Hi everyone, AuthorETH here, I hope you're all as excited as I am for my new Halloween-themed story! The Camp Camp characters in the movie Hocus Pocus! In my opinion, it's the best Halloween movie ever! Anyway, I put a spell on you, and now you've gone, INTO MY STORY, Woo-hoo!

"And so… the Sanderson sisters were hanged by the Salem townsfolk after they swore they'd be back by the hands of a virgin on a Halloween night with a full moon, and to this day an old black cat still guards the old Sanderson house, warding off any who might make the witches come back to life, so they may steal the lives of children once more!"

Max sighed heavily at his young female teacher's dramatic voice. Of course, there'd be a lesson about witches on Halloween. In Salem Massachusetts nonetheless.

"Can this shit be over already?" the boy thought to himself.

"Alright the bell is about to ring, please be safe during your trick-or-treating tonight, and don't forget your homework is due soon!" The teacher reminded the class as the bell rang for the end of the school day, giving the students the go-ahead to hustle out of the classroom.

Max didn't say a word as he left the school, he was still getting used to everything since he had just moved here from another state and was now living with his foster dad and former camp counselor, David.

Max's hands tightened around the straps of his backpack as he walked down the road covered in autumn leaves, kicking them up as he went. As he walked down the old road of Sanderson Street, Max noticed that the houses in this part of town were older and farther apart than the ones in his neighborhood.

"Fucking Fixer uppers much?" he thought to himself as observed the broken windows and caved in wooden steps on front porches, as well as vines growing everywhere to the point where you could barely see most of the houses. It wasn't until he came across a large wooden sign at the end of a dirt path that read in large golden letters; "CLOSED… For Reservations…" that he stopped.

Max frowned. Why in the hell would someone have this placed in front of their house? He was then about to go up the dirt path to investigate. But after remembering David's words of warning not to wander too far out of caution, Max stopped in his tracks and sighed. Deciding he'd rather not face David's overprotective nature more than he already had to, he began to back up, make his way back to the side walk, but as the boy was about to turn around, he heard a strange hissing noise from up the path. Now more curious than before Max decided to check it out, and after fighting his way through the vines and branches covered in orange and red leaves, he discovered an old 1600s two-story house that had clearly seen better days, but what really caught Max's attention was a small group of second grader's who were throwing rocks at a black cat who was hissing as the kids laughed and tormented it.

"What the Hell?! HEY, STOP THAT YOU LITTLE BASTARDS!" Max exclaimed angrily as he ran towards the younger kids who cowardly ran away and out of sight.

"Huh, little shits," Max grumbled as he then set down his backpack and kneeled down to the poor little cat. "Hey there little guy are you okay? Sorry I didn't come sooner" Max said apologetically. From what he could tell the cat was female with big dark blue eyes looking up at Max with curiosity and wonder as it got up and shook her fur from the dust.

Max cautiously held out his hand for the little cat to sniff, only the cat didn't sniff his hand, she simply placed her head under his warm palm signaling she wanted him to pet her. Max smiled as he scratched her beyond the ears, making the cat let out a strange purr as if she had never made the noise before, while nuzzling the boy's hand.

Max let a small smile cross his face. "Don't go giving me any bad luck, okay, I have enough of that, '' the boy chuckled. The little cat then stopped nuzzling his hand and looked up at him with a curious stare as if to ask him what he meant.

Max sighed. "If you tell anyone I told you this I 'will' shave your butt. The boy stated seriously as he then spoke up again. "I was abandoned, by my birth parents, I knew they never cared, they just tolerated me until I went to school or summer camp, and sure enough, at the end of this summer they ran away out of the country leaving me with nothing but a backpack full of what I had brought with me to camp. I should've been really sad but I wasn't, like I said I knew they didn't care about me, so I was really just scared of what would happen to me in the end. David, my camp counselor, took me in and soon he and Gwen, the other counselor, started dating and moved in with us. I mean I have nothing against them, but I know they only did this because they felt like they had to. That's why I've been keeping my distance from both of them especially David. One day or another though, they'll get rid of me. If my own parents could do it, anyone can…" Max trailed off as he bit his bottom lip to keep himself from crying. "I have no idea, why I just told you all of that, sorry"

The little cat, who had been listening very closely to the boy, then took the opportunity to put her front paws on his arm and licked his face with her sandpaper tongue. Max stroked her dirty black fur and smiled sadly as he stood up and stretched. As Max turned around he stopped. In front of the house there was a sign that sent a chill up his spine with its words; "The Sanderson Sisters House: Museum'' Max shook his head. Did he really feel afraid of an old house about some fake legend about witches who ate children's life forces? He was much braver than that, much braver and it wasn't real anyway, just an old story meant to scare little kids… just an old story… and nothing more.

