AN: Welcome back, lads! This fic is back in action again!
…After over three months of wait.
Yeah, I have no real excuse given this chapter has been close to done for a while, only that I just lacked the motivation for it and had my fanfic interest elsewhere, for the most part. That and just general laziness and other IRL stuff I've been grappling with.
I'm in a good spot for this fic to continue now, though, and I'll say this: I still intend to update more frequently than I did last year, at least as far as this fic is concerned. The first three months of this year may have been missed, but April and the proceeding ones won't. Each month I'll be striving my hardest for multiple chapters to be released in.
And yes, I haven't forgotten about my track record and how things don't pan out for me most of the time. Feel free to take my word with a pinch of salt if you wish because of that, I don't blame any of you, but my goal here(and pretty much the New Year's Resolution I guess) is to push myself and really get the ball rolling again on this story.
Take that as your good news from me. I'm looking to have two more updates(potentially three if I can exceed expectations) past this one for this month, so be on the lookout for them lads.
For anyone interested as well, I have a new fic about Beerus called The Egyptian God of Destruction if any are interested in reading it. The title says it all, lol.
Oh, and one more thing before we get to the chapter. I haven't said on here, but I'm happy to tell y'all who may not know that I commissioned some fanart of the Gods and Goddesses from the same talented artist(thank you so much Animayson) who did my current cover art for this fic.
His Twitter/X account will be below. As will a link to this chapter on AO3 where the pics should be uploaded for all to see if you're reading this on Fanfiction. If you're on AO3, just scroll down to the end and you should see them there. More should hopefully be commissioned in the future, so look forward to those as well!
The Olympian God of Destruction:
Chapter 45: Seed of Destruction V.
Atop Mount Olympus…
What… is that…!?
Such shell-shocked thought was had by the youngest of the Olympians as his eyes gazed upon the horrid creature responsible for the vile presence that he, Metis, and certainly all of Olympus had felt before arrival.
The beast was unlike anything he'd ever seen. Its visage such that not even the Hekatonkheires looked anywhere near as repulsive, and nor were they anywhere near as massive.
To match up well with its appearance, its power was quickly demonstrated against the Titans as it rose from the depths of Earth. And it was beyond terrifying to watch.
In but a minute moment the beast clashed with Atlas first. The Titan having already buffed himself numerous times to the point his raw power rivalled – if not exceeded – the peak he'd reached against him and his brothers.
Zeus bore witness to the Titan lose his arm as a result in that world-quaking exchange. And then watched with growing trepidation and speechlessness as the monster sent out a mighty breath of destructive fire. One that threatened to consume all three Titans at once, but had only done so with Krios, who chose to save his fellows from such a fate.
And indeed, save was the optimal word there. For the fate that befell Titan of Constellations as he was devoured by the horrendous flames was one that sent a great shiver down the spine of the Sky God. And one that caused an even greater wave of shock and fear to envelop the other Gods around him, Metis included, who in a rare moment of weakness found herself stumbling back and falling to the ground ass-first in disbelieving terror.
The Titan's near-total erasure from existence, with only but a meagre sliver of his essence remaining in the Universe. Barely enough to consider him still having a presence.
The domain of Destruction had been invoked for it. He'd felt it just as much as he was sure everyone else did. Recognized it instantly.
How could they not, when such power was used mere days ago to conclude the war with Kronos's more complete eradication at his eldest brother's hands?
The usage was less refined, but unmistakeably alike to Beerus's. And that alone was great cause for worry and apprehension, as they'd all previously assumed only Beerus was capable of such under his own power. No weapon needed.
Such a shocking moment coupled with the monster's horrible visage and ghastly aura proved too much for many in the courtyard. Panic struck them all to an extent not even Pan could manage, and those who did not lose consciousness from such an extreme were compelled to scream and turn to flee.
Their fear made them forget themselves as they scrambled and flew away in droves, not even daring to glance back. For none wanted to chance another look at such an entity, lest his attention be brought unto them.
Zeus heard and felt it all through his connection to the wind and sky as he focused, just as much as he felt most of his and his siblings' allies within the palace hiding away in their own forms of terror. Their own utterances of panic reaching his ears and senses no differently and no less profoundly. Be they conscious still or unconscious like those left behind on the courtyard's floor.
The Sky God didn't blame them for their reactions. Not when he too felt a great fear, and in the presence of this beast in its full, ghastly glory, he found himself paralyzed for the moment.
As crazy as the situation was devolving into however, it only got even more mind boggling with what happened next when the she-serpent made herself known while wrapped around the larger monster.
Her brief words to his eldest brother left Zeus shocked beyond measure and wondering if he hadn't somehow misheard her, but such a question was put to rest when the larger monster turned his attention to Beerus. And when that beast spoke, he was certain that everyone on and fleeing from Olympus could hear the words spoken with how deafening they were.
Words that left Zeus and anyone else with the same context as himself utterly speechless, as the monster's mouths spat fire, his wings generated hurricane-like winds, and his aura darkened menacingly.
"FAAAATHER! FIIIIIIIIIGHT MEEEEEEE!"
Far out from Olympus…
Typhon, wild and overexcited as he was, didn't even bother to wait for his own father to respond to his exclamation. No sooner did the words leave his humanoid maw, did his enormous fist rear back. The power of destruction channelling crudely through it, before the bestial giant sent it hurtling toward the destroyer at superluminal speeds.
The devastating power behind it was such that space itself crumpled around it, reality struggling to bear the weight of the giant's might as he made to strike him.
