Chapter 10

"Mamo-chan!" Usagi cried as she saw her boyfriend, a tall man with short black hair and blue eyes who was wearing jeans, a black shirt and a jacket over his shoulders. He was pulling a suitcase on wheels behind him and he smiled as he saw Usagi as she ran up to him. He let go of his suitcase and held his arms out as she jumped at him and hugged him tightly. The two spun in place a couple of times as he bled the momentum of her hug out.

"Usako, how have things been?" He asked as he put her down and then blinked as he saw Asagi. "Oh, pardon me, my name is Chiba Mamoru... oh, we're in America, it's Mamoru Chiba."

"It's fine," Asagi waved her hand, "I'm from Japan, Mamoru-san." She bowed to him. "I am Igawa Asagi." She raised her head and smiled at him. "Usagi-san wasn't lying, you really are a handsome man."

Mamoru laughed and Usagi gave Asagi a playfully annoyed look and stuck her tongue out. "Thanks for coming, Mamo-chan." Usagi smiled up at him and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"It's fine, my college is out for the summer and I would rather spend it with you than working a boring job." He paused at the pouty look Usagi gave him. "Usako?"

"I hope you don't have that attitude after we get married." She huffed and turned away from him.

Mamoru chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. "Well... Even if I had a boring office job after we got married, I'd get to come home and see you every day, so that would make up for the boring job." He smiled as he saw Usagi's cheeks turning pink and leaned in. "Besides, being gone from you all day would only make me fall for you every time I walked in the door."

'Damn, he's good.' Asagi shook her head as Usagi squealed, spun around and hugged him again, declaring her love for him. "Well, we should..."

There was a crashing sound and all three turned to see what looked like a bunch of clowns walking around. Near the foot of one of them was serving tray that had cookies everywhere. "Oh, just an accident." Asagi said, though neither she, Usagi nor Mamoru relaxed as they watched.

"Who wants HUUUUGS?!" One of the clowns said in a goofy voice as it spread its arms around and attempted to hug the nearest person to it, a fat, bald man, who looked weirded out and stepped away from the clown.

"HUUUUG!" Another one yelled and hugged a middle aged woman who couldn't dodge out of the way. "Hug huggy hug!"

"Is this... A bad thing?" Usagi asked while grinning nervously. "I'm not sure how I feel about it."

Mamoru was about to answer when suddenly one of the clowns pulled out giant butcher knives and swung them around in a weird way while its eyes glowed red. "...I think I've seen enough."

"Yeah." Asagi said and looked at them. "How fast can you transform?"

"Fast enough." Usagi said and Mamoru nodded while Asagi jumped into the air. Both Mamoru and Usagi ran behind a partition wall and gave the other one a nod before grabbing their transformation items and transforming.

As she jumped into the air, Asagi grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it off, revealing her ninja outfit under it. Mentally she gave thanks to her teachers for making sure that she could pull her pants off at the same time as her shirt without needing to waste time. "YAH!" Asagi yelled as she sliced off the arms of the one with knives, only to reveal metal and circuitry underneath. "Oh, robots, huh?" She looked back at where Eternal Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen were running towards her. "They're robots, Sailor Moon!"

"Got you!" She nodded and jumped into the air.

The robot clowns kept yelling about hugs and went towards random people. Asagi threw some kunai at them before slicing the clown she was next to in half and then rushing forward.

A glowing discus cut through three more of them before returning to where it came from. "Hold it!" Sailor Moon called out when she was on top of a balcony as she caught the attention of the robots, which allowed the regular people to get out of harm's way. "An airport is for people to travel and to meet long-lost loved ones, not for killer robot clowns to attack people."

Some people wondered why Sailor Moon stopped to give speeches to her foes, but it was simple. It caused the bad guys to stop attacking and focus on them and it also allowed potential victims to get away and clear the area out.

"HUG!" The many robots yelled at the same time and some of them threw their knives at Sailor Moon, who quickly jumped out of way.

"If you wanted to hug someone, you should have left the knives at home." A male voice said as Tuxedo Kamen swooped in from above with several roses slamming into a few of the clown's eyes, which caused them to spark and stagger around. Pulling his cane out, he drove the end of it into one of the robots, knocking it down before extending it to take out another robot. "Knives like those are dangerous and in some parts of the world, it's illegal to have them."

On the other side of the robots, Asagi ran and avoided attacks while slicing off arms of the robots, which was really impressive for how busty and curvy she was. 'Too bad Yukikaze isn't here, her lightning bullets would make short work of this.' She thought to herself as she cut off the head of another robot that was trying to sneak up on her without even looking behind her.

Sailor Moon's wings flapped and she launched herself at a few of the robots, kicking the head off of one of them. "Such a waste." She muttered, wondering why anyone would create such things. Pulling out her Eternal Tiare, a white rod with a red orb on the top that had a golden circle around the center and two curved arches, giving it the look of a small crown, she spun it around a few times while charging up her attack. Thankfully Asagi and Tuxedo Kamen kept the robots busy and got them close together. "Starlight Honeymoon..." She began as power built up in her rod. "THERAPY KISS!"