After giving the cat one more pet goodbye, Max decided to head home. When he looked back however, he saw the cat staring at the house with a strange serious expression on its face. Almost as if it were… waiting… for something, anything to happen. Max then thought back to the legend of the three Sanderson sisters, didn't the story say something about a black cat guarding their old house after they were hanged…? Max shook his head again, he really needed Halloween to be over.

"David, the fidgeting really isn't necessary" Gwen stated as she was reading a dirty fanfic on her phone, sitting at the old kitchen table. David bit his lip as he was looking out the kitchen's small window while taping his left foot on the white tiled floor.

"Sorry Gwen, but he's usually back by now, what if he was kidnapped by a stranger, or jumped by a bear, or-"

"David, it's only been two minutes from the usual time Max walks through the door, he'll be here any minute, so stop freaking out" Gwen said finally looking up from her phone.

David sighed. "Sorry, it's just that he's been through so much, I just want to protect him and make sure he feels the love of a family. Also I just want to be a good parent…" the red head trailed off nervously as he went to retrieve a plastic water bottle from the fridge and chugged it down in just a few gulps.

Gwen sighed and put her phone down as she got up from the table and hugged David from behind. "You are a good parent, David, Max is lucky to have you for his dad, so don't worry about that and focus on doing your best, that's all anyone can do. In the meantime lets enjoy Halloween with our little shit" she said, patting David on the back.

David turned his head to her and smiled. "Thanks Gwen"

Just then the couple heard the front door open, Gwen then felt David straighten up.

"Max is that you?!" He cried in excitement.

"Yeah" Max replied dully as he passed the kitchen and walked up to his room before David could crush him in another 'welcome home hug' as he called it.

But rather than be upset about it, David was smiling from ear to ear. "well better go get his surprise!" he sang as he ran off to his and Gwen's room, while Gwen herself decided to walk up to Max's room to see the boy himself playing fortnight with his back turned to her.

"Hey you little shit, how was school?" she asked, sitting next to him. But the boy continued to ignore her.

Gwen frowned and ruffled his hair making the wireless earbuds fall out of the his ears, making him jump.

"Fuck! Gwen what is your deal?!" Max exclaimed with a fierce look shining in his teal green eyes, a shine that they always had whenever he was annoyed or mad.

"Easy there squirt, I just wanted to know how your day went" Gwen replied, shaking her head with her hands held up in defense.

"It was fine, other then learning about some shitty legend about three witches called the Sandy sisters, or whatever the fuck they're called" Max replied as he tried to get back to his game, only to have Gwen snatch away his device. "Hey! Give it back that's my only reason to keep living!" Max yelled as Gwen held the object far out of his reach.

"Hey, Hey chill out kid, Just have a decent conversation with me, and then 'maybe' I'll give it back, deal?" she offered, making Max sit back down, crossing his arms, pouting as he gave her a single nod.

Gwen smiled victoriously. "Okay, you mean the 'Sanderson' sisters, yeah I've heard about that legend. There used to be a museum about them nearby, according to our neighbor at least"
Max's head shot up, now she had his undivided attention. "Is it on Sanderson Street around a bunch of shitty messed up houses?" he asked.

"Yeah actually- you've seen it?" she asked a bit nervously.

"Yeah, I walked past it today on my way here, why?" Max questioned.

"It's nothing just… that neighborhood was abandoned, no one's lived there in years," Gwen said biting her lip"

"Why?" Max questioned.

Gwen hesitated, but just before Max could tell her to forget about it, she answered. "A lot of weird and freaky things happened there. Some people committed suicide or would get into a car wreck, but the weirdest thing is it all happened close to that old Sanderson house, but mostly in the actual house or on the property. That's why they shut the museum down-"

Gwen was then cut off by David entering the room. "Good afternoon, my little camper and son!" the man stated happily with a package in his arms, making Max roll his eyes. "It's Halloween, and there's nothing better than free candy, and I bought your costume Max, enjoy!" the redhead exclaimed handing the box to Max who hesitatingly looked inside, his eyes then widened like serving plates.