Gritting his teeth with a mix of negative emotions, Beerus chose to meet it head on. His own exponentially smaller fist smashing against Typhon's as his aura flared high. A grunt of effort escaping him as he pulled in a good portion of his own destructive strength.
THWOOOOSH!
A ferocious shockwave billowed forth across the world and its fabric, making the air scream, the ground tremor, the sea quake, and spacetime itself warp.
"Yes~! That's it, Lord Beerus! Give your beloved son what he wants~!" Ekhidna moaned loudly with bliss as she felt the aftereffect of their first clash, which resulted in both being pushed away from each other. "Mmm~! Destroyer against Destroyer! A battle that could utterly ruin the world~!"
"Nngh!" Beerus grunted in displeasure, choosing to do his best to ignore the she-serpent and her disturbing sexual tastes as she started hugging herself and bled an uncomfortable amount of arousal at the beginning of this conflict.
Instead, he focused in on the immediate threat that was his own son. One that only existed because of the wacky logic of this world and its divine beings.
And one he'd thought he'd dealt with for the moment, back when Gaea had brought him down into that underground cave to meet him. At least until the Earth Mother requested him to come down again and help with reining him in. A process he'd have liked to think would go on until the giant could rise to and freely roam the surface without causing major problems, like Gaea knew and worried about him doing.
Alas, that obviously wasn't the case. Whatever degree of subdued Typhon had seemed after the first encounter, even including the offense he took at Ekhidna's attraction and advances toward him, it clearly hadn't lasted.
Or perhaps he and Gaea had misread that seemingly calmed state of his at the time, and it wasn't what either of them, especially her, had thought it was. He couldn't discount that possibility either, as being so uncontrolled appeared to be the giant's default state.
Regardless of which was true, the fact of the matter was that the wild energy he radiated was worse now than it'd been before! And when paired with the fact that he'd managed to do the one thing Gaea had been hoping to prevent, which was breaching his way up to the surface before he was ready in her eyes, and all to physically confront him from the sounds of it?
The situation could be called nothing short of a disaster.
As if to make things more troubling as well, his son's power had significantly increased from the last time he'd seen him, correlating with his increased size. Both of which, even now, were still growing.
And quite steadily at that!
"RAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The multi-headed giant roared with zeal as he charged forward again, ignoring all else around them and solely focusing on Beerus as he charged in for another punch. This time with his other arm which became coated with a slightly denser amount of destructive power than the previous.
And once again, Beerus met it head on with his own punch. A stalemate seemingly occurring once again that resulted in the elements of the endless Universe rippling and howling in dismay.
Mid-clash however, Typhon's power spiked higher than the destroyer anticipated, as if reacting to the battle of wills occurring and rising to the occasion to outdo the smaller deity.
And outdo it did, pushing beyond the level Beerus was currently using.
Caught off-guard in that ever-so-brief instant, Beerus could only widen his eyes as the monstrous giant overpowered him. His fist pressed down on his, and with a mighty push from Typhon, his arm shot all the way. Reality trembling and colours distorting as the force of the giant's blow sent Beerus rocketing back with an emphatic BOOM felt throughout the cosmos.
"Ghhnhhgh!" The God of Destruction grit his teeth and let out an unpleasant sound from his throat as he felt himself blast down like a shooting star. The speed of his blurred form incomprehensible as it smashed into and carved a deep trench through both Earth and Sea.
His body's uncontrolled path of ruination sent up huge, crumbling landmasses the size of large continents and enormous portions of water that could make up entire seas in their own right in airborne, undulating waves.
When he finally came to a stop, more irritated than hurt, it was to the visual of broken chunks of land and kicked up waves of seawater casting a wide berth on either side of him. Both barely in the process of violently dropping down before Typhon's winged form blurred into existence above him. His gargantuan form blotting out the sky from Beerus's viewpoint.
With a wicked, battle-lusted look to him, Typhon raised his clasped hands above his head. His aura growing denser and darker.
Beerus barely had time to curse and throw up a guard as his son brought his hands down in an axe-handle strike straight out of hell.
THOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A megaquake rattled the Earth and Sea equally to the chorus of the wind brothers' agonized howls, as a gargantuan shockwave arose and blasted up a stupefying amount of debris countless miles tall. The impact of the blow felt down to the bones and spirit by everyone, no matter where they were in the Universe. Even in the Underworld.
And then all whom felt such power were made to feel it again and again as Typhon showed no mercy. His clasped hands shooting up and slamming down repeatedly with the same motion. Each crushing smash producing the same effects as the first, but more intense each time as his strength rose with his unrepentant desire for destruction and increasing lust for violence.
The screams of terror from the Sea's denizens, from those on the lands surrounding him, and from those in the sky were like music to his ears. A melody that gave him added joy on top of his happiness at facing his father.
And he wasn't the only one feeling this.
"Oh Typhon, your destructive might is truly exquisite~!" Ekhidna all but sang with bliss, her coiled body shaking from the impacts, looking like she'd just undergone an orgasm with how she panted. "Haah!... Keep it up, my love! Don't stop! Force even more out of your wonderful father, so that the world may be laid ruin to by the both of you!"
And she would be part of what was laid ruin to, as well! Such was precisely why she kept herself tightly wound to her lover during this father-son battle that'd begun, so she could take in every destructive impact they dealt to each other, even if only to a fraction of what either fighter felt.
That was fine for now though.
