"That was no good people. She took you all out in an instant," Jeremie said to the others who had just returned from Lyoko after seeing the blue-haired girl, Olivie, for the first time. "What went wrong?" he asked, clearly disappointed at what he saw as very poor performance from them.

"That's pretty harsh man! She was totally unfair!" Odd yelled trying to defend himself. Remembering the blue electric walls that hit him out of nowhere made him quite angry. Though he was also secretly disappointed at himself for being too careless.

"I have to agree with Odd on that," Yumi said. "I went to talk with her, and she struck me with no warning at all," she continued. Aelita and Ulrich were also nodding their agreement.

"Well at least she doesn't seem that smart. That, or XANA made some mistake here. Ulrich easily distracted her and Aelita could sneak to the tower," Jeremie said trying to make up for his somewhat angry tone a while ago. Ulrich noticed everyone else seemed to agree with Jeremie's comment about Olivie not being smart, but he thought about what she had said to him. "Besides, this is still just practice." That, together with the fact that she was obviously not giving it her all at the start of their fight, gave Ulrich the impression that she was smarter than the others gave her credit.

"I don't think we tricked her," he spoke out, instantly getting confused glances from the others.

"What do you mean?" Yumi asked.

"While we were fighting and Aelita got to the tower I pointed out that they had already lost. She didn't react to that comment like I thought she would. She ignored the tower and said protecting it wasn't her objective. That this was just practice," Ulrich explained what had occurred. "And after that she beat me in just a few seconds. She could've easily done that earlier and gotten to Aelita as well."

"Practice? If this was mere practice, I don't even want to imagine the next attack," Aelita said. Jeremie seemed like he was deep in thought.

"I want to confirm something. Did you see the mark anywhere? Or anything else that would indicate she was possessed by XANA?" Jeremie asked. The others thought for a while, but eventually everyone was shaking their heads and saying they saw no XANA marks on her, not in her clothes or eyes or anywhere.

"So could it really be that she's obeying XANA out of her free will?" Yumi asked.

"Can't be, right? Why would anyone answer to something so evil?" Aelita answered her.

"I can't figure out how XANA could have gotten a human to Lyoko without us noticing it, but I'll look into it, nonetheless. More likely is that she is just a new type of monster created by XANA but more advanced," Jeremy speculated. "Next time you run into her in Lyoko, you should try asking her what she is. Considering what she said to Ulrich, she might give you an answer."

"And how exactly do you suppose we do that? We were taken out by her before we could say anything," Odd said.

"Speak for yourself Odd. Ulrich actually spoke with her," Jeremie countered Odd's point. "I know I'm being rough with you guys, but I know you can defeat her. You just need to learn how to fight her, just like with any monster XANA throws at you." Amidst the conversation Aelita took her phone out of her pocket and looked at the time.

"Shouldn't we get back to school and leave this for later? We already missed one class," she said.

"Oh, that's right. I think Jim wouldn't be that glad if we were late," Odd said.

"That, or he's thrilled that he gets to spend less time dealing with us," Ulrich said, trying to lighten up the mood. It worked as he noticed the others smiling a little bit.

"You go. I'm going to stay here. Did you at any point hear the girl's name?" Jeremie asked.

"Olivie," Ulrich answered, after all he was the only one who heard the name on Lyoko.

"What do you have in mind, Jeremie?" Yumi asked.

"I'm going to do a little research," he said while already turning his attention back to the Supercomputer. "As I said, I doubt XANA could've trapped a human on Lyoko, but we can't rule out that possibility quite yet. If she is a real person and Olivie is her real name, I should be able to find something. And with long blue hair she should be easy to spot even if I only have her first name."

"Ok, good luck. Just don't overwork yourself," Aelita said worriedly. She knew how invested Jeremie could get in this stuff, so far as to ignore his own well-being.

"What do we tell Jim?" Ulrich asked.

"Say that I have a headache or something," Jeremie answered nonchalantly, keeping his eyes fixed on the computer screen.

