Apocalyptic Survival with Robot Maid
The scene shows of a nice-looking build board sign that says "Welcome to… Wakefield" indicating that it's talking about the city which would normally be outside of the town, but everything zooms out showing the build board leans against a small building with very strange roots around.
"Quickly, Jack! This way!" A young woman's voice said.
"I'm being quick as I can!" The boy named Jack shouted.
Then two people jump down from the small building revealing that they are on top of a bigger building being a store, one of them a human boy and the other appears to be a robot dress up as a maid.
"Jack, are you okay?" The robot maid asked.
"Yeah, totally fine, Emmy. Just regretting calling that guy ugly." Jack answered as he grabs his bat.
Jack is a 13-year-old boy with fair skin, straight black hair, dark blue eyes, and a lean physique. He wears a red and white baseball shirt with elbow-length sleeves, a fingerless glove on the right hand, dark blue trousers, and white and red light-up sneakers, which he covers up with duct-tape.
Emmy is a high-end robotic nanny who stands around 160 cm tall, features ball-jointed limbs and segmented fingers and thumbs, pink circles for the cheeks, and has wavy, short, tacao-colored hair. She wears a blue and white maid uniform.
They look up to see the thing that has been chasing the two to be a big purple monster beast with four eyes glaring down at the two with a growl.
"Uh, how you doing, big guy?" Jack asked.
The monster jumps down to attack them only for its prey to move out of the way and one of its arms stuck through the roof, but it still roars at them.
"You are being very rude. All we wanted was to go to the store for Jack to get one thing, is that too much to ask?" Emmy scolded the monster, only getting a roar in response.
"Looks like he doesn't care. Fine then." Jack readied himself to fight the monster.
"Are you sure we can fight this monster, Jack?" Emmy asked.
"No worries, I know what to do." Jack smirked at the monster.
"Dude, you mom's here!" Jack pointed at one direction causing the monster to look in that direction.
"Its mother? I would like to have a few words with her." Emmy fell for that as well; Jack quickly pushes her away as they run again.
But just when they were about to jump over to the next building, the monster grabs both in one clawed hand and brings them up to its face.
"I think we got off on the wrong foot. I'm Jack, this is Emmy…" Jack introduced themselves to the monster.
"How do you do?" Emmy greeted.
"And you are…?" Jack paused if the monster could talk, even though he already knows it couldn't as the monster only roars loudly again.
"Um… Blarg? Nice to meet you." Jack said.
"Now Mister Blarg, you should know better than to eat other people who are just trying to live their lives. How would you like it if something tries to eat you, that wouldn't be pleasant now would it?" Emmy scolded the monster again.
"Yeah, eating people is not cool and you should totally go vegetarian." Jack suggested.
But the monster didn't seem to care nor listen to what they have to say as it roars again, showing its teeth meaning that Blarg wants to eat them now.
"Okay, fine. But you ask for it." Jack swung his bat striking at one of the sharp teeth, but the head part broke off from the impact.
"Alright Emmy, now is time to use that new equipment we put into your fingers." Jack advised her.
"Normally, it's against protocol for a Nandroid to result to violence." Emmy hesitated a little bit, but her expression changes to a little serious.
"But that's only to humans. And you are not one!" Emmy glared at the monster, and she puts on a spikey braze knuckle wired to a taser.
Emmy thrusted her hand forming into a fist to punch the monster right in the with the bottom right eye of the monster that she was able to reach because of how close Blarg made it, this causes Blarg to scream in pain that it got a scar over its eye and that eye got damage.
The pain forces the monster to let both of them go though Emmy held onto Jack and lands right on top of a stack of toilet paper.
"We're alive. I can't believe we're still alive!" Jack cheered.
"I'm happy for our survival of the fall. Now let us find what we came here for." Emmy reminded him of the task at hand.
"Right." Jack nodded.
The two companions of survival started looking around to find a tiny screwdriver he needs for something until Emmy found one tiny screwdriver.
"Jack, I found it!" Emmy informed.
"Finally!" Jack smiled in victory.
They heard Blarg roaring in anger meaning it was time for them to go.
"Fortunate for us with how everything as it is, we do not need to pay even though it's still shoplifting." Emmy pointed out.
"Yeah, and we get to do cool stuff like this!" Jack tried to slide over the hood of a car but only made through a little and force himself to the other side.
"It would seem this car hasn't been waxed for you to slide over." Emmy looked closely, seeing how the hood looks to her.
Jack grabs her arm to pull her into running away just in time because Blarg came down from the building to chase after them for a while, but the two were able to hide behind a bus stop shelter while the monster is sniffing the ground.
"OK, show me your good side, if you have one." Jack held his camera to get a picture of Blarg.
"Blarg: 40-feet tall, stinks like three-day-old flu barf, razor-sharp claws." Jack analyzed the monster.
"Don't forget the spikes on his body. He must use them for defense on his blind spot." Emmy added.
