The Maze shuddered as the loud, screeching sound of the box started to fade. Everything seemed to be silent except the murmur of the group surrounding it. Alby, the leader of the gang jumped in to take a look at the newbie, but this time something was wrong. This time, there were three.
"Who are you" he shouted, completely forgetting how loud he was being.
The glade fell silent as if beckoning for the three to speak. A girl voice spoke up. "I'm Hollyleaf and these are my brothers Jayfeather and Lionblaze"
The crowd gasped, not only because of there being a girl but the fact they remember their names. Then out of nowhere Newt appeared the deputy (Second-in-command) of the group. He had just come out with the Homestead
"What's going on?" He said, gesturing to the three kids.
Next reply was Gally, "These shanks just came in through the box."
"Three? Why three?" asked Newt, frowning.
"He doesn't know everything, Newt he's not stupid fortune teller!" Reply Minho sarcastically. He was obviously trying to act cool in front of the girl, who just stared at him, fazed.
"We're still here, you know?" shouted one of the boys supposedly to be called Jayfeather.
Later on, the three had finished being argued over and given a tour. They had been assigned jobs…
Jayfeather and Lionblaze were track-hoes.
Hollyleaf was assigned to work in the Bloodhouse.
It was getting late, and most of the Glades had gone to sleep. Jayfeather was the only one awake. He got up and walked over to the middle of the Glade. He looked around, trying to see anything suspicious about the place. Then he saw in the corner a large rock with carvings, he went over to check and saw lots of names scattered over the wall, engraved within the stone.
When he got there, the walls were wide open. Now they were slamming shut. This made him wonder what was there.
He walked along the rugged stone walls until he reached something smooth. He felt the soft touch of vines, running through his fingers. He pushed through them, feeling something of what seemed to be glass on the other side.
When he finished unravelling the vines he looked through the glass window. To his surprise, there was a spider-like creature. It was half metal as well, he didn't know how to describe it.
He went back horrified of what he'd seen and went to bed. It was hard to get to sleep, but eventually he did. His eyes slammed shut and everything went black.