On the way back the others continued to talk about Olivie.

"I don't like her. She was completely emotionless and unfair. She's like an annoying headache that just won't go away. Next time I see her, laser arrows will fly and they will not miss their target, which is the middle of her forehead!" Odd went on a rampage, mimicking shooting the arrows.

"Odd, chill out for just a bit," Yumi attempted to calm him down. "You've met her once and you're already comparing her to a headache? Although I can't fully disagree. We're going to have a serious problem if we don't find a way to beat her."

Aelita was looking at the ground, not listening too much to Odd and Yumi's conversation. She felt a resemblance. She herself had been trapped in Lyoko at first not knowing who she is or why she is there. She kept asking herself if Olivie was the same. Not knowing who she truly is. If XANA had somehow possessed her even though she didn't have the mark. Maybe she really can't help it.

"…ita? Aelita?" Yumi raised her voice and startled Aelita out of her thoughts. Aelita met her gaze which showed the slightest hint of worry.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention," Aelita said and scratched the back of her neck. "What is it?"

"It's okay, I was just asking what you were thinking since you seemed to be so deep in your thoughts," Yumi answered. Aelita smiled slightly. She was suddenly struck with gratitude and felt lucky that it was this gang of people who had discovered the Supercomputer, Lyoko, and her. They took her into their group and helped her with everything she needed. Maybe Olivie needs the help of this group too? she thought.

"I just thought… maybe Olivie is the same as me," she said simply, letting the others piece the rest together in their heads. They walked in silence for a moment as everyone let the thought sink in. But of course, no one other than Aelita could fully comprehend the thought since they hadn't experienced the same. They tried their best to understand though, making tiny nods while thinking.

"What about you Ulrich? What do you think about her?" Odd broke the silence. Ulrich sighed deeply.

"First off, I don't think she's possessed. She was too… honest, maybe," Ulrich explained. "I'm not sure what to think."

"What if XANA's just trying to trick us? It's not impossible, right?" Odd wondered. "Make us think she's somewhat friendly and not possessed to confuse us. Wouldn't be the first time XANA uses weird tactics."

"That might be possible..." Aelita mumbled. Yumi was looking at Ulrich. She had a feeling he wasn't telling them everything.

"You're still thinking about something. What is it?" she asked.

"If XANA is, like you said, trying to trick us, I don't think Olivie is fully aware of it. Yes, she was against us in Lyoko, but I didn't sense any ill will from her at any point. Maybe she doesn't even know that XANA is the bad guy here," Ulrich answered. "But I can't explain it properly. Just a gut feeling, I guess."

"Well, I guess you know what you're saying since you're the one who spoke with her and all," Yumi said.

After that they changed the subject and talked about anything and everything other than Olivie and Lyoko. In the end, they were just in time for gym class.

"So, did you find anything?" Aelita asked Jeremie during dinner after gym class.

"Nothing. There was no info about anyone named Olivie who has blue hair," Jeremie said sighing. Yumi remembered their conversation while walking from the factory to the school and decided to ask him too.

"What do you think about her? We were talking about this before," she asked.

"I didn't see her, and I know nothing about her besides the small things you told me at the factory," Jeremie answered. "But one thing is for sure. XANA potentially has a really strong weapon against us now." The others nodded in agreement.

That night no Lyoko warrior seemed to sleep well. Everyone was uncertain of things to come. They had so many questions without answers. Who or what was Olivie? How would they deal with her? What was XANA plotting with all this?

Odd saw her as a foe and was thinking about how to beat her next time. He was planning out several different strategies on how to avoid her electric walls and shoot laser arrows from a safe distance and from an angle that made them impossible to dodge. But while he was thinking about his battle plans, what Aelita and Ulrich said was slowly starting to creep into his mind. Are you with XANA or do you even know? were Odd's last thoughts before finally falling asleep.