"Oh no, oh hell no, and did I mention? NO!" Max exclaimed, his face reddening with anger and embarrassment.

"Oh come on it'll be cute" Gwen urged, trying to hold back a laugh.

"Not happening!" Max grumbled, crossing his arms and turning away from the two.

"Aw come on, Max I'll be wearing a similar costume, and Gwen's gonna dress up too, so let's get going!" David sang happily wrapping both Gwen and Max into a tight big bear hug.

The boy sighed.

"If either of you guys post any pictures on social media I 'will' leave you both for dead if we get stuck in a horror movie cliche tonight" he stated with seriousness in his voice with a dark expression to match.

"Great! We're going to have so much fun!" David said ruffling Max's hair as the boy took the box and walked across the hall to the bathroom, without another word.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

"Alright, are you two ready? It's almost dark!" Gwen called as she put on her cat mask to match the gray classic 'Cat Woman' costume. As she looked in the mirror to make sure she had everything right, she grabbed her phone to take a picture of herself and hurried out to the living room to see Max and David in their Halloween costumes.

"Kill me now," Max pleaded as he wore a red and green 'Robin' costume with a yellow and black cape, and a green mask covering his eyes, with matching gloves.

"I think what you mean to say is; "I'm The Boy Wonder!" David said as he pulled up his own mask. "And I'm Batman!" the redhead said in a dark deep voice as he pulled his own black cape around him as if he were trying to hide himself from villains. He wore a black and gray Batman costume with a yellow gadget belt and of course, the hooded black mask with bat ears over his head.

"Yeah, yeah, okay, let's get a picture! Gwen said excitedly as she pulled the two close to her and captured a picture of the three of them on her phone.

"Come on Max, smile, this'll be your best Halloween ever, I'll make sure of it!" David promised.

Max sighed. "Why did you two have to get into the costume thing too?" He asked painfully.

"I thought it would be way more fun that way, and I have a big surprise for you after we come home, so that makes this Halloween even better!" David exclaimed excitedly.

"Let's just get this over with," Max grumbled as he headed towards the door.

"Wait, we have to go over some ground rules!" David proclaimed.

"Are you fucking serious!?" Max gritted through his teeth as he turned back to the two adults.

"One; no talking to strangers, Two; look both ways before you walk across the street, seeing as they'll be busier than usual tonight, and Three; no talking to clowns, seeing as they are the root of all evil on Halloween" David stated.

Max raised an eyebrow, but before he could ask what he meant, Gwen cut him off.

"I made him watch 'IT' last night," she snickered

Max shook his head, it was going to be a long night.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

The full moon was so big and bright that night, that Max even took a few opportunities to gaze at it as he was walking up porch after porch while David and Gwen walked behind him taking pictures at every house. Max also noticed that all the kids who walked past them were either laughing or whispering about them. Though he tried to ignore them, he couldn't help but feel a little upset about it. Back when he lived with his biological parents he always had to make his costume by hand, so it always ended up looking stupid or shitty. Not to mention he always went trick-or-treating by himself without any supervision. He cursed his past self for not feeling as embarrassed as he did now.

As Max was about to walk up to the next house he failed to notice that an uneven piece of concrete was right in front of him, and tripped scraping his knees in the process.

"Max!" David exclaimed in shock as he rushed to the boy's side.

Max's face burned bright red as David took out a large teddy bear-shaped bandaid, along with some disinfecting treatment from his yellow belt, and began to treat the scraps.

"Aw, there's the ten-year-old baby!" a second-grader girl dressed as a sleeping beauty shrieked amusingly, as she pointed at Max, along with all the other laughing kids on the street.

"Hey, I thought Robin wore tights!" another kid mocked.

Max looked around, biting his lip. Wanting nothing more than to run away in tears. No, he wouldn't give those little dickheads any satisfaction, it was David's fault for overreaction and making him wear this stupid Robin costume

"Hey, Max don't listen to them they just-" David started as he tried to place the cute bandage over the boy's knee, only to have his hand slapped away by Max as the boy himself got up and ran off the street as fast as he could.

"MAX!" David called frantically as he tried to run after the boy, only to have Gwen grab his shoulder in response. "Oh Gwen we have to stop him, he'll get hit by a car if he's not careful!"