To her it was great foreplay for later on as with any luck, when all on the surface had been eviscerated as a consequence of Beerus and Typhon's fight, she would find herself truly caught between these two ultimate Forces of Destruction. Be that in a violent manner, a sexual manner, or most ideal of all, both, she was going to enjoy the ecstasy of being annihilated betwixt these two!
"HNNNNNNNNNNNGH! COME FATHER! SHOW ME MORE OF YOUR POWER! FIGHT! FIIIIIIIIIIGHT!" Typhon roared in an almost childish manner, encouraging his parent to battle back. His voice practically ripping through the agonized air like its own attack and making the Anemoi brothers weep in torment, as his body's expansion brought him to double the size he'd been when he first emerged on the surface world.
Beerus heard him, of course. The God of Destruction gritting his teeth and growling fiercely as his whole body withstood bash after bash of Typhon's wild and undisciplined strikes right down atop him. His raised arms blocking each clubbing blow and clashing his aura against his son's as the giant hammered him down deeper and deeper. The growing power of each strike managing to make every bone in his divine body shake beneath their weight.
He held strong though, and after taking over a dozen of them in total the God of Destruction had had enough.
"Hgggh! If you insist!" Beerus's warped voice seemed to boom through reality, as he rose up from his pinned position in the brief interval between Typhon's hammer-strikes and thrust his hand up.
A bright, dazzling glow of purple erupted forth from it, and so too did an absurd amount of raw force to meet the giant's attack.
KH-THOOOOM!
"Hrrrrghn!" The multi-headed monster staggered away as his clasped hands were blown back and above his head with a hellacious shockwave of tinged with violet. One that made the world quiver and further blew away the surroundings.
"That's the spirit, Lord Beerus~! Show your dear son your destructive might~!" Ekhidna cheered depravedly as her body trembled with delight.
Savagely grinning himself at his father's response, Typhon forced himself forward as he saw his father push up and out of where he'd pinned him down. His heavy fist thrusting forward with a devastating amount of destruction-laced power behind it. His whole form and even Ekhidna's by proxy becoming subsumed in his dense, dark-purple aura.
Beerus met his son's punch again with his own, growling all the while. Their powers clashing yet again with unbelievable vigour. The rattling quake that passed through all the turbulent elements that made up Creation as a result being the strongest yet.
As the very colours themselves spasmed around them, Beerus felt his son's power spiking further up yet again as his size grew greater still.
Unlike the first time though, he was ready for such a phenomenon and allowed his own power to spike in the same instant and rival Typhon's. The resulting meeting of equal forces resolving in both of them being ricocheted back in opposite directions, leaving behind a concussive blast that could've blown out whole stars like candles.
This time as both were knocked back Beerus didn't allow his son to be the aggressor and took full advantage of his temporal domain. The God executing the same move that Kronos had with him in focusing the destructive tides on the path he'd taken and erasing the distance between them, thus causing him to instantly zap right by Typhon's face in zero time.
Unprepared for such a move even as he sensed Beerus doing it, the monster was left wide open for Beerus to slam his fist directly into his forehead. The sheer power behind the blow enough to make everything around them in a thousand-mile radius warp as Typhon's humanoid head was snapped back.
The giant then staggered away from the strike. His massive frame lurching backwards and threatening to tip.
But he didn't go down. Not like he had the last time Beerus had struck him in such a manner.
That hardly mattered though as Beerus was upon him before he fully recovered. The God of Destruction nailing him with an uppercut to the chin so fierce, it didn't just whip Typhon's head back, but his whole body upward.
The giant attempted to swipe down even in his discombobulated state, but Beerus created a portal instead of dodging normally. His smaller form reappearing and immediately smashing his foot into Typhon's humanoid cheek, whipping both head and body to the side with a violent CRACK felt through every molecule of the air.
He then followed up by careening forward and smashing his fist into his exposed abdomen, just above Ekhidna's coiled form and right between his beastly heads. The closest of which reacting aggressively by snapping at him as Typhon doubled over and staggered back from the blow with an audible gasp.
Beerus slammed his fist into the side of its head with a sickening CRACK! The blow damn near decapitating it from Typhon's body in retaliation, firmly knocking it out and leaving it to flop limp on the giant's retreating form with a severe indentation.
"Oh, watching you up close like this is like a dream, Lord Beerus~!" The she-serpent hollered with dark sensuality. Her lips parted wide and tongue wagging with delight as she wiggled and shivered, now pawing at one of her breasts. "Mmm~! More! I! Need! More! Give me more, my beloved Father of Destruction~!"
A tick mark appeared over Beerus's temple as he snapped at her. "You keep blabbering and I'll strike you next, you hear!?"
"Ahhn~!" Ekhidna let the most thrilled mix between a hiss, squeal and moan he'd ever heard. Her face only going a deeper shade into her blush as she shuddered in pleasure, acting for all the world as if he'd just started fucking her or something. "You threaten me with such a violent time, Lord Beerus! Truly, a God after my own heart, just like his son~!"
Beerus could only cringe at the she-serpent as said son rallied back with a fury. His humanoid head and draconic ones blowing out air and destructive fire respectively, while his wings flapped violently forward. The result being a fast-formed tornado of purple flames that screeched to life and quickly eclipsed Typhon himself in size, as well as Olympus, as it immediately barrelled right into Beerus.
Its path of destruction ripped into Air, Earth and Sea, twisting and churning it all in an oppressive, cataclysmic manner toward fiery oblivion at speeds that were incomprehensible.
