It was a beautiful and sunny day at Peach Creek. Clothes were string outside to warm up. The sprinkler is watering the lawns, dandelion friends flew over the lawn, even the summer day has come.
At this moment, Eddy was the one who was enjoying the nice day. He sniffed the air, the warm breeze, wafting over his three hairs. "I love the smell of freshly opened piggy banks in the morning."
There was a lot that he needed to do, get some money by scamming the kids, and get jawbreakers. He had learned it a lot from his older brother before he had to leave eight years ago. First of all, he should gather his friends in order to get ideas for the scam. He went over to Ed's house, where Ed was just standing there with a dumb smile on his face.
"Hey, Ed! Let's get moving," he said. "We got some scamming to do."
"How exciting!"
They hurry over and meet up with Edd, or Double D to be corrected. "Hey Double D. What's up?" Eddy asked him.
"That's quite an appropriate question," the intelligent sockhead smiled. "Summer has just begun and the smell of the aroma of cut grass is quite refreshing."
"What shall we do today?"
"Why don't we make a tire swing?" Eggy suggested. "The kids will be able to pay for money."
"But Eddy, none of the kids were not interested because it was just a tire." Edd reminded him, remembering that none of the kids were not interested in their tire ride last summer.
"There has to be something we could scam those losers," the boy grumbled.
"What about another one of those monster movies?" Ed suggested.
Eddy just ignored Ed and began to think hard. He had tried every scam for the last year since he had learned a lot from his brother. Scamming is what he learned. That is what his older brother taught him. Suddenly, he perked up, getting a great idea. "Wait.. I got it! We can make a machine that will sell into a big Hollywood walk of fame! That way we would be able to have stuff that all the kids would like."
Edd was a little concerned. A Hollywood walk of fame does sound nice but he had an awful feeling. "Are you sure, Eddy? I am not sure this is a good idea," he said.
"It will be, Sockhead. It will never go wrong. Besides, It will never be a failure this time and it will not hurt everyone," said Eddy. He told the sockhead to gather something that will be in the next day and so Edd did. In his mind, he starts to have the bad feeling that it will not go as planned. After all, Eddy told him to make a machine that will gather the kids. But he will have to trust him for now.
The next day had passed and Eddy and Ed had woken up early in the morning so they could see Edd's creation. Edd had arrived in time, completely exhausted.
"Well, I made the scam, gentlemen," he said.
Looking over, the two boys can see that Edd had built a strange machine made out of an ice cream truck. Not only that there are so many appliances, traps, balloons, paint, clothing and so many other things for some reason.
"How did you build this thing?" Eddy asked.
"It's simple. I found an old ice cream truck in the junkyard and I gathered enough water for the cement. There is a lot of stuff that is full inside so I think this will be enough."
"It's like a giant elephant!" Ed cheered.
"Well, let's get it," Eddy declared. It was really going to plan, his mind tells him. All that they have to do is get the kids money and they will be in luck. He told Ed to push the truck which he did and played a record player and allured the sound over the street.
Nearby, Nazz is in her pool and Johnny is drawing a hopscotch. She turned her head over to see him and his board drawing while he held a vanilla ice cream cone.
"Whatcha doing?" she asked curiously.
"Oh, me and Plank are playing tic tac toe, " he said. "You can come if you want."
"I would love to," she smiled, taking off her sunglasses and climbing out of the pool. They thought they heard a loud screech, catching their attention. The Eds had pulled the ice cream truck toward them and the kids stared at it confused. What were the Eds up too.
The back doors opened and out popped Ed. "Hi, Nazz! Hi Johnny.
"Boys, what are you guys doing?" Nazz asked, confused.
"We are doing a Hollywood walk of fame," Eddy explained. "You are gonna like it."
"You mean, you're making a Hollywood set here. I am totally in," Nazz smiled.
"Ed, you sure?" Johnny asked, confused.
"Eddy says so." Without warning, Ed pulled Johnny away, making him drop his ice cream cone and shoes. And Naz was placed into the truck as well, making her drop her sunglasses. Nearby, Kevin and Rolf looked over and saw what they were up to.
"What are the Ed boys up to?" Rolf asked, who has stopped taking his hard.
"I have no idea. Those dorks are up to something," said Kevin. He rolled up and then banded his fist on the truck. "Hey, what are you dorks up to?"
