Hiii guys! I know I've mainly been focusing on my other Star Wars series, but this Ezrabine Fic plotbunny has been floating around in my mind for WAY too long to ignore it any longer. So here you go, fluffy Rebels era fun.

Training Distractions

Ezra

Ezra was trying so hard to focus.
No, he really was.
Kanan had left Ezra and Sabine alone to train when Hera called him and Zeb on a mission. Hera and Chopper were inside, working on the Ghost's malfunctioning hyperdrive.
Kanan had been working with Ezra on a simple task—blocking shots with his saber from a distance.
He could do that.
Sabine could shoot at him.
But the problem was, she was enjoying shooting at him far too much.
She had good aim, too.
Shot after shot came, and Ezra kept getting hit with the shock blasts—and Sabine kept laughing.
"When are you going to start dodging instead of staring at me?" She laughed, shoving him playfully as she ran backwards and held up the gun again.
"Come on, Ezra," he muttered to himself.
But Sabine's eyes were so pretty…if only she'd wear her helmet when they were training, so he could focus a little more.
They were such a solid shade of brown, and they were so piercing when she looked at him—
BLAST!
"Ugh," Ezra grumbled, along with unintelligible things as Sabine pulled him to his feet.
"Come on, Ezra. You can do better than that, can't you?" Sabine scoffed.
"Of course. Just have to stop staring at my crush," he muttered under his breath.
"Hmm?" She asked.
"Nothing," he said, shrugging it off and trying to start again.

Sabine

He kept looking at her weird.
Ezra Bridger was always such a quirky boy, always staring at her and trying to get her attention.
But today?
He was so unfocused.
Just staring at her—not even bothering to try.
"Ezra, you okay?" She asked after he'd been shocked four more times.
Maybe she needed to go easier on him.
But…the Empire wouldn't.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," he mumbled.
Then they locked eyes, and Sabine felt her face flush as he stared at her.
He pulled himself to his feet, hesitating before speaking again. "Hey, Sabine?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you know your eyes…never mind, forget it," he said.
"Ezra Bridger, was that an unfinished compliment?" Sabine scoffed.
Ezra turned beet red. "No—I didn't mean to—uh…Yes?"
"Could you finish it, please?" Sabine asked, eyes twinkling and mind racing.

Hera

She looked out the window to see the pair staring at one another as she rubbed the sweat off her forehead.
She glanced at Chopper. "When's he going to tell her he likes her?" Hera sighed.
"Womp womp womp," Chopper said, gesturing vaguely.
"She certainly refuses to do anything but tease him," Hera continued, "but she obviously likes him more or less."
"Womp," Chopper agreed.
"Well," Hera sighed, leaning forward onto the dashboard, resting her chin on her hand, "I can't wait to see how that turns out."

Ezra

Can you finish it, please?
The words echoed in his mind, and he panicked a little.
"Uh…did you know your eyes are…really…pretty," he said quietly.
Sabine froze, tilting her head at him calculatingly.
"Did you know your hair is a mess?" She asked, a smirk crossing her lips, "and it would look better if you cut it?"

Hera

"She did NOT just say that," Zeb snorted.
They had just arrived back from the mission, and were spying on Sabine and Ezra with Hera.
"Oh, she did," Hera assured him.
"She sounds like you," Kanan grumbled to her.
"She sounds like she's trying to get rid of him," Zeb scoffed.
"And you look like a giant purple monster. But you're a lovable guy," Hera said, elbowing the Lasat playfully. "Things aren't always what they seem."
"Ezra looks horrified," Kanan commented.
"Womp," Chopper agreed, making a cackling sound like he found the whole ordeal to be hysterical.
"Sabine looks horrified with herself," Hera added.
"Womp womp womp," Chopper cackled.

Sabine

Did you know your hair is a mess?
That's how I respond to a compliment?!
Karabast.
Sabine fought a laugh at Ezra's shocked facial expression. He honestly looked hurt.
"I'm kidding," Sabine assured him, scrambling to fix her mistake, "it's perfect."
"Really?"
He blushed even harder—and Sabine hadn't known that was possible.
"Really," Sabine confirmed.
"I…thanks," Ezra said.
Sabine didn't respond, she just shot him with the shock gun rapid fire.
And this time?
He dodged and blocked every last one.

Yesss! Did you like it?! Let me know! I will update this one when I have more ideas for it, it's all One-Shots, they don't really connect in any way. I enjoyed writing this so much! Hope you loved it, bye besties, until next time! (Also, if you liked it, please check out Echoes of the Fallen and Between Shadows and Light, my Ahsoka series fics, I would so appreciate it!)