Caught in is flaming walls of hellish wind that rapidly spun him round its width at superluminal speed, the Destroyer felt it shred through and burn at the air and space all around. The Anemoi's cries for mercy becoming a jumbled mess as the flaming tornado sought to tear him apart and incinerate him in the same breath as it pulled away from Typhon…
And headed right toward Olympus.
"Ghgh! Oh no you don't!"
In response, Beerus stopped his body's rapid spinning with some effort, fighting off the flaming winds of destruction and threw his arms out wide.
"HAAAAAAAAAAGH" With his own bellowing cry, Beerus let loose a rendition of the kiai attack, sending forth an omnidirectional wave. One charged with his domain that smashed into the spiralling winds and fire trapping him. Its more refined power of destruction allowing it to win out over the natural disaster made manifest and eradicating it in an instant.
The remnants of the fire and wind not annihilated by said wave were sent back into Typhon along with the replicated kiai wave. The giant eating the whole thing to his body and being forcefully pushed back as he brought his arms up to block.
Ekhidna got caught to a lesser extent in the crossfire. Pain flaring over her body as the wave, wind and flames batted at her bodacious, serpentine form. A scream launching from her throat as her body seized up and her head threw itself back.
"Ohh~! It feels so gooooood~!" She cried delirious with nothing short of masochistic depravity. "That's it! Bathe me in the destruction of your battle! It's so exhilarating to feel your destructive energies upon me! Father and son, truly my destructive lovers~!"
Beerus almost barked back at the she-serpent that he wasn't her 'lover' upon being freed from that tornado, but recognized she wouldn't give a shit. Not only that, she'd likely only be more turned on at this rate if he brought his aggression back to her, so he wisely chose not to respond to her.
In that moment instead, Beerus's body zoomed back up beyond the giant's arms to Typhon's humanoid face again before he recovered. His form zipping back and forth as he landed a combination of strikes of either side of the giant's head. His form too fast for the draconic heads on his shoulders to capture him with their bites, as he snapped Typhon's head to and fro with every blow.
Every blow made the area around them shudder and ripple, distorting shape itself with Beerus's might.
Finally, he ended it off with a palm thrust dead-centre into his face. Destructive power super-charged through his mitt as it slammed home with a reality-distending shockwave. One that sent the giant careening back at speeds far greater than light.
The serpents that made up his feet dragged through land and sea in equal measure as he rushed through both, sending them totalling away in tsunami waves and broken chunks of Earth. His body tipping back again as it hurtled backward at hundreds of thousands of miles-per-picosecond. His huge form a complete blur.
It appeared as though he was going to end up firmly planted on his back by the time his skidding through the elements had ceased, what with how far he leaned back.
And yet, he did not fall.
No. The multi-headed giant kept himself on his 'feet' as he came to a halt. His upper body nearly reclined at a 90-degree angle, before he steadily pulled himself upright.
And as a trickle of ichor ebbed from his damaged maw down to his chin, he neither cowered nor appeared distraught.
Instead, he broke out into a laugh of disturbing joy. A laugh that deeply unnerved and frightened all the spirits in the world whom until now had been ignorant to his existence, for what they heard was a most terrible sound.
Ekhidna merely shuddered around him with amorous joy. The bout thus far living up to what she'd imagined from the father and son who captured her affections.
"YES! YEEEEEEES!" He barked in dark glee. His aura only growing denser and stronger as he felt such pain from his father's calamitous attacks. The aches of his gut and head quickly fading in the wake of his pleasure as he grinned over at his father's distant form and bared his beastly teeth, sharper than a razor's edge at him. "MORE! GIVE ME MOOOOOOOORE!"
A dark and malevolent light lit up his mouth then. The only warning sign of what came next.
From his position, Beerus's eyes widened slightly as he felt and saw a massive beam of crimson and violet destructive energy launch from his maw and blaze forth toward him. The beam burning through the fabric of reality itself in its wake!
"Hrrgh! Hakai!" Beerus roared as he outstretched his arm toward it. His forward-facing palm with its thumb turned inward emitting a mesmerizing glow of deep purple with a hint of gold as the beam reached him. Its ruinous path carving through the winds and making the Anemoi brothers let out a chorus of screeching cries that almost made his ears bleed.
When the beam impacted with his glowing hand a shockwave rolled forth through Creation, uprooting enormous chunks of land and yet again blasting away the sea. Any minor Gods and Goddesses within the area sent flying away like rockets without control of their own bodies' momentum, all while screaming their heads off in terror.
The mass of destructive energy fought against him, trying to override his attempt to obliterate it. But while its sheer size dwarfed his body by many, many magnitudes, its power did not, and the control given to it by its sender was nothing compared to his own.
Thus, he naturally won out. The elements howls momentarily ending as the beam of energy was warped around where it met Beerus.
And then it was swiftly broken down and reduced to endless motes of purple light from the destroyer's position, all the way back to Typhon himself. Who by this point had grown to be over two-thirds the size of Olympus.
Even across the vast distance between them, father and son locked eyes. The latter filled with unending desire for battle and destruction, while the former was filled a mix of concern and deepening agitation.
If this keeps up any longer, the result will be nothing short of catastrophe. Beerus thought with a light cringe.
The idea of trying to potentially talk the giant down did cross his mind… for like a fraction of a second before he immediately discarded it, as one look alone into Typhon's eyes was enough to make it clear his wild progeny was not going to be reasoned with in such a manner.
And besides, he'd never been much of one to talk his opponents down anyway. That wasn't his style, unless one counted the warning he would give for trifling with him, be it verbal or otherwise. And if that didn't work, it always ended with him beating the crap out of the fool who dared test him or sending them to oblivion.
