Luxanna Crownguard was by all accounts happy. For the first time in what felt like her whole life she was free of the obligations and expectations that came with the last name Crownguard. Transferring to Piltover university might be the best thing that's ever happened to her, she even has real friends now! In Demacia all anyone ever saw was Luxanna Crownguard and the power money and influence that came along with her. There were still the ambitious social climbers who had tried to befriend her in Piltover but to everyone else she was just Lux and that's just how she liked it.

The sound of the person in the desk next to her rapidly cracking their knuckles jolts her out of her thoughts as she takes in her surroundings. Mr "please just call me Victor I'm not even ten years older then any of you" Victor's classroom was probably the most unsafe room she had ever been in. On one hand it had a normal side for the actual instruction and desk work but the other half was a veritable maze of hazards. With nails sticking out of random surfaces, large hunks of metal held up by thin string that looks like it'll break at any moment, and what had been affectionately dubbed "The Pit" which in reality was just a decommissioned elevator shaft that she was told not to question the use of.

This would leave one to think that surely this is the most engaging and entertaining class offered right? Wrong. Never been more wrong in your life. Mr Victor god bless his soul simply had the God given talent of putting people to sleep with his rambles. No one could exactly say why either, his subject matter was interesting enough, he spoke well and without stutter and he was far from quiet with his impassioned commentary and honestly quite jarring cough but without fail at least a quarter of the class would doze off each time.

She had even done it herself a few times. Not that she would ever admit it to anyone she had a image to maintain after all. That 4.0 was a source of pride for her. She tried to use it as motivation to get Sera study but all she ever got was some variation of being called a nerd, and speaking of Sera maybe she could convince her to finally share her shampoo tonight seeing as she ran ou-

Lux did not gasp and jump up in her seat when someone knocked on the door to the classroom loud enough that her chair shook and you have no proof to the contrary. She simply raised her eyes calmly to see who would walk in. Yes yes that's it good save nicely done, and she doesn't have to wait long to see who made the ungodly noise.

The first thing she see's is a shopping cart with something large covered by a tarp inside it being wheeled into the classroom shortly followed by a girl with vibrant blue hair. "Heeeyya mr teach I know i'm late and all buuut I was totally up to important stuff y'know?" Mr Victor doesn't even raise his head or acknowledge the absurdity of what's going on. In fact no one does and that's cause 3 months into the year everyone had more or less come to expect the hi-jinks that usually accompanied that menace known as Jinx.

Lux was aware of Jinx just like most of Piltover University. There was a general avoid if possible warning surrounding her and she did nothing to help that. Lux had heard the rumors swirling around, some obviously just sensationalized like that she was some kind of big drug dealer or something of the like. People said she was bitchy, vindictive and generally an asshole to others and Lux couldn't dispute that based on so many first person accounts.

But she was also aware of Jinx in a different way. Lux as shamed as she is to say is that the blue hair stranger had become a bit of a fixation of hers. It had started the first class of the year as a simple fascination, not many people have blue hair after all and even less have it in the absurd abundance that Jinx does. That slight fascination had grown into something a bit more though later that week when she found a cheap gym close to her dorm and lo and behold who walked in minutes after she got there.

Now Lux was aware she liked women. It wasn't some earth shattering revelation or something pent up for years rather a particularly shameless classmate changed her clothes right in the middle of the locker room and something just clicked that she found her attractive. Nothing ever came of the realization. She knew how her mother would react, sure she wouldn't be disowned or cut off but the passive aggressive remarks for the rest of her life she could do without.

Her father God bless his soul wouldn't even blink an eye but for all his goodness he would always defer to his lady wife's wants and so she never acted on it. Sure she had looked at the other girls in her classes and allowed herself to wonder but never more then that and she was okay with that or at least she thought.

So suffice to say when the pretty girl she recognized from her class started to work out right in her line of sight she couldn't help but let herself stare just a tiny bit, and when the girl had taken off her baggy hoodie to reveal muscled arms Lux admitted to herself maybe just maybe she had a thing for buff girls. It was only natural to search her up on Instagram the next day of course not many people named Jinx after all, what she found was an account full of random pictures of the wilderness, abandoned buildings, all kinds of different art projects, and one picture of a blue braids and the lower half of a body poking out from underneath of a car obviously being worked on. She most definitely did not stare at that one for an extended period of time.

So she watched as Jinx adeptly maneuvered through the danger zone that was the corner without even looking down once with nothing but mild interest (or so she keeps telling herself). Finally letting out a breath she didn't realize she was holding as the girl plops down into the seat in the row in front of her Jinx pulls out a notebook and instantly starts doodling on it.

That was another thing she noticed about the girl. If she was having a bad day she would sit there and mindlessly sketch on a notepad oblivious to the world around her just as she was now. Or so Lux thought as zoning back in the only thing she can focus on are the eyes making direct contact with her, a deep amethyst gazes at her with colors that seem to swim with a- and she realizes she's holding her breath again. She can feel her face all warm and undoubtedly lit up in an embarrassing blush but the worst part is the gasp that slips past her lips as she takes in a large breath.