"Right, dangerous spikes." Jack nodded and took the picture, but then he saw Blarg sniffing his backpack.
"Is he smelling my backpack? Never seen that before." Jack raised an eyebrow.
"I think he's trying to pick up your scent like a bloodhound." Emmy theorized, then a car was thrown close to them.
"Oops, overstayed our welcome. Let's move!" Jack ran with Emmy right behind him.
The two ran through the streets into a neighborhood area until they arrive at one house, going through the wooden gate to the backyard where a little girl is playing hacky sack but stop when she sees Jack and Emmy.
"You're back!" The girl ran up to them for a hug on Jack and then to Emmy.
"Was there ever a doubt?" Jack asked with a confidence grin. And showed the tiny screwdriver.
"Cool, did you fight any monsters?" The little girl asked excitedly.
"We certainly did, Madeline! It was big and nasty. Behold!" Jack showed the picture of Blarg.]
"Whoa, that looks meaner than the last one we saw." Madeline was impressed.
Madeline is an 8-year-old girl with brown long brown hair tied into a ponytail by a red bow. She wears a yellow, short-sleeved shirt with puffy sleeves and a brief V-cut neckline, blue pants, and a pair of red bucket-top boots with low heels.
"Now that you have the screwdriver, you can fix the walkie-talkie to contact your friend." Emmy said.
"That's right, but first… It's time to make my video blog." Jack declared.
"Are you really going to make one now? There's not really a lot of people in town to even see it." Madeline gestured being the only people and robot around them.
"Sure, but you never know who could be out there and find my blog. Someone got to know about how awesome I am." Jack bragged before he starts the video camera.
"Monster apocalypse, day 42. This is my home." Jack showed the treehouse then turns the camera to his face.
"It used to be my foster brother's treehouse, but the whole foster fam took off on day one." Jack explained with an uneasy expression as he rolled his eyes.
"So, now it's home to three with me. Jack Sullivan, postapocalyptic, action hero, tough guy survivor. Never scared, and…" Jack was cut off when the sound of a monster roar can be heard.
"Maybe you should do the video blog inside the treehouse." Madeline suggested. Looking a little scared.
"Good idea." Jack agreed. Not that he's scared or anything.
Now Jack shows the inside of the treehouse with Emmy being in the shot while doing some laundry.
"Yes, in case to those who are wondering, that is indeed a real robot and not just any robot, but a robot maid created by the awesome Sterling Robotics company. She doesn't exactly have any cool superpowers like laser eyes or rocket punch, but she's still awesome in my book." Jack introduced Emmy in the blog.
"Oh, why thank you, Jack." Emmy smiled.
"Hey Jack, introduce me!" Madeline begged.
"And here we have another tough, but smaller, survivor named Madeline Delaire. Bravest little squirt you'll ever meet, I took her under my wing to become a heroic adventurer and becoming a big brother role model for her." Jack showed Medeline.
"Oh, like how you needed help with getting a spider out of your shirt yesterday?" Madeline asked teasing.
"Hey, you were scared too!" Jack reminded her.
"At least I tried to do something while you were busy screaming." Madeline countered.
"Alright, you two. How about we tell the people about how… bad the world has become since last month." Emmy suggested.
Now the screen shows Madeline placing a globe of the earth on the table, sitting next to Jack with Emmy on the other side of the globe.
"So, current status—the world is cuckoo bananas." Jack commented as he spins the globe.
"Yeah, zombies roaming the streets looking for more lively victims to eat and giant monsters roaming more dangerous to destroy anything in sight!" Madeline held little figures that look like zombies while Jack used a stuff bunny as the giant monsters.
"When me and Emmy came to this town for a demonstration of her and the other Nandroids, short for Nanny droids, things suddenly went crazy with all those monsters taking over the world!" Madeline tossed the zombie dolls away.
"You probably know what zombies are, but just in case…" The screen statics a bit then shows a zombie. "Spooky eyes, freaky moans, and if they bite you, you're one of them. Undead."
"Best thing to do is to wear protections all over your body to prevent the infection from turning you into a zombie. And distract them with loud noises to get them away from you." Emmy advised.
"But if monsters get you, you're just dead. Finito. Done-zo." Jack mentioned.
"Even Emmy couldn't take on one of them." Madeline said.
"That's because we Nandroids are only built to be slightly stronger than the average humans, but not stronger than any other strong humans to make goof terms with the humans we serve. But we are waterproof." Emmy explained about herself and the other maid robots.
"Which makes you the anchor of the team." Jack joked.
"But Jack, I do not have an anchor, nor did I ever get one. I don't know if we'll ever need one since they are too heavy to carry around and they're only use to hold down boats." Emmy pointed out, not understanding the anchor thing was a joke.
"Yeah, these robo-maids don't have funny bolts in their systems." Jack deadpanned.
"But they're still fun to have around like a best friend for life!" Madeline smiled.
