Cayenne walked inside the library and handed back the books she had brought back. She then continued further in and found Roman sitting at the same table with the same book open in front of him. She walked past him and he followed her down behind the last bookshelf like last time.
"You took down Pete," she said.
"An anonymous tip from what I hear," he grinned.
"Solo thought it was me," she said.
She pulled down the turtleneck and showed him the marks on her throat.
"I'm gonna fucking kill him!" He growled.
"I think I've earned that kill but you can kill the rest," she said.
Hearing her talk like in the old days made him smile. He pulled her in for a hug and a kiss. His lips lingered on hers for several seconds before slowly pulling apart.
"We've lost so much time," he said. "I don't want to lose another second."
"So come through for me," she said.
"We are," he said.
"I knew you would," she smiled. "So what's the plan?"
"Do they search you for weapons when returning?" He asked.
"They only searched me for my bank card the other day. They usually just let me walk in and out as I please. They got eyes on me and know I don't do anything shady when I'm out," she said.
He pulled up a knife and placed it in her hand.
"When the time comes, stand ready," he said.
"When are you attacking?" She asked.
"Tonight," he answered. "What can you do for us?"
"A lot of things," she smirked. "Stand ready at midnight. The cameras will go dark and the gate will open at the exact second. You don't have a long time to get in. Once I shut it down, an alarm will go off on Jacob's phone and he'll rush back to fix it. You only got a minute or two to make it inside. I'll leave the front door unlocked as well."
He pulled her in for another kiss and held her tight.
"Once this is over..." He started.
"You'll take me back to our bed and make up for all the lost time," she said.
He chuckled and kissed her again.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," she said. "Always have, always will. I'll see you at midnight, Roman."
Cayenne hurried out of the library and went back to Jacob's house. She acted normal all day. Once midnight drew close, she unlocked the front door and snuck to the security room. She watched the clock on the computer screen. The moment it struck midnight, she turned off the entire system and hurried out of the room.
"What the fuck is going on?" Jacob yelled.
He ran to the room and quickly turned on the system again. It took a few moments to reboot but it never got up and running before he started hearing screams and gunshots.
"Motherfuckers!" He growled.
He pulled his own gun and ran out to join the chaos. He threw himself down behind a table that had been knocked over and looked at Tama's fallen body next to the table.
"Roman!" Jacob yelled. "This has your stench all over it!"
"I'm right here along with Jimmy and Jey!" Roman yelled back.
"And everyone else," Jimmy chuckled.
"We're here for Cayenne!" Seth yelled.
"You can't fucking have her!" Jacob yelled back.
"And the teenagers!" Seth added.
Jacob's thoughts were running wild. Solo had been spot on. Cayenne had been the one to rat out Pete Dunne.
"Cayenne!" Jacob screamed.
"I'm gonna fucking kill that bitch!" Solo screamed.
"Solo?" Jacob asked.
In a moment of stupidity, Jacob stuck his head up from the table to see if he could spot Solo. Roman fired his gun and made a perfect hole in Jacob's head.
"No!" Solo screamed. "I'm gonna fucking kill you, Roman!"
"I'd like to see you try," Roman taunted.
Roman looked around. He could hear Solo's voice but he couldn't see him. Solo was hiding and he was the only one left standing.
"What? No threat of killing me back? You're fucking weak, Roman! That's why I did what I did. I left you all and I took your girl," Solo said.
"What kind of man needs to drug and rape a woman?" Roman asked. "You're the weak one, Solo."
Roman saw movement across the room. Cayenne came sneaking through the chaos with the knife in her hand. He winked at her and looked towards Solo's hiding place again.
"And I'm not gonna threaten to kill you because I'm not the one who's gonna kill you," Roman said.
"Are you gonna leave Seth to do your dirty work?" Solo asked.
"Only one person deserves to kill your sorry ass," Roman said.
Cayenne jumped on Solo and stabbed the knife down in his back several times. Solo cried in pain and the men rushed in to grab Solo's gun and make sure he didn't hurt Cayenne. It didn't take long before Solo barely moved. Cayenne grabbed Solo's hair and pulled his head back.
"Looks like you're the one who got fucked by me this time around," Cayenne said.
Cayenne slit Solo's throat and moved away from him. She rushed into Roman's arms and felt Seth gently pat her back.
"Where are they?" Seth asked.
"This way," Cayenne said.
Cayenne led them down in the basement and pushed the bolt lock aside. The door opened and seven teenagers looked out at them with fear in their eyes.
"Don't worry. These men are here to help you. You're getting out of here," Cayenne looked at Seth. "You better have a plan."
"We already got it covered. The anonymous caller told the cops they would rescue them and bring them to the police station," Seth said.
"Everyone, follow him," Cayenne said.
They left the house and the teenagers were guided into Seth's van. He would drive them as close to the police station as he could and tell them to go there for help. Meanwhile everyone else got into other cars and drove back to their house. This time Cayenne got to see where they were going and she smiled more and more the further out in the countryside they came.
"I always wanted a place with no neighbors around," Cayenne.
"You got enough in all of us," Jey teased.
Roman leaned in and placed a kiss at Cayenne's temple.
"You missed it last time but we got chicken in the backyard," he said.
"I love chicken," she said.
"I know. That's also why we haven't named them. We wanted that honor to be yours," he said.
She looked at him with happiness in her eyes and moved in for a kiss.
"I made my choice years ago. I chose you, Roman. I'll always choose you," she said.
He placed his hand on her cheek and smiled at her.
"It was never a choice. It was meant to be," he said.
"Destiny?" She grinned.
"For sure," he grinned back. "I love you, Cayenne. I never wanna be apart from you again."