Jeremie did a quick search about Olivie one more time before going to bed. He was thinking about XANA's possible plans with her. He thought about everything that came in mind but again no theory seemed to be the right one. Everything seemed too illogical or unlike XANA. And it bothered him. Today, XANA had them cornered. Olivie could've easily beaten them all and stopped Aelita from getting to the tower, leaving XANA free to do whatever it wanted with the active tower. Why would XANA waste this opportunity for the sake of practice?

Yumi couldn't make up her mind. She was torn on whether she thought of Olivie as good or evil. She clearly obeyed XANA. But considering what Ulrich said about Olivie being honest, the situation couldn't be fully black and white. It seemed to her like there were many hidden truths that hadn't revealed themselves yet. She was worried as to how those truths would become known to them. Things could, in the worst-case scenario, get even more dangerous than they already were. So, she decided to view Olivie as an enemy. Yumi refused to let XANA fool her.

Aelita's thoughts were filled with sympathy. Maybe Olivie truly didn't know that XANA was the bad guy of the story. What if XANA kept her blind to everything. What if she was listening to XANA just because it had filled her head with lies. What if she didn't know what the truth was. Could it be that you need our help with understanding? she asked silently in her mind.

Ulrich was restlessly twisting and turning in bed. He was tired but just couldn't get himself to fall asleep. Was Olivie acting out of her free will or had XANA possessed her. He hadn't seen the mark in her eyes, so it seemed impossible. But if she was not under XANA's control, why was she fighting them? The whole ordeal seemed to make zero sense. Regardless of her reasons, Olivie raised her weapon against them. For that reason Ulrich would keep his guard up.

Odd woke up feeling more tired than in a very long time. He tried to go back to sleep but Kiwi noticed he was awake. The dog jumped onto his bed and started licking his face. Odd tried to ignore it so he resorted to barking, which in turn woke Ulrich up as well. For their good fortune it was the weekend so there was no school today.

"Could you please make your idiot dog stop barking?" Ulrich complained face half-buried in his pillow. "If there's one morning I want to sleep in, it's this one."

"Trust me. If I could do that, I would," Odd said yawning loudly. As Kiwi showed no signs of stopping, he reluctantly got out of bed and gave Kiwi his breakfast. After that he flopped back into bed and closed his eyes. But since he had already gotten up, he was in the annoying situation of being too awake to fall asleep again but too tired to get up.

"Seems like I'm not the only one who slept terribly," Ulrich said while sluggishly sitting up on the edge of his bed.

"I barely got any sleep," Odd said. "And I'm guessing you know why."

"Yeah, I think I have a pretty good guess."

Slowly they forced themselves to get up, and after struggling for a while they got dressed and decided to head for Jeremie's room.

"Hey Einstein, you there?" Odd asked and knocked on Jeremie's door.

"Yeah, come in."

They entered his room and found Jeremie on his computer, which surprised neither of them. The word he had written into the browser's search bar told them everything they needed to know, and already kind of knew: "Olivie"

"So you're still searching for info about her?" Ulrich asked, even though he knew the answer.

"I just had to check one last time. She kept me awake almost the whole night," Jeremie replied.

"You too?" asked Odd. "We couldn't sleep well either," he continued.

Jeremie nodded. "And I have a feeling Aelita and Yumi are no different," he said.

After a few more minutes Jeremie gave up on finding something, so they walked towards Aelita's room. She was still fast asleep but woke up when the others knocked on the door.

"What is it?" She answered the door while rubbing her eyes, her vision a little hazy. Jeremie quickly interpreted her tiredness.

"Olivie?" Jeremie simply asked. Aelita nodded.

After giving Aelita some time to get herself ready, they walked to the cafeteria for breakfast. Once they got there, Jeremie got an idea he wanted to give a try.

"Now that the Supercomputer recognizes Olivie, I wonder if I could somehow locate her. As in, find out where XANA's keeping her. That could potentially give us some insight on what she is," he explained.

"That could work," Ulrich said.

"It's at least worth a try," Aelita said and gave Jeremie a slight smile. "I can come with you."

"Well, good luck to you," Odd said.

"Do you think we'll find something?" Aelita asked while Jeremie took his seat in front of the Supercomputer.

