Chapter 1

"Good morning Captain Benson," Elliot said as he rolled over in bed to face her.

"Good morning Detective Stabler," she chuckled. It was a Saturday and they had managed to actually be off of work. They had slept in a little but now they could hear dishes being clanked in the kitchen of her apartment.

"Seems like Noah is up," Olivia said. She climbed out of bed, wearing nothing but a long T-shirt that barely covered her backside.

"So, it would seem. Do I need to sneak out the window and down the fire escape?" He asked.

"I highly doubt that is necessary. He knew that you hadn't gone home by now because your shoes are out by the front door," she laughed. He'd missed that laugh. They hadn't been spending much time talking. If they weren't working, they were eating, and then if they weren't doing that, they were playing around under the sheets.

"Point," Elliot chuckled. Olivia tossed on her robe and grabbed her phone while he threw on a shirt over his shorts.

"I'll sneak out first," she smirked and then headed out of the bedroom door. Elliot waited a few minutes and then ducked into the bathroom.

"Hey kiddo," Olivia smiled at Noah.

"Hi mom. Did I make too much noise?" He worried.

"No sweetie. I was going to burn some pancakes so it was probably good that you snagged some cereal," she teased.

"That would have been hard since we're out of pancake mix," he laughed.

"Oh, doubly good then," Olivia laughed as well before making her way to the coffee machine.

"We do have enough milk though. Does Elliot like Cocoa Puffs?" Noah wondered from his seat at the head of the kitchen table.

"Honestly, I have no idea. What adult cereals do we have left?" She asked.

"Fruit Loops," Noah told her.

"That'll do quite nicely," Elliot chuckled as he entered the kitchen. The coffee was almost done brewing and Olivia handed him a bowl and a spoon. Noah got up and pulled the cereal and milk out as well before putting them on the kitchen table. Elliot took a seat to the left of him and started making a bowl of cereal.

"So, what do you want to do today?" Elliot asked Noah.

"I don't know," the younger man admitted.

"Think on it. We all have to get ready for the day so it's not like we have to be somewhere quickly," Olivia told him as she handed Elliot a cup of coffee before taking a seat to the right of Noah. She only had a cup of coffee and made no move to get herself any cereal. A comfortable silence fell between them with only the sounds of people eating breakfast to pierce it. Well until the telltale sound of a phone ringing. Olivia heaved a sigh and quickly went to fetch her phone from the charger.

"Benson,"

"Sorry Cap. We caught a case. I wasn't going to call you but… the vic died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital," Detective Bruno told her. She heaved a sigh.

"Ok. Who is at the crime scene?" Olivia wanted to know.

"Rollins and Velasco are at the scene. Fin is dealing with getting all the nearby camera footage and I went with the vic. Should I call Captain Curry?" He asked.

"Yes. Have her meet you at the coroner's office. I'll head into the precinct," she told him.

"You've got it," Bruno said and with that the phone call ended.

"You guys ok for a while on your own?" Olivia asked the men in her life.

"We'll figure something out," Elliot promised.

"No worries mom. Maybe we can do something together tomorrow," Noah gave her a smile. She went over to him and kissed the top of his head.

"I know I say it a lot but I will make it up to you," she said.

"Go catch the bad guys," Noah gave her smile. She smiled back and then headed back down the hall to the bedroom to get an outfit together.