A warning sure as shit wasn't going to work on the multi-headed giant. Given his current attitude, that would only encourage him to be worse so that he would fight him harder. Never mind how that crazy snake-girl wrapped around him would react as well, which would just make it even more of a bad outcome.
There was also the path of destroying his desire for destruction. But leaving aside how resistant he may be to that given he too bore the domain of Destruction, doing so would only cause something else to take its place if successful.
And there was no guarantee it would be anything good.
Matter of fact, his own instincts seemed to tell him that route wouldn't go well. That he'd only be wasting his time trying that if he even bothered to give it a go despite his usual methods. And though he knew not the reason why, like he had many times before he trusted his gut to keep him from making a mistake.
That really only left one viable option for him in this scenario. One in which he'd not been expecting to be in when he came out today and thought his only business, for the most part, would be with the Titans that would give him some form of amusement.
I'll have to render him unconscious, whether through brute force or through my domain of Destruction it doesn't matter. So long as I can take him out, I can hurl his ass back down to the cavern Gaea made and be done with him for the moment.
With that thought from the Destroyer came the added question of "What then?" in regards to the giant given the likelihood of this situation repeating in the future. Because if it did, there was a high chance Typhon would grow enough to be much more bothersome than he was already being now, and potentially become the very threat he'd foreseen in his vision.
That was something he most certainly did not want happening for various reasons.
He'd have to cross that bridge when he came to it, though.
What was important right now was neutralizing his son as fast as he could. Because if he didn't then the consequences of such were obvious.
Part of him – the more ruthless side – whispered he could just outright destroy Typhon and be done with it now, but he ignored it.
Once again call it him having gotten soft – and he'd personally agree – because not only was the giant monstrosity still his own kid, but he also didn't want to run afoul of Gaea and cause her the anguish of losing a child. One that unlike Kronos she still had faith in to be better in the future with his assistance.
…Well, that and he'd be lying right now if he didn't also see the potential for Typhon to be a worthy foe for him in the future. His power was still growing after all and at this rate was going to reach his own in no time.
If he could just instil some discipline into him and get him to be a solid fighter instead of a wild brute mostly relying on animalistic instinct then the possibilities were –
"HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
With even more zeal packed into his deafening, wind-terrorizing voice Typhon pulled Beerus from his thoughts as he shot forward with frightening speed for his size.
Several of his beast heads were in motion even before he reached him. The ones around his shoulders angling themselves toward Beerus before letting loose plumes of purple-tinged fire. The same fire that'd reduced Krios to cinders, and seemed to melt through space itself.
With superior speed Beerus shot away and avoided them. An action that only brought him into the line of sight for his son's sky-dwarfing hammer-fist careening down to splat him out of the air, as the giant got close enough. And perhaps take the air itself with him, with how the wind screeched in agony at such a simple motion from him. His hand lighting ablaze with dark-purple fire as it got dangerously close to the Destroyer.
Aura sparking stronger, Beerus dove forward and avoided the strike without too much effort and put himself within range to smack his son in the face again. Harder this time.
Typhon's humanoid mouth was already open and waiting for him though. Dark-purple fire already barrelling forth from his yawning maw to scorch him and the surroundings.
Beerus was not impressed by the rudimentary feint. His scowl etched like stone as he didn't even bother to dodge this time. His body becoming even more deeply coated in his destructive aura as he propelled himself into the blaze.
He felt the fire trying to burn its way through his aura and shred at his existence like it'd done to the Titan, but Beerus's finely controlled energy held strong like a mighty suit of armour. The weight of the flames not so much as causing a chink in it as he thrusted right through the stream of intense fire that burned at reality's fabric.
Once through, he landed a harsh hook that struck Typhon in the nose. A loud CRUNCH echoing throughout the world and punctuated with a stupendous ripple that shook the elements as the giant was yet again forced backward. Spurts of ichor flying from his nostrils as his nose was shattered instantly.
CLAP!
Beerus was met back with Typhon swiftly smacking his palms together where he was as if he were a bug in need of squashing. Only the giant pulled every ounce of strength he currently could into that one act, evidenced by the explosive wave of energy that resulted. One that made the space around them oscillate.
A familiar sensation struck the giant again, the same one when his father had just appeared before him instantly.
And right after that, he felt his father's kick drill into his forehead. Another CRUNCH deafening the surroundings through an immense shockwave as he was thrown further back. This time his humanoid head's ear-drums bursting as his skull fractured.
But even still, as the snakes that made up his legs carved through Earth and Sea one fact remained the same.
The monster did not fall.
No, he only continued to grow in size while recovering even faster than before. An even more crazed, toothy smile splitting his humanoid face disturbingly wide as he skidded back.
He'd barely come to a halt before Beerus was upon him a third time. The GOD quite literally wasting no time by abusing his domain of time thrice to do so instantaneously and give his son practically no chance to react and cause any further hassle of his own.
His form was lit up like a star, flames of gold and purple bounding over his exceedingly dense aura of destruction. His fist already primed and ready to deliver the final blow, this time using the fullest extent of his raw power. And as much as Typhon had grown, he knew that with this much packed into his fist, if it didn't outright destroy Typhon's head or decapitate it from his shoulders, it would still do enough to render him unconscious.
And with the power of Destruction backing it through his will, Typhon wouldn't be rising any time soon without his permission.
"This ends here!" He bellowed out as his fist swung hard and true, practically shredding through time and space on its course right between the giant's eyes.
