Nestled in the quiet countryside with the Altmiller Mountains embrace in the north and the vast Karagol Sea to the south lies the unassuming town of Cyril where one youth named Ryo struggles with breaking free of generational expectations. His dreams to be a swordsman span beyond the palisade walls of town with a yearning for an adventure of his own. But the world has become a more dangerous place ever since the eruption of Mt. Aleph in the far north, which bred monsters across the countryside. He soon finds himself thrust out into the world, unready and unprepared, on a quest that he neither wanted nor desired under conditions that were less than desirable. However, Fate seemed to be leading this young boy into unexpected circumstances. He would have to grow up quickly or be left behind and consumed by the shadows that pursue him. This is the journey of how one young boy was shaped from humble youth into the "Knight of Weyard."

A/N: Here's how the formatting works. Any spoken dialogue is between "quotation marks." Any thoughts or mental dialogue is indicated with italics. And the narration of the story is anything that is not between quotes or in italics. BTW, Camelot owns GS; I do not. I do own the original characters and the plot that you will soon read.