"So, why am I making this video blog thing? I thought it would be cool to have a record of all the awesome things I've done." Jack said before walking into the trunk of the treehouse.
The scene shows three posters of Jack doing things in different outfits and doing different things.
"Jack Sullivan, zombie hunter! Monster Slayer! A kid with the time to play all the video games he wants." Jack proclaimed those things.
"Only to lose to me at one game." Madeline bragged a little.
Now the screen changes to show Jack and Madelina playing a video game together with Emmy behind the beanbag to observe them, Jack is struggling very much while Madeline is calm and confident as she pressed one button winning the game.
"Yay! Madeline wins Crash Bandicoot Rumble again!" Emmy cheered.
"How are you so good at this game?!" Jack asked in utter shock.
"I became hooked on Crash the Bandicoot just two months ago and already finished the remake versions. Still on the fourth game." Madeline explained.
Next, Jack is standing on the balcony of the treehouse.
"See, I'm, like, genetically superhero-type equipped for solitude. Well, before Madeline and Emmy. I'm an orphan, which means I don't have parents." Jack revealed that sad part of his life.
The scene shows of the different people he had to live with because of the foster care system, but none of them could ever make him feel like he really belonged with any of those people and never found the family that could give him comfort.
"I've lived in a lot of places with a lot of different people… but I never had a family." Jack explained.
"And a little message to the Robinson family. I hope you all end up in the bad place when you die!" Madeline yelled, face-close to the camera in anger.
"Madeline Delaire! We do not say such things to other people we don't know." Emmy gasped.
"But those people are mean abandoned Jack. They deserve some punishment!" Madeline believed.
"Kid became like the little sister I never had." Jack smiled at the camera.
"So, now my life is basically the plot of a video game. I even have my own feats of apocalyptic success. For example…" Jack pulled out a cardboard with a picture of a shield thing you see in games for the feats.
The scene shows Jack snatching a hat from a zombie from a tree branch with four other hats in that same tree.
"Yoink! Mad Hatter. Steal the hats from five zombies." The branch broke off causing Jack to fall.
Madeline runs up to the hairy leg of a big monster to up to the cabs of the beast and ride the leg like there's no tomorrow.
"Monster rider, Hitch a ride on a beast. Madeline stole that feat from me, but it was pretty cool seeing her ride that beast." Jack commented.
"I am the Queen of Beasts!" Madeline yelled.
"Madeline, be careful not to fall of or if that beast is clean!" Emmy worried.
"Hygiene Hero! Maintain basic cleanliness after the end of the world." Jack flossed his teeth in front of a mirror.
Now we see Emmy cleaning up the house, making sure there aren't any dusts around though she has had a hard time removing the roots.
"House Secure of Comfort. Emmy goes down to the house to do some cleaning, because that's kinda what she was made to do, and to get everything ready when we do find her other robot maid friends along with Madeline's friends." Jack explained that part.
"The roots kept coming back whenever I pull them out. So, I decided to leave them be as the new decor of the house." Emmy explained.
"Now, pay attention." Jack came up with a book in his hand.
"There is one ultimate feat of postapocalyptic success—rescue the damsel in distress." Jack revealed the book to be a yearbook with one girl to be the girl Jack wants to rescue. "June Del Toro, my crush." He smiled.
"Ugh, are you talking about that June girl again?" Madeline asked, a little grossed out from the romance talk.
"Hey, I'll have you know that June is THE Awesome girl of all times. She's dainty and sweet." Jack smiled.
Scene changes to June playing field hockey, and she's being the opposite of dainty and sweet as Jack describes.
"Let's go, you weenies! Out of my way! Move or be moved!" June powered through the opposing team.
June has light brown skin, wavy dark brown hair tied in a ponytail, freckles, and medium brown eyes.
"My arm!" The referee exclaimed in pain when June bumped into him so hard that she accidentally dislocated his arm.
"Sorry!" June apologized before making the winning goal.
"She was the editor of our school paper, so I joined the paper as a photographer. I figured she'd see how charming I was, and it worked perfectly." Jack proclaimed.
Jack showed some photos he took to June, and she responded what any editor would do.
"You call this photojournalism, Sullivan? I need hard news! This issue isn't gonna write itself, people!" June yelled.
"One time, she hugged Benny McCutchin, so I ran over and hugged him, and I got a secondhand hug! Weird, but totally worth it." Jack mentioned.
"Do you really think she's out there, alive and not… zombies?" Madeline and smacked one zombie in the head with a hockey stick.
"With all my heart. And she'll see how cool I am and totally worthy of being crushed upon." Jack smirked.
"Oh brother." Madeline rolled her eyes.
"I think it's wonderful that Jack wants to find the girl he loves and prove his love to her." Emmy believed.
"That's right. I will complete the ultimate feat of apocalyptic success! Feat not yet completed." Jack sighed at the last part.
"And I'll be there to take the picture upon request when you complete the feat." Emmy smiled, holding the camera in her hands.
