Free Booters for Hire Day 0 - An Introduction
Most learned readers. Welcome to this recounting of the beginning of an epic adventure that starts in the middle of the Great Orcoid Empire atop the great cliffs plateau. This Empire spanned from the twin volcanos near the continents far eastern great cliffs all the way to the Border Lands of the continents western great cliffs.
The source for this material is from a group of six adventurers that has no introduction simply because they have no name. They are the famous "The Company With No Name" as told of in Bob the Bards many tales. The person known as "Big Fish" from this saga was also consulted and proved to be extremely helpful in explaining many facets of the adventure and the orcoid culture after a consulting fee was settled upon.
The cast of characters are: -The human Archer-Fighter Princess Xena called Kicka Stompa by the orcoids (and yucky by monsters). -The human Barbarian Champion Ghengis receives the orcoid name Spookie Killa in a later adventure. -The human Ranger Lord Ransarn who was called Biggie Basha by the orcoids. -The elven Fighter/Master Thief Loro who was called Butcha Loota by the orcoids. -The elven High Cleric Tulo who was called Bone Dok by the orcoids. -The elven High Mage Ani who was called Zappa Killa by the orcoids. With appearances by: -Big Fish as the local townsman and future merchant(Thief). -The Mighty Runt, the world strongest and toughest orcoid runt. -The Knowledgeable Big Orc as the most knowledgeable orc known. -Grankle, a very old half orc potion and mushroom liquor maker. -Drovar Norg the Dreugar, a deep dwarf who is the best smith in town. -Fluffy the Grox, it may be huge but it is really just a big softie. -With a cast of several thousand Orcoids containing Orcs, Goblins and Gretchen.
Please note that the adventurers given orcoid names are not used in the story until they are given to the adventurers by others for doing something that earns it. After that they are only called by their orcoid name. Sorry if this causes any confusion.
So a short recap:
To set the scene, this powerful group of level fourteen and fifteen adventures known as the "Company With No Name" had previously caught the ire of several evil entities who now desired their demise. Later during their investigation into the disappearance of Bob the Bard from Saffin Keep the six adventures were trapped within the pages of a story hidden within the same powerful ancient Tome Artifact as had trapped Bob the Bard, leaving all their gear and cloths behind. Bob the Bard did not know that the others had also become trapped, as Bob was further along in the story line and having completed the adventure he had exited back home to Saffin valley through a portal.
One particular scheming daemon (who had no grudge against the six) now seized upon this opportunity to change the portals return location. And so the adventurers passage through the redirected portal became the opening move of a world changing, high stakes gambling game drawing in gods, demons and nigh-omnipotent entities. Once again they were without any cloths or gear and unknown to them a modified curse of monstrous attraction had already been placed upon the princess Xena. They were also unaware that they were now the center of a game of the gods being played for both high stakes, entertainment and for vengeance.
The Orcoid language used is drawn from the Official Orksfurd Ductunary. Don't blame me, blame them.
FYI This tale shall be updated twice a week.