In a logical reality, that would've been where this impromptu bout between them ended and Beerus could've had a reprieve after quickly finishing up his earlier business as well. With the remaining two Titans that'd fortunately chosen not to be stupid and attack him or his bastard son at any point during their exchange.
The Destroyer would be getting no reprieve though, as something shocking then occurred. Shocking enough to have Beerus's eyes shoot wide.
He felt it happen. In a crude manner compared to when he'd done it, but it happened nonetheless.
The ever-largening form of Typhon suddenly vanished from his view, only for a shadow to be cast over the Destroyer in the same instant. All as the giant's hulking, grotesque frame loomed right behind him. As though he'd teleported.
The truth was far more concerning.
"HRRRRAAAAAAAAAGH!"
Briefly stunned by this turn of events, Beerus was left wide open as Typhon roared another war-cry to devastate the ears of all and swung his megalithic fist down on his head in the next instant. Its overflowing power greater than all the giant's attacks that'd come before as it shredded through time and space just like Beerus's attack had been doing.
KRRHH-THOOOOOOOOOM!
And the God of Destruction felt every bit of it as that monstrous fist crashed down on him with calamitous strength. The explosion that followed as his fist drilled him down through Earth's splintering crust – merely an after-effect of the blow – rivalled the energy of a Big Bang going.
Beerus felt the damage it did to the quaking surroundings more than he saw it, as his body ploughed down through the Earth and soon cratered down into the floor of a subterranean cavern.
The very same one Typhon had been raised in and he'd been to a short while ago.
He'd have ploughed deeper still – probably for a billion light-years' worth in the blink of a divine eye – if not for the familiar aura of Earth igniting just before he struck. The protective field not only somewhat softening his collision as he violently shook the whole structure, but also potentially saving him some broken bones after the blow he'd withstood.
One that astonishingly rivalled his current peak of raw strength.
"Nngh!... What the… heck…!?" He groaned in as much shock as pain, which he felt shoot throughout every fibre of his body from that punch as he lay in a heap at the centre of a sizeable crater. One several miles deep and wide.
Typhon had just… copied him!
The giant oaf had somehow copied destroying the path to put himself in a far more advantageous position for a counterattack.
Sure, he was tied to Destruction like he was, and that apparently included the temporal side, but the giant had no form of training or technique! He was virtually devoid of any discipline at all too, and was running off of animalistic instinct for battle. And that was hardly something that should've helped him pull such a complex use of Destruction out of his ass at the last moment there, as rough as it'd felt!
This had gotten absurd!
…And why was it that a part of him felt proud right now?
Had that punch he'd taken knocked off some braincells? Pride should be the last thing he should ever be feeling right now given the context!
"Oh, my word! Beerus!" The voice of Gaea resounded around him worriedly, wrenching him from his thoughts and causing Beerus to turn his gaze to the side as the buxom form of her humanoid state emerged from the floor-cavity he was in.
The Primordial Goddess wasted not a moment kneeling down next to him. Her large breasts jiggling before him a far more welcome sight to his sore eyes than Typhon's grotesque ass had been, but he was scarcely in the mood or situation to let this perverse body of his enjoy the view.
Nevertheless, he allowed the Goddess's soft hands to touch his shimmering back and shoulder for some form of closeness and comfort as she helped him to his hands and knees.
He didn't need the help but he made no attempt to refuse her as she looked down upon him. Her gorgeous face holding a deeply distressed, guilty and panicked look as she held him. Earnest tears in her eyes and running down her cheeks.
"I'm so, so sorry!" She blurted out immediately, full of sincerity in her anguish. "This is terrible! I can hear all of the agonized cries of those up above, of my children and theirs! I've felt their suffering and the damage that has been done! And it's all my fault! I couldn't stop our son and now he's out and causing the very trouble I'd wished to avoid!"
"Agh… You may not have been able to stop him, but I certainly will…!" Beerus growled in aggression. The pain of his body – and of his soul – fast ebbing away to the combined might of his domain overriding the otherwise permanent damage through his force of will and his natural healing factor. "He surprised me with that last attack, but that'll be the last one I let him land one on me… He's going down sooner rather than later…!"
The sound of mighty wings flapping from on high before the air above began to screech again was Beerus's only warning before his senses went haywire.
Without even thinking then, he summoned a barrier above them packed with the power of Destruction. One so wide it could've fit over a damn country.
Gaea sharply gasped in surprise as she saw him do this, while also sensing what was fast approaching them.
That being a great and malevolent light descended down at insane speeds with the tormented roar of the air.
Beerus's divine body lit up brighter than the stars in reply with his purple and gold aura. His eyes flashing dangerously and illuminating the cavern as he propelled himself up to his feet and away from Gaea's touch to thrust his palms above his head, just below the barrier.
Just in time too, for the enormous beam of destructive energy blasting through the hole he'd made hurtled toward him and crashed down with cosmic force upon the barrier.
THWOOOOOOOOSH!
When the beam struck down on it Beerus gritted his teeth as he felt its unbelievable weight and power, well above that of the last one his son had fired at him. The whole cavern around him and the world beyond it shaking with vehemence as the beam fought against and bit down on the barrier. Its energy trying to tear through it to get to him.
It was an attack he felt he could survive a direct hit from, but it would do a lot of damage if it did.
Under such pressure he let out a grunt as he rooted himself and kept his footing with experienced practise in the deepening crater. His knees bending but never buckling as he felt the full brunt coming down on him.
Its deleterious yield increased by the moment, surpassing him in terms of raw power as the beam broadened and forced him to broaden his barrier. All as the environment around him, both seen and unseen, crumbled and was blown away by Typhon's blast.
