Prompt: "Can you hit him with your knife?"

"I believe the technical term is 'stab.'"

Pru exhaled softly as she put the key into the door for Nate's apartment with the rest of the team behind her. "You do know that she's going to probably be curled up by the couch, right?"

She could practically feel Nate's eyeroll as she opened the door. "And we'll deal with that once we actually get into the apartment."

The manager rolled her eyes as she walked through the door and immediately made her way over to the couch. Just as she had predicted, Parker was slouched down on the floor in front of the couch. Sighing, Pru lowered herself down next to the thief before Parker spoke up. "There's no way he could've known that stuff. I've never told anyone. No one. Ever."

Pru held her hand out for Parker to take, which she did, as the rest of the team started explaining to the thief what their current mark had done. The manager just kept quiet, listening as Parker kept denying how Dalton Rand had gotten to her and the others just kept explaining. There was not much else that Pru could add, so she figured that providing support was her main job right now. So, she just stayed quiet until after Parker brought up another point.

"But he doesn't know who's going to be in the audience ahead of time."

Pru sighed once again before she spoke up finally. "No, no, he doesn't know until they're there. He's got cameras all over the place hoping to pick up something or hear something that's going to help him in the readings."

Tara took over now. "He has a plant and an assistant who stands in line and pretends to be a part of the audience."

Nate leaned forward a bit more in the chair near Parker. "That person feeds him information about the readings in his ear using ear buds just like we do."

Now Alec spoke up. "Now, there's, like, a dozen hidden cameras, and the bug that Eliot planted in the control room. I got audio feeds off of twenty hidden microphones that were taped to the chairs in the audience. I got names, people they wanted to contact, dates."

"And that is what Rand has hidden up his sleeve."

Tara spoke up. "So, what do we do now?"

Parker squeezed Pru's hand before speaking up again. "Cut off his arms. And his head. Yeah, I wanna kill him. Can you hit him with your knife?"

Pru scoffed. "I believe the technical term is 'stab,' Parker."

Eliot lightly pushed the manager's shoulder. "Well, ya know, I can. I mean, I could…"

Nate frowned. "Or we could give him exactly what he wants. And then make the world think that he's the greatest psychic that ever lived. And then, in front of the network and his audience, we destroy him."

"How do we do that?"

Pru smiled as she looked over at the mastermind. "We go and steal the future."