"Hold on," Gwen said darkly as she turned to the laughing kids all around them. "Hey you little shitheads, get lost or I'll call your parents and tell them you pushed our kid into the street, do NOT test me" the woman threatened seriously. The children immediately stopped laughing and rushed off in different directions muttering about the 'scary cat lady'.

"Okay I'm done, now let's go find our little shit before he gets himself into more trouble"

David smiled at her as they rushed off to find Max.

())())))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Max ran and ran until his breath was raspy and dry. He shivered uncomfortably as the blood on his scraped knees trickled down both of his legs, but he was too angry to tend to them.

"Fucking David, Fucking Gwen, and FUCKING TEDDY BEAR BANDAID!" he shouted at the top of his lungs as he tore off his mask and threw it to the ground breathlessly. Max didn't even realize he had been crying until he slumped down onto the edge of the deserted sidewalk. "I'm so fucking stupid, they'll get rid of me for sure now. I shouldn't care, I knew it would happen anyway, then why, why am I crying about it like a stupid two-year-old?" Max asked himself. "Who am I kidding? it's all because I let myself believe that they actually cared about me!"

Max ran his hands through his hair as the autumn wind whistled past him… and suddenly it spoke.

"Winnie, I smell blood… it's from a nine- no, no ten-year-old boy and he is near, very near…" a voice on the wind whispered softly.

Max's head shot up and looked around frantically, only to see that he was completely alone on the deserted street.

"my, my, perhaps he will be able to assist us… sister Sarah sing… sing…" a second voice on the wind hissed.

Max looked around and saw behind him was the same dirt path he had encountered earlier that day, but before he could think anything else he heard a sweet and warm sound on the wind that made him pause.

"Come little children, I'll take thee away,

into a land of enchantment,

come little children the time's come to play

here in my garden of magic…"

Max felt his current emotional and physical pain wash away, as the bliss of the song ordered him to walk forward and up the dirt path. In the back of his mind, however, he could've sworn he heard two familiar voices call out his name, wait what was his name again? And whose voices were they?

"hush now dear children it must be this way,

too weary of life and deception,

rest now my children for soon will away,

into the calm and the quiet…"

The boy's thoughts were interrupted once more by the distant song of the soft wind, guiding him farther up the dirt road. He walked up the front steps into the 1600s house he had seen earlier that day, and into the partly opened door. Inside the old house in the center of its one room, was a large black caldron over a small fire pit that hadn't been used in years. On the caldron's right was a large ugly leather book with a closed eye on its casp in a glass case, and on the left was a tall candle stand with a tall candle on top of it…

It wasn't until Max heard the door slam shut behind him that he snapped back into reality.

"What. The fuck. Just happened to me?!" he exclaimed in the dark house, the only light was coming from the full moon, in the front window next to the front door. "How the hell did I even get in here?" Max asked out loud.

"MAX!" Someone shouted from the other side of the door.

Max recognized it was David's voice before the man himself (and Gwen) burst into the house.

"You're okay!" David exclaimed as he tore off his Batman mask, throwing it to the floor, and embraced Max tightly.

"Hey you little dipshit, what happened to you back on the street, you were acting like a zombie, did you even hear us calling you from a quarter of a mile away?" Gwen asked anxiously.

Max said nothing, he didn't have an answer since he wasn't entirely sure what happened either. one minute he was his normal angry self the next… he found himself inside a house he didn't remember walking into.

"where are we?" the boy asked as soon as David released him from his air-stealing hug.

"The old Sanderson house- wait you 'didn't' mean to come in here?" David asked nervously.

Max only shook his head.

David stared at him, but then sighed. "well it's pretty dark in here, let's find some light" the red-headed man stated as he used the moonlight in the room to find a lighter on the cash register desk, but the moment he grabbed it, the same black cat that Max had saved that day sprang out from behind the desk and began to attack David's arm.

"AHH!" the man cried as he managed to fling the cat off of him.

"Oh my fuck, are you okay?" Gwen asked, rushing over to David's side.

"yeah, what was with that cat- Max?" David suddenly questioned when he noticed a serene look dawn upon the boy's face.

"come little children, I'll take thee away,

into a land of enchantment,

come little children, the time's come to play…

here in my garden of magic…"

"What the, whose singing?" Gwen asked nervously as she and David glanced around the house, only to see Max pick up the lighter David had dropped and approached the strange candle beside the caldron.

