In a small town called Adventure Bay, a group of pups were outside a large tower, chasing one another in a field playing tag. Chase was, to no one's surprise, currently winning. However, he was struggling to catch up to Marshall, who was the only other pup who could match his speed. Despite this, Chase was slowly catching up to him, and it almost seemed like he would win once again.
Suddenly though, before Chase could finally catch the dalmatian and end the game, they received a call from their pup tags before hearing the sound they've heard almost a thousand times now.
"Paw Patrol! To The Lookout!" Ryder's voice called out through the pup tags.
"Ryder needs us!" The pups all said in unison. They all then began running toward the Lookout, ready for whatever mission was waiting for them.
Upon entering the Lookout, Chase, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, and Rubble all got inside the elevator, with Marshall following not far behind. However, before he got there, Marshall tripped over his feet and plowed into the others, knocking them over like bowling pins. After a few moments of confusion, Marshall raised his head.
"And that's a strike!" the dalmatian declared. The others all laughed before the elevator began taking them towards the top of the Lookout.
After stopping halfway for a quick moment to allow the pups to grab their gear, the elevator eventually reached the top and the doors opened. Each one of the pups jumped out into formation, with Chase being the last one to do so.
"PAW Patrol is ready for action, Ryder sir!" Chase reported as usual.
"Thanks for coming quickly pups, but this isn't an emergency." Ryder assured them. "The Mer-moon celebration is happening over at Puplantis, and with that, there's bound to be plenty of partying and celebrating from all the merpups. Not only that, but Coral was nice enough to invite us, and she apparently has some great news waiting for us there." Ryder explained to them.
The pups were all quick to get excited about this, as they all loved not only partying, but also just being at Puplantis in general. All but Rocky, who hated water, but he was more than willing to put that aside in order to join his friends.
"Sounds gweat!" Zuma said.
"I can't wait to go there. I haven't seen Cory in what felt like forever!" Skye added, excited for an excuse to see her cousin again.
The pups all shared the same excitement for the trip. However, it didn't take very long for a single important question to pop up amongst them.
"Who's gonna look after The Lookout while we're gone?" Rocky asked in a slightly concerned tone.
"Why would someone need to look after The Lookout?" Rubble asked him.
"To keep everything safe?" Rocky answered. "There's a lot of stuff in here that's questionable to be in our possession. Nonetheless in the possession of someone like Humdinger..."
"He has a point. We can't risk someone breaking in while we're all gone. Someone needs to watch over The Lookout." Chase stated. The pups and Ryder then began trying to think of someone who could be trusted to do exactly that.
Their first thought was Everest. Afterall, she wasn't very far away, and she already knew the layout of the lookout. The only issue was that her and Jake were currently away visiting Jake's family, meaning that they were unavailable. Their next thought was Tracker, but he was just too far away and was needed in the jungle to help Carlos, and the animals anyway. Liberty had a similar issue, being all the way over in Adventure City, and also being the only one available to help the people that were in the city.
"Hey, what about Snowflake and Ned?" Marshall proposed. "They don't live that far away, and they have enough people there to take over for them while they're gone."
Ryder and the other pups considered it for a moment. Marshall was indeed correct about both of those factors, plus the two huskies were both trustworthy and capable enough to do it.
"Good idea Marshall! I'll go ahead and call them." said Ryder. As he turned toward the monitor to do just that, the six pups behind him entered the elevator, and descended down to get ready for the trip. After all, it was quite a long journey to get to Puplantis, and they all wanted to be prepared for it.
Ryder swiped through the many tag numbers on his Pup-pad until he found Snowflake's. He then called her, waiting as the Pup-pad rung with each second that passed. Eventually, the call was connected, and Ryder was greeted with a familiar husky.
"Hey Ryder!" Snowflake greeted him.
"Hey Snowflake, I have a request for you and Ned. Is he there with you?" Ryder asked.
"Yeah, he's right here." Snowflake replied as she tilted the puptag away from her and toward Ned, who was sitting nearby. She then turned the puptag back toward herself. "What is it that you need?"
"Coral invited us all to Puplantis for the Mer-moon celebration. However, we need someone to watch over The Lookout while we're gone. Could you and Ned do so for us?" Ryder asked after explaining why.
"I don't see why we couldn't. Sure, I'm down for it." Snowflake replied. "What about you Ned?"
"Sounds good." Ned replied as he trotted over to them.
"Great! Thanks you two." Ryder thanked them.
"No problem Ryder! We'll be over there by the hour." Snowflake told him before ending the call.
Ryder then laid the Pup-pad down in front of the monitor before standing up, and heading to the elevator, thinking about what to do as they waited for Snowflake and Ned to arrive.
Well, the first thing is likely a cup of coffee. Ryder thought to himself as the elevator began descending.
An hour later, the pups and Ryder were outside The Lookout, going through all their gear one more time before they departed for Puplantis. After all, while they'd only be there for a few hours, it still took an hour to get to the sunken Kingdom.
"Has everyone made sure that they're ready? Oxygen tanks are full? Pup packs are all powered and functional? Snacks are packed?" Chase asked the others. Lord knows Rubble already made sure of that.
"Yep, and yep." Rocky confirmed.
"We're all ready, Ryder sir!" Chase declared.
"Good job pups! Snowflake and Ned should be here any moment now, and then we can get going," Ryder responded. He then noticed something out of the corner of his eye.
Two huskies came parachuting down, landing just a couple meters away. First came Snowflake, who detached from the parachute and landed softly on the ground before performing a roll.
"Ta-da!" Snowflake exclaimed, extending one of her paws out as she did.
She was then followed by Ned, who landed slowly and carefully onto the ground. He was seemingly also about to say something, but was interrupted by the parachute falling down on top of him.
"Ta-da?" Snowflake exclaimed again after a short moment of silence. She then giggled lightly before helping Ned out of the parachute.
"Why do you two always have such dramatic entrances?" Skye wondered.
"Better question, where did you two come from? You just seemingly appear out of thin air!" Rocky asked.
"We had a friend fly us he -" Ned was silenced as Snowflake covered his mouth with one of her paws.
"Secret!" Snowflake replied. "Anyway, now that we're here. Is there anything you need our help with before you leave?"
