CHP 15: Go Tara Go (Part 1)

*Go City*

It's been a few days since Team Possible decided to recruit Tara, and she is already on the road to improving herself and becoming a valuable asset on the field. As she expresses to Kim and her boyfriend Ron, before the second Camp, she won't say the whole name incident; Tara already had taken self-defense classes for a bit, so now it's time to take the training to the next level. Currently, Tara is on a mini-date with Ron outside of Middleton due to an event that Ron receives an invite for, and thanks to Kim's hookup, the couple can attend.

"Ah, Go City. If you can make it here, you made it, which is pretty good." Ron sighs happily, taking in the City.

Holding hands with Ron, Tara glances around and agrees that Go City has a friendly sentry to look at. "It was nice of Kim to hook things up to come since I know how much this means to you."

"It means a lot more that I have someone interested in what I like. I promise Tarbear, this trip will be worth it." Ron confidently states that he doesn't want the experience to come across as lame to her.

"Anywhere with you would be worth it," Tara responds in a flirty tone that makes Ron blush.

"I think we better check to make sure we are going the right way," Ron suggests, quickly earning a giggle from his girlfriend.

"Seems like it should be on the next block." Tara points forward toward their destination.

Ron makes a double glance at the building before having a panic attack. "Wait, seriously?! I didn't think we were that close. I mean, I'm not prepared; I thought I was!"

Knowing her boyfriend has these freak-out moments, Tara hugs him from behind and gently calms him down. "Deep breaths, my Mad Dog."

Ron listens to her command and does precisely as she says, taking deep breaths until he gains composure. "Okay, you are right. I can do this."

"As Kim would say, so not the drama; just think of it as another Bueno restaurant," Tara suggests to her boyfriend.

"That's the thing Tarbear. It's not just another Bueno Nacho; this is the world's first mucho grande Bueno Nacho!" Ron points out with even more excitement in his tone.

"What's special about it?" Tara asks, genuinely wanting to know the building's history.

Ron smiles at the opportunity to explain as the two stumble upon the building. "The mucho granda is a bold experiment. It can represent the future of Bueno Nacho! It can be the second most beautiful thing in my life."

"Second? What's the first?" Tara questions curiously, even though part of her knows the answers already.

Ron turns to her and states smoothly. "You, of course." This response earns him a quick kiss from Tara before the two enter the building.

From here, Ron explains the difference between how this Bueno Nacho works and the regular one they attend, which interests Tara until a voice asks, "Is his name Stoppable?"

Tara turns and sees a tall, random bueno-nacho worker with a concerned look. "You know my boyfriend?"

"Corporate sent out a memo about special procedures I'm supposed to implement," the manager says nervously.

Tara folds her arms with disapproval of the man's words. "With all due respect, my Ronnie is harmless, for he's excited to be here, so I don't believe those procedures are needed."

With the blonde expressing that she doesn't play when it comes to her boyfriend, the worker softens up and lays off for now. "In honor of the grand opening, I will look the other way."

At that moment, the three hear evil laughter as someone enters the building with wings and a gold staff yelling, "Beware, hero, for it is I, Aviarius, and revenge will be mine!"

"Revenge? Is he one of your usuals?" Tara asks Ron quietly.

"I don't know him, and I doubt Kp would know," Ron responds, not recognizing the villain or knowing why he would want revenge on him or Kim.

"Condor, attack!" Aviarius announces, causing a condor to fly in and attack. Ron and Tara move out of the way while the Buneo-nacho worker disappears to make a quick wardrobe change and returns in a blue and black costume to fight off the condor. During the condor attack, Tara accidentally jumps on the bird, grabs it on the neck to slow it down, and crashes it onto the Sala parade display. Ron and the new hero leap into action, with Ron seeking out Tara while the hero swings the condor away and picks up the machine with super strength, but Tara yelps from on top, about to lose her balance.

"Fear the wrath of Aviarius!" The Supervillain, Aviarius, uses his rod to blast the blue hero, suddenly weakening him. As he starts to drop the machine, Tara accidentally falls forward, gets between the blast, and falls once the ray stops.

