Enzo's stomach flipped as he knocked on the door. It swung open with a near-silent creak. The look on Margot's face made his heart sink even further. "How is she?" he whispered.

The sound of retching in the background only made Enzo pale. Margot turned to him with a pointed look. "How do you think?"

There was the sound of shuffling feet before a bed creaked. Oh, what Enzo would give to be in that room, comforting his girlfriend. But first, he had to get past Margot. And judging by the look on his girlfriend's best friend's face, that wouldn't be anytime soon. Margot had been much crankier since she and Ernie broke up last week so Enzo didn't think her pity would extend to him. If the previous times were anything to go off of, she probably hated every boy in the world right now.

"Is that Enzo?" Cass's weak voice whispered from inside the bedroom.

Margot softened. "Yeah, sweetie. Don't worry. I got this. You should get some sleep."

"Don't let him in, Marg. I don't want him to see me like this. Oh no..." There was some quick movement before Enzo heard retching again.

His chest tightened even more. Enzo turned to Margot. "Please. I just want to see her—take care of her."

"You've done enough, pretty boy," Margot said with a glare.

He winced. "I swear, I really didn't think she'd get so sick. We ate there for Valentine's Day and she loved it. I was just trying to make her happy, Margot."

For Valentine's Day, Enzo had taken Cass to a romantic restaurant in London. The atmosphere was great thanks to a few musicians and the food was delicious. Cass had called it one of the best nights of her life so Enzo had taken her back not even two weeks later. He'd gotten worried the next day when she hadn't shown up to Charms class or lunch or to his dorm. Enzo thought Cass might have wanted a day off from him until Nora told him that Cass had gotten "violently sick" on her way to her first class and had been in her room since. That conversation was this morning so Enzo had immediately ditched his class and bolted up to the Hufflepuff dorms.

Enzo sighed. "I never should've taken her to London."

Margot sighed. "No, you shouldn't have but not for the reason you think. She doesn't have food poisoning."

"She doesn't? How do you know?"

"Because I helped her to the hospital wing," Margot snapped before sighing again. "Cass tested positive for muggle stomach flu. Apparently it's going around right now and London is riddled with 'germs.' Madam Pomfrey said she needs a couple of days to flush it out of her system."

"Why can't I see her then?" If Cass was sick, Enzo wanted to take care of her. He wanted to be the one feeding her soup and rubbing her aching stomach and making her feel better. He wanted to support his girlfriend in any way that he could. Why wouldn't Margot let him do that?

"You heard her! She doesn't want you to see her like this."

Enzo had opened his mouth to tell Margot that he didn't care—that no amount of vomiting would keep Cass from being the most beautiful woman in the world—but he was stopped by the arrival of someone.

Ernie.

"Margot, baby," Ernie panted. "I realized what I did wrong. I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I forgot our anniversary. I'm so sorry, baby, let me make it up to you."

"Ernie, save it," Margot snapped. "This is one week too late."

"Don't say that! It's never too late. I love you so much. I—"

"If you loved me, you would have remembered!" Margot snapped, stepping up to Ernie and poking him in the chest. "I can't believe you..."

But Enzo didn't hear what Margot said. All he saw was Margot's stubborn body step away from the doorframe to scold her ex-boyfriend. Enzo slipped inside the room before she could stop him, slowly shutting the door behind him. If he knew Margot and Ernie, they'd probably be going back to his bedroom in a couple to minutes to make up anyway.

Cass was back in bed, her skin pale and her cheeks flushed. Sweat beaded on her forehead. Occasionally, a shudder wracked through her body. Enzo quickly darted over to the other side of the room. He knelt in front of the bed.

Cass groaned. "Enzo?" she asked, her voice weak like before.

"I'm here, sunshine," Enzo whispered. He cupped her cheek. Merlin, her skin was so hot. "I'm here. I'm going to help you feel better."

Cass covered her face. "No, Enz. You have to go. I don't want you to see me all pukey."

"I'm not going anywhere."

"You have to! I am so gross right now. I smell like throw-up, Enz and I'm pretty sure it's going to come out the other end of me before too long. Go while your eyes, nose, and ears are all unscathed."

He couldn't help but laugh. "Cass, baby, those are all natural bodily functions. I'm not going to judge you for having them."

"Nothing is natural about this," she groaned.

Enzo laughed again. "My point is that I'm not going anywhere, even if you have sickness coming out of both ends. I love you, Cass. A little stomach flu isn't going to change that."

"This is more than a little!"

He kissed her forehead and smiled. "And I'll still be here for all of it. Now, can I please take care of you?"

Cass finally looked at him. She must have seen the sincerity in his eyes because slowly, she nodded. Enzo smiled. "Alright. I'm going to go gather some supplies. Will you be okay by yourself for a couple of minutes?"

She nodded again. "Yeah. I've gotta take my birth control and shower so I'll do that while you're gone."

Enzo helped Cass up to the shower and popped the little pill out of its container for her. He kissed her cheek. "I'll be right back."

On his way out of Cass's room, Enzo couldn't help but notice Margot and Ernie at the far end of the hallway, now making out. He rolled his eyes. They were ridiculous sometimes.