"Max, what are you doing?" David asked nervously, but the boy didn't look back at him as he turned on the lighter with a small 'click'.

Gwen's eyes widened in realization. "No, that's the- MAX NO!" she screamed, but it was too late, Max lit the strange candle that then ignited with a black flame.

"Huh, what, what's going on?" the boy asked after shaking his head groggily as he dropped the lighter that closed upon the floor's impact.

"We need to get out of-" Gwen started only to stop when the ground beneath them began to shake and the floorboards began to fidget and jump, showing off the green light beneath them.

Max, David, and Gwen cried out in fear as they tried to reach for each other, only once they had all grabbed one another they saw the fire beneath the caldron light up and everything went still and quiet.

"What the gosh darn heck just happened?!" David exclaimed.

Gwen looked at Max. "A fucking virgin lit the black flame candle"

It wasn't until a cackle was heard from the other side of the front door that three trespassers hid, Max behind the cash register desk, Gwen in the broom closet, and David behind the postcard racks.

Suddenly the door swung open to reveal three figures among the shadows until they stepped into the light.

A red-headed middle-aged woman with buck teeth, wearing a dark green old-fashioned dress, was in the middle of the three. the one on the left was a slightly younger woman wearing a scarlet dress with crazy-styled black hair, and the youngest woman on the right was a long-haired blonde in a lavender-purple dress.

"We're home!" the redheaded woman breathed loudly. "Oh, sweet revenge, you see sisters, my curse worked perfectly," she boasted.

"That's because thou art perfect Winnie!" the brunette beside her said.

"True Mary," Winnie agreed as she and Mary walked further into the house, while the blonde woman was reaching above the door frame appearing to be searching for something.

"Oh I knew I left this caldron right here didn't I tell you, I knew it!" Mary said, pointing to the fire-pitted caldron.

"My lucky rat's tail, just where I left it!" the blonde woman exclaimed, twirling a piece of leather in her fingers.

Max covered his mouth in fear when Winnie asked out loud;

"But where is the child who lit the black flame candle?" as she looked at the lit candle before her. "sister Sarah, where is he?" the redhead questioned.

"Where's who?" the blonde lady asked, still twirling the rat's tail in her fingers.

"Oh no matter, book wake up, wake up sleepy head. come now we've got work to do," Winnie stated tapping the glass of the bookcase.

David covered his mouth just before he could scream, the closed eye on the ugly book opened to reveal a rotting green eye.

"Oh Winnie," Mary called.

"Yes?" Winnie replied.

"I smell the child who lit the candle" she whispered darkly.

Max lowered his head to his bleeding knees, trying to be as quiet as possible.

"sick 'em!" Winnie hissed excitedly.

"Oh, can I play with him?" Sarah asked, jumping up and down as she followed her sisters.

"Shut up!" Winnie growled quietly as she and Sarah silently followed Mary to the front desk. "Come out little boy, we will not harm thee," Winnie said sweetly.

"We like children AH-" Mary cried out as David took a fake Batter-ang from his Batman belt, and threw it at the witches.

"leave my son alone!" he demanded in a more serious tone than Gwen and Max had ever heard before.

"Hm…" Winnie sneered, clearly not impressed as she struck David with a green bolt of lightning coming from her fingers.

"David!" Max cried, coming into the open, only to have Mary catch and restrain him, while Sarah and Winnie approached a dizzy David who was now on the floor.

"You, there," Winnie stated trying to contain her laughter, making David fly face-first into it.

"David!" Max shouted as Mary held him tightly.

"Mary!" Gwen called as she hit the witch with a frying pan to the head, making her faint and release Max, who rushed over to aid David, who was continuously getting struck by Winnie's green lightning.

"Leave my Dad alone!" He yelled as he used his bag of candy to knock Winnie and Sarah off their feet.

"David come on, get up idiot, we have to go!"

"Not so fast you little brat!" Winnie stated as she grabbed Max by the arm, only to have the black cat from earlier attack her shoulder from behind.

"AH! Sarah, Mary, get this bitch off me!" she screeched as her sisters snapped into action to aid her.

taking this chance, David began to hurry Max and Gwen out the door.

"David, what the hell are you doing!?" Gwen questioned as she saw him pick up the lighter Max had dropped minutes before.