"Beerus!" Gaea called his name over the bellow of the blast and shriek of the wind. Her tone full of worried concern as she saw his face begin to strain somewhat.
"Grrrnh…! Just keep yourself down! Or better yet, leave that form of yours behind to get yourself out of the way! I'll handle this…!" He barked out, not caring if he sounded rude at the minute or not.
"But… But I…" The Earth Mother hesitated, looking unsure and conflicted.
"No buts! This is no time for a damn discussion! If you're not going to do anything useful, then either keep quiet or get lost, because I don't have the patience to deal with any nonsense right now with our bloody fool of a son trying his damn best to paste me!" The destroyer yelled at her, showing just how pissed he was at the minute as a vein throbbed over his glowing temple.
The Goddess flinched at the tone. Her expression becoming even more conflicted as she appeared to be left without words for the moment.
Grateful for seemingly no further distractions, Beerus silently thanked his lucky stars that the brute of a son he'd unintentionally sired – and never damn well asked for! – wasn't refining anything about his abilities alongside how he grew.
Because if he did, then any method of response Beerus could think of would've been impossible.
His attack might've even broken through at this stage and put him in much direr straits when combined with the increasing might of the giant that he could sense the continued ascent of beyond him.
Ngh!... Just my luck to be dealing with this crap…! A part of me is really starting to wish I could send a message back in time to tell myself not to masturbate in the stupid cave on that day! Could've avoided all of this! He thought in grave agitation.
Yes, there was still another part of him that was impressed and saw the potential for a rival in his son, but that part was drowned out by this one right now that fed off his negative emotions.
With the serious benefit of hindsight that'd been such a stupid decision on his part over a year ago. He'd have genuinely been better off if he'd just stayed on Olympus and invited Demeter to keep him company, since he knew even back then that she had a thing for him.
Or Hestia. Maybe she may've been open to it too, if he'd bothered to ask?
Or both, a darker and more illogical part of him supplied as well given they'd both been before him when he was exceptionally aroused, following Hera's retreat. No matter how ridiculous it sounded.
There was also seeking out any of the plethora of Nymphs on Olympus, too. Or heck, that goat-Nymph who helped raise Zeus when he appeared before her and his mother by accident. She looked like she might've agreed to help get his rocks off then as well.
Literally all of these options sounded like a better route he could've at least tried taking over the bullshit he was currently dealing with for his decision. Because while any of them could've – and with his luck, likely would've – still led to siring a kid, he'd have at least gotten a pleasurable time out of it. And said kid from whomever probably wouldn't have been even half the bother Typhon was currently being.
Or perhaps they would've been, and he was just being delusional right now.
Nrgh…! I'm suddenly reminded of why for the longest time I never wanted any brats of my own... The idea of raising them and having to put up with their crap was too much hassle for someone like me to be bothered with if I could help it… And that was back when I thought it'd be kittens, not some ever-growing, abominable-looking giant with a terrible temperament and stupid power growth that requires no training whatsoever, making him a literal walking catastrophe to all around him…!
Grumbling to himself internally after his mental rant, Beerus made use of his anger to help him focus deeper on himself. On Destruction that was forever an immutable part of him. A fundamental constant of his very soul since he'd truly become one with it.
He used it both on his widening barrier to effectively resist the beam pushing down on it, and also on the beam itself. The latter resisting his pull and forcing him to push his will on it harder, not to make it go away which would've been more difficult, but to weaken it just enough for what he wanted to do.
That being to redirect it unto the head of his irksome son, so as to either take him out with it, or debilitate him enough to leave him a sitting duck for his final counter-attack that would put him down for the count.
He could do it. Even with it continuously increasing in terms of raw power, he knew he could. He just needed a moment to weaken the beam's usage of Destruction enough so that he could swap out his barrier for a portal and send the blast packing back to its firer. And with any good fortune, the massive bastard would get hit flush by it.
As he mentally went through all this, Gaea's visage took a shift as she seemed to begin pondering something herself while watching him struggle. His words to her having sparked something within as her tears vanished and eyes narrowed sharply.
Just then, draconic roars echoed from above them, and before Beerus knew it massive plumes of purple fire joined the beam of destruction blasting down on him! The flames splashing against the barrier, burning away whatever was around them to particles of light and managing to lick out over the edges of Beerus's summoned defence.
"Nrgh!... Damnit…!" He cursed through clenched teeth as he was forced lower, to bend further, to sweat more under the added weight and now unbearable heat that came with the fires leaking over the sides. Both of which were still rising as they pushed him and his barrier down and made it harder and harder to do what he wanted, as he was forced to pull away more and more focus from the beam and unto the barrier so it wouldn't crack.
This was bad though. If this kept up, even if maintained he'd end up flattened by his own barrier! And if that happened things would only snowball from there into getting worse for him.
Much as he hated to admit it, his bastard son actually had him pinned right now. His only option if he couldn't redirect these attacks was to summon a portal beneath him or manipulate space in some other fashion to get himself out of here.
Pulling such an audible came with its own risk though, as trying to do either would only weaken his barrier with less focus put on it. And his domain told him that if he did that, unrefined or not, Typhon's attacks would very likely break through and had a high chance of hitting him right before he fully got out of here.
There was even a decent chance of said attacks disrupting his ability, whichever he went with, as both relied on space. And that was something both the brute's attacks burned and shredded at with a vengeance, and that only drove up the risk factor ten-fold.