A blinding light washed over the airport and the robots let out one last "HUG!" before they started to break apart and fall into pieces onto the ground.

"Phew..." Sailor Moon smiled as she floated down to the ground. "I'm glad that was taken care of, but how did this happen?" She looked around and saw a young woman with brown hair, glasses and a lab coat looking at them nervously and apologetically. "Miss? What's wrong?"

"This is my fault." The woman said to them and Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Kamen and Asagi all blinked in confusion. "You see, I'm a university student working in robotics." They nodded as they listened. "And I wanted to make a hugging robot that can go into hospitals and give patients, nurses and doctors hugs if they need them."

"That's nice, but how did this happen?" Asagi asked and the woman blushed and looked away. "Miss?"

"I messed up on the code. Where it's supposed to be "friendly and give warm hugs", the code came out... "Be extra creepy and stab people" and I don't know HOW I screwed that up!"

Sailor Moon was about to say something when she heard the sounds of police sirens. "We should take this elsewhere, otherwise things will get too hard to hear." The others nodded as Asagi grabbed the woman and the three quickly fled the area.

On a roof a few blocks away...

"Okay, we should be okay here for a little bit." Tuxedo Kamen said as he looked around and then at the woman. "So, miss..."

"Sarah, sorry." She smiled nervously. "So, like I was saying, I was just trying to make hugging robots and eventually I'd make robot cats and dogs for nursing homes so elderly people can have something to pet and play with that won't make a mess."

"That's a good goal." Asagi smiled at her. "So, how did..."

"I don't know." Sarah hung her head. "I just screwed up somewhere and I don't know where and I have NO clue how to fix it."

"Well..." Sailor Moon smiled at her. "I happen to know someone who's a super genius with this kind of stuff."

Sarah just blinked.

A few days later...

Sarah looked up as a knocking was heard at the computer lab. "Hello?" She saw a young Japanese woman with short blue hair and blue eyes wearing jeans and a light t-shirt at the door. "Can I help you?"

"Ah," the woman gave a quick bow and Sarah vaguely remembered that was how the Japanese people greeted each other, "my name is M, sorry, Ami Mizuno." She blushed softly. "I almost said my family name first." She said and Sarah nodded. "I was told that you needed some help with computer coding."

"Are you the one that Sailor Moon said could help?" Sarah asked as Ami walked over to her.

"Ah, yes, she contacted me about this stuff." Ami smiled at her. "Can you show me?"

"I mean..." Sarah led Ami over to her computer and showed her the code. "I don't know how much about coding you know, but this took me weeks to write. There's no way..."

"There's an F in line 95 that should be a C." Ami pointed out as she scanned over the lines of coding. "Also, in line 88 it looks like you forgot a sequence."

"Huh?" Sarah blinked and looked at the lines that Ami was pointing out and stared in surprise. "Holy cow, you're right! I would have never seen that if you didn't point it out."

Ami smiled at her. "Do you mind if I look over everything? I may not have your experience, but I can at least find errors."

"That would be helpful." Sarah said as Ami ran through the code and found errors that she hadn't even thought were there. "Wow, were you an engineering major or something?"

"No, I wanted to be a doctor in high school." Ami pointed out. "I took a job here in the states out of high school because of how well it was paying." She smiled softly as she felt Sarah's confusion. "A troubleshooting gig, if you will."

"Well, if it has anything to do with programming, you'd be an ace at it." Sarah said with astonishment. She could hardly believe what she was seeing. After a few minutes as Ami continuing to work on the code, a thought came to her. "Really, I would think that you were working in robotics."

"Well, that certainly would be neat." Ami nodded, "but I've always wanted to help people, being a doctor would be helpful in that regard."

"Yeah, but..." Sarah began as she turned around and leaned against the table. "I can't help but want to think about the future. How we could use science to make power suits to increase our physical abilities."

"Lots of people would use them for wars." Ami said, sadness in her voice. "Though, I do know of a company in Japan that..."

"Mishima Heavy Industries." Sarah interrupted and Ami looked at her as she looked up at the ceiling. "The latest in power armors, body suits, robotics and electronics to sell to the market. I want to work there. I want to build robots to help people. Robots that can go into dangerous places humans can't go into. Robots that can help take care of the elderly. Robots that can perform complex surgeries to save lives."

Ami blinked several times as she looked at Sarah appreciatively. "You know," she smiled at Sarah, "since I'm not going to college for a bit, I wouldn't mind learning more and helping you out."

Sarah's eyes lit up and she walked over to a nearby chair and brought it over. "Well, you learn fast, so this shouldn't be hard to do for you."

Ami nodded and the two went to work correcting the errors in the programming.

For Sarah, it was so she could live out a life-long dream of making amazing robots. For Ami, the thought of having robots and power armors in the hands of mundane protectors was motivation enough. After all, the Senshi couldn't be everywhere at once. Even though the list of allies had increased tremendously recently, the fact was that there was just too many people and it was impossible to save them all from danger.

The more people who could help in major situations, the better.