"Go, I'll catch up!"

"But-"

"GO!" David demanded shoving Gwen out the door.

Once Max and Gwen were outside, David climbed up to the front loft using the front desk.

"HEY!" he shouted to the witches who had just recovered from the cat attack and were now looking up at him.

"You have messed with The Batman you now must suffer the consequences, I will now summon the burning rain of death!" he stated as the witches looked at each other confused.

David turned on the lighter, making them gasp.

"He makes fire in his hands?!" Winnie questioned, as David held the lighter up to the sprinklers, turning them on with the flaming spark.

"AHH!" the Witches screamed in terror as they ran under the other loft by the back of the house.

"ha!" David laughed as he jumped down from his loft, only to slip onto his back after hitting the floor.

"Nice job, David," a young woman's voice stated.

David looked up to see the black cat that had attacked him and then Winnie standing on his chest.

"Y-you can talk?!" David whispered in shock.

"Wow no kidding, now get the spell book!" the cat demanded.

David, who was still shocked by all that happened, could only stare at her. "Come on, go!" she cried, swatting him in the face, giving him the push he needed to grab the frying pan Gwen had used earlier to break open the glass case, catching Winnie's undivided attention.

"Shut up!" she ordered her fearfully whining sisters.

Once David had broken the glass case completely, she cried out in horror.

"MY BOOK!"

David wasted no time as he grabbed the old book and sprinted out the door with the cat close behind him.

"Confound it!" Winnie huffed, holding out her hands, realizing what 'The Burning Rain of Death' really was.

"Winnie careful!" Mary cried.

"Shut up, it is but water!" she exclaimed.

"Oh… well most refreshing," Mary said as Sarah began to dance under the sprinklers.

"Damn that fool, he tricked us, and he has stolen my book, after him!" Winnie demanded pointing out the open front door as she and her sisters rushed out of the house grabbing their preserved broomsticks in the process.

"W-why do we need the book, Winnie?" Mary asked.

Winnie's face reddened, nearly matching her hair as she turned to the other witches. "SISTERS!" she shouted. "Let me make this perfectly clear, the magic that has brought us back only works tonight, on all Hallows Eve, when the sun came up we were dust… dust" she trailed off.

"Dust?" Mary and Sarah asked at the same time.

"BOOM!" Winnie exclaimed, startling her sisters. "Fortunately the potion I brewed the night we were hanged will keep us alive and young forever… UNFORTUNATELY, THE RECIPE FOR THAT POTION IS IN MY SPELL BOOK! and that skinny man bat has stolen it! There for sisters dear, we must find my book, brew the potion, and suck the lives out of all the children of Salem before sunrise otherwise we cease to exist! Does thou understand?" Winnie asked nearly breathless after raising her voice so much.

"Um you started out beautifully Winnie but-" Mary started only to have a distracted Sarah cut her off.

"Explain what?" she asked.

Winnie took a deep breath to keep herself from shouting again. "Come we fly!" stated as she took off on her broomstick followed by her sisters.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

Meanwhile, the black cat led David, Max, and Gwen to a place where 'witches could not touch them' as she had put it.

"Um this is a fucking graveyard" Max stated looking at the pair of iron gates before them.

"Yes, and it's also sacred ground, witches can't set foot in places like this, now hurry up and get in," the cat urged.

"So we're just gonna follow a talking black cat into an old graveyard. Are we really doing this shit, after all that just happened back there?" asked Gwen.

"I don't think we have an option Gwen, come on!" David said as he, Max, and Gwen walked into the graveyard closing the gates behind them.

"Wait, you're the same cat I saw at that crazy house earlier today, and now this, but I don't get it you're a black cat on Halloween, aren't you supposed to be on the witch's side? Who are you exactly?" the boy asked.

"NO! I would never aid witches, especially not Winniefred and her sisters, never, not after they took my son from this world and cursed me to be an immortal cat as I am now!" the cat stated bitterly as she bowed her head painfully.

"Wait, you're Luna Evens," Gwen said in disbelief.

"Yes," was all the cat said.

"Huh, so the legends are true," Gwen proclaimed.

"What?" David and Max asked in unison.

"Please sit down and I will tell you all how this came to be, but I warn you it is not a pretty tale," Luna warned as she cleared her throat and began to tell her story…

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2023!