He went around Hogwarts to grab everything that he needed. The kitchens, his dormitory, to visit Theo was, regrettably, kissing Enzo's sister when he knocked on the door. Enzo was just thankful that was all they were doing. He wasn't an idiot. Enzo was the same age as Theo and he was desperate to be inside his girlfriend, too. Enzo could be hopeful but he wouldn't be naive.

Fifteen minutes later, Enzo was walking back through the door with his arms full of anything he could possibly need. Enzo dropped it all at the sound of Cass's retching in the bathroom.

She sat in front of the towel wrapped in a towel, her wet curls sticking to her back as she vomited. Enzo rushed over to her and grabbed her hair just as she was heaving again. After a few seconds, Cass sat back. "Okay, I think it's done. I hate muggles and their stupid stomachs."

Enzo laughed as he picked Cass up and placed her gently on the counter. She sat with her eyes closed as he grabbed all of the products he knew she used on her curls when she washed them. Enzo tried to apply them as best as he could; Cass giggled at his attempt to diffuse them with all of the different attachments for her blow dryer. She brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth with mouthwash while he was doing it all. By the time he was finished, Cass was already starting to look a little better. Her coloring was slowly returning and her eyes seemed a little brighter.

"Come on, sunshine. I want to wrap you in my arms and hold you for the rest of the day." Enzo picked Cass back up and brought her back to her bed. He dressed her in one of his hoodies and a pair of sweatpants that he brought back from his room. They were comically large on her. "You look cute," he said with a chuckle as Enzo dressed in the same thing. Cass smiled.

He tucked her under the covers before brewing her a cup of peppermint tea, adding way too many sugars to the mug. He didn't know how Cass could stand her tea being so sweet. He poured an anti-nausea potion Theo gave him—Theo was the best at potions out of all of the Slytherin boys—into the tea.

Next, he unloaded all of the snacks he'd brought from the kitchens. Plain toast, bananas, oatmeal, and a cup of warm broth. Enzo popped in Sleeping Beauty on the television across the room before settling into bed with her.

Cass groaned and curled into a ball. Enzo wrapped his body around hers and held her close. "You'll be okay," he whispered before kissing her head. Cass nodded slowly. Within minutes, she was asleep.

That was how Cass and Enzo's day went.

They watched movies as Cass drifted in and out of sleep. Every time she woke up, she was a little more alert and a little hungrier, which soothed Enzo's worry. She hadn't thrown up since that time after the shower so he was remaining optimistic that the stomach flu had worked its way through her. Selfishly, he hoped he was part of the reason she began to feel better.

They cuddled and kissed and cuddled some more. If his girlfriend wasn't feeling terrible, Enzo might have been in heaven. He realized that he was ready to do this for the rest of his life—hold her hair back and make her tea and wrap her in his arms. A lifetime with Cass wouldn't be long enough. Enzo resolved to take things with her to the next level as soon as he could.

By the time evening had rolled around, Cass seemed almost completely better. So much better that Enzo was hardly surprised when Cass tried to make out with him. "Baby," Enzo whispered between kisses as Cass crawled on top of him and began to thrust into him. "You've been sick. I don't want to make you feel worse."

"This will make me feel better," Cass said. Her hands went to the hem of his shirt and Enzo didn't try to fight it because, secretly, he needed her like he needed air. He didn't want to fight her on this. If his girlfriend wanted him, he wasn't going to fight her.

"Are you sure?" Enzo asked but he was already stripping off his sweats and his boxers. Cass undressed and damn. Even when she was sick she was still so fucking beautiful.

He sheathed himself inside her within seconds, practically groaning with relief as he felt her inner walls clench around him. "Sunshine," he moaned into her neck before attacking her with kisses. Cass whimpered as Enzo's thrusts turned hard and fast—though not hard or fast enough to hurt her.

Enzo turned them so he was on top of her, staring into her pretty face and burying his head in her soft curls as he moved inside her. Cass was his drug and he was an addict.

"I love you." Enzo punctuated his words with a kiss before he moved his hand down and rubbed her clit. Cass cried out and, soon, she was coming. Enzo wasn't far behind her. With one last groan, Enzo emptied himself inside of her.

"See," Cass breathed with a smile on her face as she snuggled back into his chest. Both of them were thoroughly spent and utterly satisfied. "I told you it would make me feel better."

Enzo smiled and kissed his girlfriend on her head. "I think I feel better too, sunshine. What do you want to do now?"

Cass thought for a moment, which Enzo was glad to see. If she would have asked for another round, he wouldn't have been any to say yes. There was something about that orgasm—that wonderful orgasm after he spent a day holding her and taking care of her—that sucked him dry and zapped all of his energy. "Can we watch Sleeping Beauty?" she asked after small bout of silence.

"Of course," he said with a grin because he loved how much she loved that movie. Enzo kissed her gently.

"You don't want to watch something else?"

He looked at his beautiful girlfriend. "I can't think of anything better."

Part of this chapter was inspired by how freaking sick everyone at school has been lmao. Something is indeed going around the muggle world so wash your hands y'all. Hope you're enjoying the story! Can't wait to get to the juicy stuff very very very soon :)))