Ron catches her before she hits the ground, but the hero collapses, unable to hold on to the machine anymore. "Tara you okay!?"

"Yeah, I think so," Tara answers, now feeling strange.

"Avriarius will not be defeated so easily! Victory will be mine!" Avriarius escapes before the authorities can come.

"That was one of the weirdest moments in my life," Tara states as she rubs the back of her neck. "I can only imagine what you and Kim deal with, but what was up with that other guy in the black and blue?"

Before Ron can answer, the bueno naco worker from earlier comes back and questions the pair. "Wait, what happen?"

"Didn't you see that bird guy come down and attack the best fast-food restaurant company ever?" Ron points in the direction where the bird guy fled toward the exit.

"Aviarius!" The worker announces hastily.

"You know of him?" Tara quizzes.

The worker shakes his head, answering, "Um, no, he just kept saying his name a lot."

"This is facts!" Ron agrees, but Tara is still unsure about what occurred.

"As a worker here, do you happen to know what that guy would have wanted?" she asks, wanting to know more.

"No, sorry. I have no idea what that brave superhero would have wanted, either." The manger said, folding his arms.

"So the black and blue guy was a superhero?" Ron asks curiously.

"Isn't it obvious!? He had glowing body parts for crying out loud." The manager describes the supposed superhero.

Ron continues to go with the random worker's words and walks towards the machines saying, "Good points, well with that said, all that action got the ron-man craving some nacos."

"Oh sorry, we don't serve nacos." The manager expresses to the young blonde, not wanting to get his hopes up any more than he did earlier.

Ron's eyes grow large, and he makes a complete U-turn after hearing the disappointing news. "So, on that note, Tarabear, we are leaving."

When Ron walks up to his girlfriend, he notices she doesn't look as good as before. "Tara, are you okay?"

"I feel strange, Ronnie," Tara answers, unsure if and where her headache came from. It happened out of nowhere.

"See, there's even more reason to blow this spot. Let's go, " Ron says as he escorts Tara back home. The manager watches them leave with a worried look.

*Next day at school*

"Top to the morning, Tarabear. Are you feeling better from yesterday?" Ron greets his girlfriend with a soft hug as they meet at the front of the building.

Tara braces the hug despite not feeling 100%. "I'm not sure Ronnie. I'm still feeling a bit weird yesterday."

Before Ron can inquire more, Kim approaches the pair, getting their attention as they walk to their lockers. "Hey guys, how did the bueno nacho trip go?" She asks since Tara agreed to go with Ron. Kim doesn't feel the need to attend, especially not wanting to be third wheel in that situation.

"Hey KP, and it would have been better if they had the naco like how the main headquarter don't have the best order in the whole franchise?!" Ron complains to Kim, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Not only that, some random bird guy came blasting in with some blue hero guy chasing him off." Tara chimes in casually, finally stopping at her locker.

"Wait, what!?" Kim questions, wanting to know about the additional part Ron leaves out.

"Don't worry, KP. None of us was hurt, and it's not like anything else unusual happened." Ron explains, downplaying the events from yesterday.

While attempting to open her locker, Tara is about to say her peace when a sudden blue glow appears from her hand, causing her to break the door off her locker. "Um, besides that." Kim looks at Tara with a shocked expression before glaring at a shrugging Ron.

"Tara, how, when can you do that?" Kim asks frantically, looking back at the display that Tara has done.

"I honestly didn't know I could do that," Tara answers nervously until a thought pops into her head. "Do you think it has something to do with that stuff that bird villain hit me with, Ronnie?"

Kim can nearly grab all the hair off her head from the lack of information. "I thought you said no one got hurt Ron!" Kim blurts out at her best friend.

"Well, from the time, it didn't seem like it." Ron expresses, backing up towards his now super strong girlfriend.

"Relax, Kim. Ronnie did his best to ensure I didn't get harmed." Tara steps in between her boyfriend and Kim, hoping to dispute the tension.

Kim observes Tara for a bit and starts to calm down, remembering that the two weren't on a mission and that the main thing is that neither of the blondes was hurt. "Okay, let's get Wade to scan you. Hopefully, we can figure out what's going on with you as soon as possible. In the meantime, try not to go crazy with your new condition."