Jinx didn't say anything. Blue eyes stared into pink as she could feel her already prominent blush turn nuclear as her brain desperately tried to formulate something to say. Seconds stretches into a minute which eventually became two before Jinx finally blinked. Her eye's flashed down for a second and Lux swore she saw a grin ghost upon her face but it was gone so fast that she couldn't be quite sure if she imagined it or not. Just as quickly the blue haired girl shook her head muttering something under her breath and snapping back to being hunched over her desk furiously scribbling away.

That was all she got as the other girl turned around and resumed her sketching like nothing happened. Suffice to say Lux paid no attention to the lesson for the rest of the class and the second the bell rang she quickly organized her things and made her way to the door and all the way back to her dorm as quickly as she could.

Lux knew that objectively she had gotten pretty lucky compared to others when it came to her dorm situation. Her roommate Seraphine was respectful of her privacy, never made a mess or left out trash and had quickly become one of the closest friends she had ever had. Her building was smack dab in the middle of campus and was close to all her classes plus it was right next to a wonderful coffee shop that was guilty pleasure of hers.

All that to say it had its downsides to. Her room was wall to wall with the communal washroom and she could hear the machines running day and night, there was always some kind of maintenance going on with workmen coming and going and the banging of hammers following along with them. The building was full of music majors that shook the walls with their blaring music that she technically couldn't complain about because they were "studying" with heavy emphasis on the quotation marks.

The absolute worst part though? The industrial sized lamp that exuded the light of the sun EVERY SINGLE NIGHT starting at 6pm that was placed directly next to her bedroom window and was the cause of many a restless night.

Tonight though everything was quiet dreadfully to quite. Sera was presumably at her boyfriends for the night, there were no rumbling sounds from the wall to the washroom and there was no music playing so loud she couldn't hear herself think. Normally she would take advantage of the situation and try to study or finally catch up on that show she's been meaning to watch. Tonight however the silence wasn't her ally and she almost missed the deafening beats she'd grown accustomed to because she could use the distraction.

Pink flashed behind her eyelids if she blinked to long and all she could do was fixate on the look that Jinx had given her. Lux prided herself on being good at reading other people, she was a psychology major after all and growing up in the cutthroat Demacian political scene made her finely attuned to deciphering someones motives from just their eyes. Yet despite her prowess she found herself grasping at straws trying to figure out what was going on behind Jinx's.

At first it had been blank. Like she was trying to evaluate what she was seeing. Then it was quizzical like she was taking inventory of puzzle pieces and for a split second something else she still cant put a name to before she looked down. Finally there was a profound sadness right at the end and that's what stuck with her. It wasn't a depressed kind of sad or even an angry kind. Instead she saw the same kind of sadness that she herself carried in her teenage years.

The kind where you feel like you deserve the isolation and loneliness because that's just the way it is. For her it was because of who she was, she was Luxanna Crownguard scion of the insanely wealthy massively influential dynasty and how could she complain about the lack of genuine friends or social connections when she lived in luxury? Her meals were prepared by a five star chef, and the desk in her room probably cost more than half a years rent for someone on an average salary. She had attendants that catered to her every whim and was already pseudo-penciled in for some cushy CEO job where she never actually worked a day in her life.

So when her mother forced her into much to tight dresses and showed her off like a peacock at the latest fundraiser ball or nudged her to talk to a certain business partners son she did it with a smile on her face and a polite "yes mother" on her lips. Until one day after lots of prompting and support from her brother Garen she transferred from the fancy handpicked Demacian boarding school to Piltover University. She finally took back control and having never looked back since.

So seeing it in Jinx's eyes upset her. No not upset more then that she was pissed! Lux knew realistically she shouldn't be this worked up, she'd never even spoken to the girl in her life after all but something inside her wanted to help this girl with the most unique eyes she had ever seen and an inexplicable sadness behind them.

A notification from her phone jolted her from her thoughts and looking down she saw a simple notification.

GetJinxed has posted a photo to their story.

Her fingers moved before she even thought about it and she typed in her password absentminded and she let out a small gasp when it loaded. It was a picture of a sketchbook laying on an adorable blanket covered in depictions of monkeys but that wasn't what caught her attention.

On the paper was a drawing of the back of someones head, they were leaning their hand on their chin and looking forward. The hair was shaded beautifully looking like there was real light reflecting off it in all directions the thing that stood out to her the most though was the color. A vibrant almost golden yellow with the same exact curly part she tucks behind her ear out of convenience.

Lux could feel her heart thumping against her chest as she looked down and read the caption. Two simple words looked back at her.

Found You.

It was there lying in her bed staring at the sketch Jinx had made of her that Lux fell into the greatest trap one could find themselves in. Falling back into her bed and grinning wildly Lux thought to herself.