He didn't even consider enforcing either on Typhon to even just relocate him and take off this pressure. Such was out of the question when his own wild aura of destruction would resist that transportation happening to him.
I might just have to force it… He thought with a grimace, ready to cast aside his earlier idea. If I can pull enough focus into an attack at the last second instead of wasting it on my defence, my refined power of Destruction should be able to breach through his attacks to him. It's a gamble as to whether or not I could do that fast enough, but it's an option…!
And if he didn't, he could still eat some of these attacks for a little bit to send his own up through them anyway while dispersing them. The damage done to him for it would be pretty bad at this point with much stronger they were, but he was confident he could still take it as things stood now and get it done.
Then after he was free, his domain and natural healing ability would see him back to one-hundred percent in a blink.
Beerus then suddenly felt Gaea's soft hands on him again. One on his hip and the other his chest as she floated off the ground.
"Hnngh!? What do you think you're doing…?" Beerus asked of her with a glare, half-annoyed and half-befuddled as her own aura sprung to life around her buxom body.
"Helping." Her own voice came out similarly warped to his own as her expression schooled and looked completely serious. "I'm sure you don't truly need it, but I'm giving it anyway!"
Still feeling snappy, Beerus almost snarked at her for that before he saw how her eyes started to shine brightly with an earthen brown shade. Just as bright as his own and overflowing with power. Enough so that he kept his mouth shut as she continued, voice full of emotion.
"It's my fault our son got out and started causing mayhem, because my barrier wasn't strong enough to hold him here in his excitement. My inability caused this issue and has resulted in my children and theirs now being in pain, or a far worse fate, such as with… with Krios!"
Even Beerus winced ever so slightly – almost imperceptive to the naked eye – in recollection of what'd happened to the Titan mere moments before. Not because he gave a shit about him – he really didn't, but because of the hit he knew Gaea had clearly taken from feeling that happen to him. The crack in her voice as she mentioned the Titan making that clear.
Her hands' grip on him tightened then as she stared him dead in the eyes. "The least I can do is assist you in bringing Typhon back here subdued, instead of just staying quiet or leaving you by yourself in this, because that isn't fair on you!"
Her response took the Destroyer a bit by surprise, and a part of him – mainly his pride – wanted to refuse on principle and finish this himself, as rough as that could end up being.
Seeing the determined look in her eyes though, as well as just wanting to get this shit over with as fast as he could at this point, the God of Destruction ignored that prideful part of him and let it be.
"Well… Ngh!... If that's the case, in what way… do you plan to help?" Beerus asked through grounded teeth while continuing to pour most of his attention into dealing with Typhon's attack.
"Like so." She said as she leaned into him. Her massive breasts pancaking against his pecs in a manner he was about to snap about being distracting and in no way helpful, until her aura spiked and started flowing over him and his own.
The effect was instant.
Beerus gasped breathlessly as he suddenly felt all strain rapidly leaving him. His muscles and spirit relaxing while maintaining their ferocious edge as though he were in meditation, which allowed his ability to focus to become much, much sharper than it'd been before. Then it'd ever been able to before on his own.
It was like his mother and sister's auras and what they could do with them, only even more experienced, and somehow even more refined than either of them. Like Nature itself was enveloping him in a cocoon of warmth and support, stoking the fire of his power and allowing it to surge with a vengeance.
Because it was, for Mother Nature Herself was before him and on his side. Her presence radiant and soothing in a way it'd not been before as he found himself able to leave the crouch he'd essentially been forced into and stand straight alongside her, his barrier pushing up against the beam and flames. All with what felt like little effort now to his surprise, as he felt practically weightless.
"Now that your mind and spirit are as strong as can be made, if you're willing, I have thought of a plan that I would ask for your assistance toward. One that should ensure no more damage done to all those around you as consequence while you deal with our son." She told him, which got Beerus's ears to perk up curiously.
"Do you now…? Well, I'm all ears." He responded back, feeling more agreeable toward her now that she was sharing such a wonderful-feeling aura with him. One that made him feel like a billion bucks.
"All I ask is that you lend me your power, else this will not work. Not with Typhon, anyway." She requested as she raised her hand from his hip and up above her, where her divine magic began to coalesce in a dense, but graceful aura of vibrant green and brown. "Can you do that for me?"
That's it? Just give her some of his own domain's power?
Hardly an inconvenience now that her presence and magic kept him from strain and made his life easier.
"Here." He answered back without hesitation, touching one of his hands to the one she had on his shoulder. The other still raised to hold up his barrier, and did so with more ease than before. "Take it. I'll trust that you know what you're doing."
His aura slipped into her as much as hers did with him then, and the Goddess suddenly found herself imbued with his domain's essence, as a tinge of purple and gold joined the aura blooming from her outstretched hand.
"I do. And thank you." She nodded, managing a small smile at him despite the situation. "Now then, lets subdue our boy and bring him back here with that daughter of mine in tow. Hopefully, the worst of the damage done by him can be reversed too, once that is done."
And alongside that, she'd be having more than just words with Ekhidna for her behaviour in encouraging such a disaster with Typhon. For just as Beerus would bring a needed heavy hand to deal with their son, she would be bringing out a heavier one herself with her daughter soon enough.
AND CUT!
That's the end of this one. Next chapter should wrap up the skirmish with Typhon, and will also give POVs of those that have been watching this whole thing play out. Because no, I didn't forget about anyone allied to Beerus who would be willing to come and assist in whatever way they could.
Hope you guys enjoyed this somewhat, and I'll see you in the next chapter in about a week!