"To be perfectly honest, I kind of doubt it," Jeremie admitted. "But I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Jeremie began typing out the commands and in no time at all the screen was filled with different windows and codes. He searched each Sector individually. Ice: nothing. Desert: nothing. Forest: nothing. Mountain: nothing. Sector 5: nothing at all.

"There's something wrong here," Jeremie said, his voice giving out he was terribly worried. "It doesn't let me investigate Sector 5. In fact, it won't even let me see it."

"There is still much we don't know about Sector 5. Maybe it has something to do with that?" Aelita suggested.

"No. This is something different. It's as if the Sector doesn't even exist," Jeremie said. "It's either a virus of some kind or someone has accessed the computer. The latter is, of course, highly unlikely, but I'm checking the cameras just in case."

What they then saw left them both speechless.

"Isn't that…?" Aelita stuttered.

"We need to call the others."

"So what's all the fuzz about?" Odd was the first to ask. "Could it be that you found something about our blue-haired grim reaper?"

"Our what?" Jeremie asked, but then instantly shook his head. "Oh, never mind. Come and see for yourself." He took a step to the side, letting the others look at the computer screen.

They stared at the screen in shock.

"But... how is that possible?" Yumi asked.

Her question was followed immediately by Odd's, "What is going on here?"

There, on the screen, recorded on camera, was Olivie standing in front of the Supercomputer. Her hand was raised towards the screen, electricity flowing from her hand to the computer. The recording wasn't clear enough for them to see what exactly was happening on the screen, but they guessed she was up to no good.

"How can XANA materialize her? Did it activate a tower?" Ulrich asked, throwing guesses to try to make any sense of the situation. "XANA has never activated a tower this soon after the last attack, right?"

"I checked it, and there were traces of an active tower," Jeremie answered. "But it was active for only 6 minutes. Seems like the super scanner didn't have enough time to pick it up. And you're right about XANA not activating a tower this soon before. It seems that we have clearly underestimated what it's capable of. Monsters are one thing, but a fully functional human… It's getting stronger."

"Aw man! Does this mean that we could see a new XANA attack every day, now?" Odd asked, equally frustrated and worried.

"I doubt it," Jeremie said. "XANA might have enough energy to activate a tower a couple days in a row, but after that I'd assume it must take more time to recharge. So, knowing XANA, it won't do that very often."

"Okay, that's good to hear," Yumi said. "But to the point, what did she do?"

Jeremie sighed loudly and turned his eyes to the computer screen. "She planted some kind of bug. It seems like it's nothing dangerous, but it's stopping me from accessing Sector 5 in any way, shape, or form."

"Is that bad?" Ulrich asked.

"Honestly, I was fearing something a lot worse. But you can never know with XANA. I can't see Sector 5, so I have no idea what happening in there."

"Should we go and find out?" Yumi asked.

"No." Jeremie shook his head. "Or not yet anyway. It could be too dangerous. I'll try to solve the problem. But if I can't find a solution, I guess I have no choice but to send you guys there."

"What do we do now?" Odd asked.

Silence took over the room. For a little while, everyone was avoiding each other's gazes, until Ulrich broke the silence.

"We wait."

"We wait…" Odd repeated after him, with much less energy. But he knew it was their reality. They had no other choice but to wait and see what would happen. Jeremie would try to fix the bug, but for the rest of them there was really nothing they could do. They were left waiting for XANA's next move.

Meanwhile in Lyoko, the blue-haired girl was walking around Sector 5.

Did you like Earth? a voice whispered in Olivie's mind.

"I liked it a lot. The colours, the sounds, the scents… They were so vibrant. It was so different. In fact, I would like to go there again, if that is alright with you," she answered.

And what about the Supercomputer?

"It was quite impressive and fun to use. Do you think they will be able to fix the disconnection you asked me to make?"

Undoubtedly yes. But I have enough time.

"You have enough time for what?"

You will go to Earth again soon, but this time you'll stay there for a while.
