outside the building, his gaze fixed on the towering structure before him. Uraraka stood at his side, fidgeting nervously.

"So… um, what's the plan?" she asked, trying to break the silence.

"I'll handle Bakugo," Izuku said, his voice cold and steady. "You focus on Iida and the bomb."

"But—"

"I won't lose." His tone left no room for argument.

Uraraka swallowed hard. "O-Okay."

With that, Izuku launched himself forward. Not with a sprint. Not with any discernible effort. He simply lifted off the ground, floating with ease before surging ahead in a blur. The shockwave from his sudden acceleration cracked the pavement beneath him.

Uraraka could only watch in awe.

Inside the Building

Bakugo's explosions echoed through the halls, but the next sound he heard wasn't one of his own.

It was the low hum of the air shifting.

Whoosh.

Before Bakugo could react, a gust of wind slammed through the corridor. A figure appeared — not running, not walking, but hovering just above the floor.

Izuku.

"Looking for me?"

Bakugo grinned. "Damn right!"

Without a second thought, he launched himself forward, his explosions propelling him through the air. His gauntlets gleamed, designed to store and amplify the force of his blasts.

But Izuku didn't move.

Bakugo's first explosion roared through the air, but as the smoke cleared, his fists met nothing. Izuku had shifted to the side in an instant, the sheer speed of his movement sending a pulse through the air.

Bakugo snarled. "Quit running, coward!"

"You think I'm running?" Izuku's eyes flashed. "No. I'm waiting."

Before Bakugo could process those words, Izuku's hand shot out. Faster than Bakugo's body could react, his palm met the blonde's chest. There was no dramatic punch. No flourish. Just an effortless shove.

And yet, Bakugo was sent crashing through the wall.

The impact echoed through the building, a cloud of dust and debris billowing from the gaping hole. Bakugo staggered to his feet, coughing violently. His gauntlets shook. But the worst part wasn't the pain.

It was the humiliation.

"You…" Bakugo growled, wiping blood from his mouth. "You think you're better than me?!"

"I don't think," Izuku replied, stepping through the rubble. "I know."

Bakugo roared, igniting another explosion. But before the flames could reach Izuku, he disappeared.

No. Not disappeared. Moved.

In an instant, Izuku was behind him. Bakugo spun, his eyes wide. But he was too slow. Izuku grabbed his arm, the strength of his grip alone making Bakugo wince.

"You always thought power was about destruction," Izuku whispered, his voice like ice. "But you never understood. True power is control."

With a single motion, Izuku flung Bakugo across the room. The blonde's body slammed into the concrete floor, the cracks spreading beneath him. He groaned, trying to rise — but before he could, Izuku was there again. This time, his foot pressed down on Bakugo's chest.

"Pathetic."

Bakugo thrashed, his face burning with rage. "Get… off… me!"

"No," Izuku sneered. "You don't call the shots anymore."

The sound of a buzzer echoed through the air.

"All Might here! Team A wins! The heroes have secured the objective!"

Uraraka's voice rang through the comms. "I-I did it! I got the bomb!"

But Bakugo didn't move. He could only stare at the ceiling, his pride shattered beneath the weight of Izuku's foot.

Izuku leaned down, his voice dropping to a whisper only Bakugo could hear.

"That's why your mother always favored me over you."

The words hit like a punch to the gut. Bakugo froze, the fury in his eyes replaced by something far more painful.

And with that, Izuku stepped away, leaving Bakugo in the dust.