Once they head to Kim's locker, Wade scans Tara and helps her figure out her new powers. During the rest of school, Tara tries her best not to use her new abilities but finds it difficult. For example, in gym class, she accidentally tears down a basketball hoop, and during cheer practice, she has no problem lifting the cheerleaders, much to Kim's annoyance.

Later, after practice, Ron and Rufus go to Buneo Nacho by the school to order their food and meet the ladies. After seeing their food, Rufus starts to get hungry and is about to jump in, but Ron stops him. "Um, rude. You know we need to wait on Tarabear and Kim."

"Hey guys!" Kim calls out, walking beside Tara and towards Ron and Rufus.

Tara is about to greet her boyfriend when she notices a random car parked in front of a fire hydrant and decides to do something about it. "That doesn't look like a legal park, " she says. Her hands go blue, and she pushes the car up, annoying Kim but impressing Ron.

"I think I can get used to a super strong girlfriend." Ron compliments Rufus, who agrees with him.

Tara blushes at the comment as she and Kim sit down, but before they can say anything, the Bueno Nacho manager the couple met the day before appears to confront them.

"Excuse miss?" The Bueno Nacho work starts to address Tara before Ron interrupts him.

"Dude, did you get transferred to this Bueno Nacho?" Ron excuses the manager.

The worker groans and answers, "No."

"Did they fire you because of the no Nacho policy?" Ron excuses him again, getting on the manager's nerves.

"No! If you excuse me, I must talk to your girlfriend, miss." The manager turns back to Tara, wanting to know her name.

"Tara Knight. What's wrong?" Tara introduces herself, concerned that the Bueno Nacho worker needs to talk to her.

"Well, you have my super strength." The manager's statement making a shock reaction to appear from the teenagers.

*Team Go building*

After revealing that his powers were transferred to Tara, the Bueno Nacho manager escorts the teens to his secret headquarters to explain more about what's happening. Once they reach the front door, they wait for the manager to open it, but he shakes his head sadly. "Only a member of Team Go can open this door."

"Okay. And?" Kim says, missing the point he is trying to make. Thankfully, Tara catches on and places her hand on the lock pad, causing the door to open.

The Bueno nacho manager leads the way, showing them inside the entrance. "The blue Go Team glow is no longer mine. Welcome to the Go Tower. Perhaps you have surmised that I am no ordinary fast-food manager.

"Duh. You're the man who tried to kill the Naco." Ron excuses him once again.

Kim rolls her eyes in annoyance. "Ron, I think he's referring to his superpowers, which somehow I now have. Look, mister, uh..."

"I am... Hego." The Bueno nacho manager rips his work clothes off to reveal a blue and back costume with a black mask, and his hair is now blue.

"Black-and-blue super dude. That explains a lot... though not everything." Ron is about to question the hero, but Kim stops him, already knowing what he is about to say.

"Ron, drop the Naco thing," Kim says before looking back at Hego. "Well, Hego, I guess... Hego. It can't be. Does the name Shego ring a bell?" She asks after noticing how Hego's costume resembles Shego's and the green chair.

"You know of my sister?" Hego questions back in disbelief.

"Oh, yeah, we're on a first-name basis. Does she have a last name?" Ron expresses and inquires.

Kim chimes in stating, "She works for my arch foe, Dr. Drakken."

"Hmm. I've never heard of him." Hego responds, not knowing the details about his sister.

"Well, we're even then, 'cause I've never heard of your bird guy." Kim points out as well.

Hego growls, recalling his archnemiss. "Aviarius, the dark master of the winged world."

Tara, trying to keep up with the conversation, can't help but wonder about Hego's history of Shego, knowing that she is Kim's rival on missions. "Uh, can you explain more about Shego? Is she your sister?" Ron and Kim are also more curious about the backstory.

"And at one time, a fellow hero." Hego sadly sighs as he begins to share Team Go's history.

Author's note: It's been forever since I worked on this story, so I'm glad to have been able to provide an update. This chapter was a pain to write for the longest time, as I debated how to give Tara a bit of edge, but this is what I came up with—well, part one at least. I decided to split this into two parts to show that the story is still alive.