"We're making a Hollywood walk of fame," said Eddy. "You're going to like it, double chin,"
Smiling with glee, Ed pulled Rolf and Kevin in and at once, the ice cream truck sped away. "Can we go somewhere safe?" he asked. "Sarah has invited Jimmy and she said that I would bother her." What Ed said was true. Sarah is with Jimmy who are both making a pretend pirate film in his backyard.
"Of course we will," said Eddy. Finding a safe lane, Ed clumsily hauled the heavy stuff and crashed through the hard where his brothers had left, wedding a canoe from beside a neighbor's house. It was an accident so they didn't bother.
"Alright" let's get to it," Eddy declared. "We have a dangerous obstacle course, a magic trick and a wild animal that we captured."
"I had to admit," said Kevin who had given a bike like his kind. "That is kind of suspicious. "
"I am totally gonna try the magic act." said Nazz, ginning. She took herself into a magic box and pulled it over her body.
"You are gonna like this," Eddy grinned, pushing Rolf into the box where the animal resides.
"Rolf will never face anything like a wild animal as I am. Rolf will release my vengeance."
"Don't worry," said Eddy. "We kept a bear trap outside the door in case it escaped."
"I am not sure, Plank says that I should not take any injuries," said Johnny, interested that the physical challenges are not in his nature.
"I am sure you will," said Eddy,
It was totally working for everyone. The kids were about to begin the show. Meanwhile, Edd is wearing oven mitts to protect himself and turn the machine, loading the cement.
"I had to make sure my hands don't burn because of the heat, right Ed?" he asked.
Ed nodded, loading up huge bags of cement and eating a toast as a snack. "Totally. It will be a fun show."
However, something went very wrong. The kids waited for anything to happen but nothing did.
Eddy started to get very impatient from the slow paving. "Can we hurry up? The kids are getting impatient.
"It takes time, Eddy," said Edd. "The machine is getting to a slow set and too much fast pressure would destroy it."
"Well, I had enough," he said. "Even though this show is starting, I should press the red button."
"Eddy, wait!" Edd pleaded, realizing what was gonna happen. "The machine is about to overload. We don't know the consequences we could make!"
"Too late now!"
Eddy pressed the button, causing the machine to go into overdrive. The toaster short circuited and due to the machine and water taking too much, the engine exploded. Seeing what might happen Ed grabbed the others as the explosion went off, causing them to fly and get knocked unconscious into a dumpster in time. Cans of black paint flew all over Nazz. Her hair caught on fire, making her scream and so did her fashion outfit she was wearing. A bear trap from the animal area went right on Johnny's head, making him yelp. Rolf was sent flying into a fence, causing a bump on his head and worst of all, the animal lunged at him. Kevin had his clothes and hat torn to pieces and wood went flying along his tracks. The blast exploded through the lane, causing so much destruction, knocking all the kids out one by one.
The boys felt their consciousness awaken from their unconscious state. They seemed okay, except covered with bruises. Ed had lost a shoe while Double Dee had bruises on his cheek and Eddy, he is still okay though. They climbed themselves out of the dumpster, completely woozy.
"What happened?" he asked. "Did I do something wrong?"
Carefully inching his way out, Eddy looked around and to their horror, the Eds saw what they had never expected to be this bad. The black paint that had splattered Naz is all over the fence Cement has been ripped, the banner has fallen, even the toaster was destroyed. A tree has fallen over, breaking a water pipe, the ice cream truck was turned over, and most of the objects were scattered all over the ground.
But the worst case was the kids, all lying on the ground unconscious, beaten up.
"Oh…"
"Oh no… We actually killed them! What are we gonna do, Eddy?!" Ed cried in panic, clutching his head.
"We just destroy private property!" Edd cried. "What will our parents think of us? Are they all dead?"
Eddy looked at Kevin who slowly started to wake up. "They're still alive," he said. This was not what he had expected. The scam had gone wrong and now, look at what happened. With another failure, this time, went worse than ever, Ed asked. "What should we do now?"
It had occurred to Eddy. They need to get away from the kids by moving away so they won't beat them up. He told them to gather anything they needed and they left the scene. When Kevin regained consciousness, he looked at the destructive lane and the Eds were not here. A sneer fell into his face, realizing that this was the last straw for the Eds. They had done it this time because after all this time, they had been scamming the kids and now they had caused destruction in the lane. He and his friends are gonna teach the Eds a lesson for being such losers. Since they had got away, the Eds' troubles were just beginning….
