They're Watching

It was late in the evening when Mizrak finally woke up. He looked to his left and realized Olrox wasn't there. He scurried out of bed and nearly tripped but managed to steady himself, got dressed but realized he was still hung over from the night before.

As he was about to search for Olrox he heard laughter from the inn below. Recognizing the laughter, he breathed a sigh of relief, Olrox hadn't abandoned him.

He quickly ran downstairs and was greeted by Olrox.

"Mizrak! Come sit down," Olrox said as he patted the chair next to his.

"How are you feeling tonight my boy?"

"Well, besides this dreadful headache, I'm feeling fine."

"Good then have a drink with me."

Grabbing the mug, Mizrak took a sip of the ale and could feel the warm liquid sliding down his throat it was very tasty.

"You thought I left you again didn't you?"

"Yes."

"Well, I don't plan on leaving you again so, you better get used to me."

Mizrak was happy after hearing those words but wasn't letting his guard down yet.

As the night wore on though, he noticed a dark figure sitting in the corner staring at them. It appeared to be a man and looked very familiar to him.

Where had he seen the man before? It will come to him but for now, he'll keep an eye on him.
