(Hi, my name's Doze for those new. This is technically the original blueprint for my Foster Koopalings AU. See, I've always been fond of the found family trope, and when I wrote one myself, this was my very first. I often read it to myself, I guess, since I didn't post anything before. But anyways, I'm polishing up this story, because I'm a huge Epic Mickey fan, and this was purely based on an old fanfic I read called Oswald's Other Kids by AbandonedLongAgo, so credit goes to them for the inspiration. Anyways, enjoy!)

Chapter 1:
Oswald wasn't expecting a toddler to show up in his world. He didn't know how this baby had gotten to the Cartoon Wasteland, but he knew he couldn't leave him with The Mad Doctor.
The baby was fast asleep in his arms, muttering words and crying randomly. He was sorta baby turtle with spikes.
He had blue hair and carried a bunch of weird devices on him.
"Shh-shh-shh, it's okay…you're safe, bud." Oswald said, "Wan' Daddy…" the small turtle said, quietly.
Oswald looked sad, whoever this kid's daddy was came from the world beyond Wasteland. He needs to get him out of here if he wants to get him home.
He was tempted to use the fact that this boy had a Heart to be remembered, but…
"What kind of things are you thinking, Oswald? Ortensia's still trapped, and…you can't leave your kids behind. This kid…this baby…why on earth would you EVER use him?" Oswald thought to himself, ashamed of the intrusive thoughts.
(Later)
Larry didn't remember much about what happened, all he remembered was some sort of magic mirror, and then…being pulled into some place by a dark purple sludge monster!
The young Koopaling had been placed in the arms of a strange man in a lab coat. "Eeeheehahahahah…Not the IDEAL subject, but I'm sure you'll work perfectly." He said.
"What are you—!" Larry tried to fight back! "'Et go! 'Et go! DADDY! DADDY, HELP! LUDDY! LUDDY, WHERE ARE YOU…?!" Larry began to cry as the strange man placed him and strapped him on a wooden board.
He tried to break out. "Enough struggling, little one! Stress isn't good for your Heart." The man said to him.
The man began to laugh maniacally as he walked to his machine. What Larry didn't expect was someone else! A black and white bunny wearing blue pants rushing in and knocking the man to the side with his elbow.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS, DOC?! HE'S A CHILD!" He shouted at the man. Larry shut his eyes, the bunny was angry just like his daddy. And Larry never liked it when Daddy yelled at people.
The bunny walked up to him, replacing his look of fury with a worried one. Larry shut his eyes and tried to break out. "Hold on, I'll unstrap ya, kiddo!" The bunny said, "It's okay, you're gonna be okay." Mr. Bunny said, gently. Larry could at least see he wasn't trying to hurt him.
Larry's eyes opened reluctantly. He looked around to see he was sitting in a bed with a colorful blanket. He saw his stuff was still in his backpack. "Daddy!" Larry hugged his picture of his family on his keychain, he cried so many tears again.
Luddy always said he could cry waterfalls.
He heard a knock at the door. "Are you awake?" A voice called out from behind the door.
"Wh-Who's there? Morty said not talk to strangers." Larry said, cautiously.
"I'm the person that saved you from the Mad Doctor. The rabbit." The voice said from behind the door.
"M-Mr. Bunny…? O-Okay…come in." Larry said. The door opened, and Oswald had come in.
Larry looked at him, and smiled.
"Bunny!" Larry said, excitedly.
Oswald just sighed, "I'm a RABBIT. Bunnies are different than rabbits, kiddo." Oswald explained.
"Thank you for saving me, Mister Bunny!" Larry said.
"I'm NOT a—Look, my name's Oswald." He introduced himself.
"Ozwa—O-Sswa—Mr. Ozzie!" Larry said, happily.
Oswald just sighed in annoyance, but he knew he'd get nowhere with this kid if he couldn't say his name. "Fine, whatever works for ya, kiddo." Oswald said.
"So, what's your name?" The rabbit asked in return.
"Laramie! Or Larry! Larry Koopa!" Larry explained.
"Larry, huh? Good name." Oswald said, "Thank you." Larry was happy, before digging through his backpack. "Whatcha got there?" Oswald said.
"Phone." Larry said, simply. "That's a PHONE?!" Oswald asked the young boy.
"Uh-huh! Daddy said to keep it in case of emergency." Larry said.
"How would that work? There's no wire attached to that…" Oswald said, Larry just shrugged, not knowing how the phone really works.
"Mr. Ozzie, can you take me home to my Daddy?" Larry said. Oswald just frowned, "I-I'm sorry, bud. I…I can't. I'm Forgotten." Oswald explained.
Larry looked confused. "I-I mean that you came from somewhere I can't get to, kiddo." Oswald said, realizing he had to simplify the explanation to the young child.
"So…no can take me to Daddy?" Larry said.
"Larry, I'm sorry…"Oswald said, apologetically. Larry had begun to cry again.
"Please?! Mr. Ozzie, I'll be really really good! I won't be a bad boy! Please?!" Larry's tears were becoming worse, Oswald just put his hand on his shoulder. "I-It doesn't have anything to do with that, bud. Please don't cry…" Oswald said, but he was surprised when Larry hugged him.
Oswald had frowned and hugged back. "It's okay…It's okay…" Oswald said, gently.
"I want my Daddy. I wanna see Luddy and my family." Larry said.
Oswald wasn't gonna let him cry, "I'll find a way to take you back to them, okay? Someday…" Oswald said.
"Y-You will?" Larry asked, looking up at the rabbit. Oswald smiled, "Uh-huh. I don't know how yet, but I'll find a way. Until then, Larry, I'll take care of ya." Oswald said.
Larry began to smile. "Thank you, Mr. Ozzie." Larry said, hugging him again.
Oswald had patted his head. "Come on, I bet you're hungry. I'll go get us some pizza." Oswald said.
"Pizza?! Pizza!" Larry's eyes began to light up like they were a firework sparkler. "Okay, okay, relax. What do you want on your toppings?" Oswald said, realizing this child was so much like his own children. "Daddy always gets pepperoni." Larry said, "He hates pineapple!"
"Pepperoni and no pineapple, you got it!" Oswald said, happily. "Okay, you stay here, and I get some pizza off of Mean Street."
"Why? Just order off da phone, Mr. Ozzie." Larry said. "Bud, it…won't necessarily work like that. Besides, I don't want anyone delivering to this mountain." Oswald explained. "I'll go get it, okay?" The rabbit asked, Larry nodded his head. Larry sat back up on the bed and tried to look for a game on his phone.
These two never expected to meet each other, but Larry can't go home safely out of Wasteland. But Oswald promised the toddler he'd take him back to his home. So, for now, he has to make sure he's okay living here.
(Okay, we're done! I hope u guys liked it. Like I said, this was my first when fanfic, and I figured I'd remake it for nostalgic purposes. And Oswald can't use the rocket to get Larry out because someone has to control it and he knows it won't work. Doubly so cuz the Blot's roaming around. With that out of the way! Stay strong and awesome!)
