Here it was. The title the world had been hoping for to see plastered all over the news in bold letters.
𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘋 𝘓𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘺, 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦.
Everyone celebrated it like it was something they themselves achieved. A worldwide sensation that was felt upon everyone that he impacted with his ambitious soul. All his supporters, his friends, his family, everyone was in joy.
"Law!" Nami screamed out. She burst into the surgeon's office and threw the newspaper in his face, pointing at the bold words she's read a minute ago. Her eyes were of happiness and tears.
"He made it! He made it!"
The Heart surgeon could only smirk. He knew that boy would reach it, he was Joy Boy after all. "It appears he did." She pulled the newspaper back and reread the title again. She was ecstatic, proud even. "I... He did it..." Her voice is left shaken up from the adrenaline.
The other members of the Heart Pirates were heard outside celebrating the whole ordeal as well, hugging and crying with each other. It was over. The hunt and adventure was over.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭.
Both Nami and Law joined in on the others. They too were happy that everything has now come to an end, and the Pirate King was found.
They were currently docked at an island, taking rest from an earlier battle that took place. Most were out getting the supplies they needed or getting fresh air. Some still cheered on like the others on the island. It was a party.
Law took a seat on the deck of his submarine, watching his crew before his eyes landed on Nami. She was still looking at the newspaper, or the picture to be specific. He could tell she was very proud of her former crew mate and felt nostalgic be looking back at his picture again. He couldn't blame her.
Upon feeling his eyes on her, Nami looked up and looked ahead at her now Captain, with the same smile on her face. He couldn't help but smile as well. "The world is at peace..." He hummed, nodding his head. "But it doesn't stop us from looking for more." Nami chuckled at that. They were pirates after all, and their adventures never end, even though the treasure is found.
"You think we'll see him?" She was hopeful to see her old crew again. Albeit seperate, she was still celebrating along with them. They are her family after all. "Hm?" "I mean... Do you think we'll be able to catch up with them? I'd like to see Luffy." He nodded his head, a quiet him escaping his lips as he gazed up at the sky. It was a perfect day. Clear skies, heavy wind and no fights. Perfect day indeed. "Perhaps he's here." Her interest piqued when she heard that. Was he feeding into her hope? She huffed and poked him on the shoulder. "Don't just say that." He chuckled once more and continued to gaze up at the sky.
"Congrats, princess!" Shachi walked over and hugged the ginger maiden. Penguin followed after and gave her a pat on the back. "Congrats? I didn't make it, you know." They both chuckled at her answer. "It's a congrats to your old pal. King of the Pirates, was he?" "Hell yeah. Let's hope it lasts for a while. I had faith in that boy."
Nami backed away from the conversation between both crew members and walked up to the railing. She was still starstruck. She gazed the shoreline, imagining what the others felt. What they achieved was a big deal.
Upon gazing, she spotted something from afar. It was small at first but it appeared to get bigger, as if it was approaching them. She continued to watch out of curiosity. What was that at all? Before she knew it, a recognizable lion was seen. She's seen it before. The lion, the sails, the crow's nest. No doubt that it was what she was thinking.
"Luffy!"
The other Heart pirates looked over at Nami, a bit bewildered at her noise before lookl)lpping ahead to where she was looking. And there it was, the Thousand Sunny sailing right towards them.
Nami jumped, waving her arms in the air as if signaling to them that she was on the ship. "Luffy! Robin! Usopp!" She continued to call out to everyone on the ship.
Sure enough, a rubber boy was seen jumping towards the Sunny's mane. "Nami!" She was jumping in joy once she saw everyone. Once the Sunny was close enough, she jumped from the submarine onto ship, losing her balance slightly. Thankfully, Robin was nearby and caught the navigator just quickly enough and hugged her tightly.
"Congratulations!"
The other members ran over and joined the hug, everyone pressed together in one big embrace. It was sentimental and the moment felt like it was a dream.
"Nami, it's good to see you again." Usopp pulled away and tapped her on the shoulder. She shrugged her shoulder, looking at everyone with tears in her eyes. "I'm... I missed you guys..." She wiped her tears with her palms as she does so. "I missed you too, Nami." The small reindeer ran up to the ginger maiden and hugged her leg. Nami reached down and patted the reindeer, fluffing his fur.
"Nami."
Said girl looked up to see Luffy, he was swinging down and landed in front of her. There was a glint of longing and determination in his eyes. "Luffy..." He approached her and gave her the biggest and tightest hug he could muster. It was clear that he appreciated her being back on the ship, albeit for a little while. "Congrats, Luffy. You made it." She pinched his cheek as he let go. He had the biggest smile on his face, it was bright and genuine. She missed it about him. She missed 𝘩𝘪𝘮.
"I'm glad to be back together with you guys." Nami looked around at the others who were circling around.
"You look fantastic, darling. More beautiful than the last I saw you."
Nami merely just rolled her eyes in response. Typical cook.
"Straw Hat."
Everyone looked back to see Law approaching. He was calm and collected as usual, his smirk still plastered on his face. "Congrats on reaching the One Piece." He sticks his hand out to Luffy, offering a handshake. The rubber boy took his hand firmly and hugged him. A groan of reluctance left the surgeon's lips but he didn't pull away. In fact, he just patted his back.
"Glad to see you reach your goal. I suppose this is the only time we'll be able to see each other after years to come." That was sadly true. They may be on the same ocean, but they could still never see each other pass by. "Yosh! We're still allies. I might need your help sooner than expected." The crew chuckled.
"Well... I'll see you guys off then. We don't want to keep you any longer." Both Nami and Law stepped back on the submarine, watching along with the others as the Sunny sailed away. They waved each other goodbye, hoping to see each other again maybe one way or another. Hopefully.
