I don't know how regular my releases will be on this story, but I will try to make them as frequent as possible.

When Rosemary handed Allie the letter, sensing the urgency of the situation, Allie took the liberty of reading it. It was a good thing she had.

The next few minutes were a blur. She raced to her room, haphazardly tossing clothes into her suitcase before rushing to her dad's room to do the same.

Just as she finished packing, the sound of galloping hooves echoed outside. Grabbing their bags and the letter, she sprinted down the stairs.

"Dad!" she called as she ran up to Nathan, who had already dashed into Elizabeth's house.

"Where is she?"

"You just missed her," Allie panted. "Mrs. Coulter said to give you this."

She watched anxiously as Nathan read the letter. His eyes met hers, and before he could say a word, she shoved his suitcase into his hands.

"Let's go."

Nathan didn't waste a second. He ran straight to the Coulters' front door.

"Lee, can you dri—"

"Say no more, my friend. Get in the car."

Without hesitation, they all piled in, and Lee sped down the street, pushing his car as fast as it would go.

When they finally caught up to the taxi, Lee honked relentlessly until it came to a stop. Nathan bolted toward the car, Allie right on his heels.

"Nathan!" Elizabeth gasped as he slid into the seat beside her.

"Family sticks together, right?" Allie said as she climbed into the passenger seat.

"Oh, Allie…" Tears welled in Elizabeth's eyes.

"Wait, how can—"

"We'll figure it out," Nathan assured her. "Together." Then, turning to the driver, he said, "Take us to the station."

He turned back to Elizabeth, his voice steady. "Where you go, I go."

As the cab pulled away, Elizabeth turned to Nathan, overwhelmed with emotion. Without thinking, she pulled him in for a kiss—one filled with relief, gratitude, and love for the man willing to sacrifice everything for her.
