Noor has been walking for two weeks now. His journey so far has been uneventful compared to when he almost died. He saw the deepest caves and climbed the tallest cliffs, but he is not ready to settle down, he wants to study the ancient civilisations and explore ruins and monuments. His next stop is a village, he knows that cartographers have maps to unexplored monuments that no one was brave enough to go to. Noor wants to be the first in a lot of them.
Sunny just came back from the library and is excited about a new book he got. It's nighttime already and tomorrow is a long day, so he will have to wait until he is able to read the book. It's about parkour, a sport he had never heard of before, maybe he can turn that into art.
Steve just finished building his house and is now making plans for a basement. He will need a big one, a very deep and big place to store his materials. He just discards the idea of using it for storage and decides to make a big warehouse, it's not underground and will probably be easier to put together. For now, he is just going to finish his plans and finish the basement before going for the warehouse. Steve is being extremely patient for a guy that's obsessed with building.
The basement will have extra resources for survival and extra tools for him and others to use. It will also probably have an entrance for a mineshaft. No, the entrance will be at the bottom of the mountain. Steve's eyes are tired and he has to get up. He calls for Woof, the wolf gets up and comes to him. They both leave and walk around the village.
The sun is going down now, Noor has to find a place to sleep. He finds a tree next to a hill and decides to set up camp and call it a day. He has more places to go next and has to be well rested for his trip. There are two villages separated by an enormous mountain range a couple of blocks away according to the maps, Noor considered moving to one of them earlier. Just a place to settle down and store his equipment and personal stuff, since his bags and backpack are filled with stuff. Anyways, time to sleep.
Sunny's mind wanders off for a bit and he realises mid-writing that he wants more candles for his office. He doesn't need them or anything, the ones he has are still going and they are very good at lighting the whole place up. Sunny just wants more candles, they look cool and you can dye the different colors and stuff. Maybe sculpt them and make them look like animals and little guys to decorate the house. Maybe Sunny should just get into sculpting or pottery or something instead, candles are too expensive and this is a very inefficient way of decorating a house. It's his money that he earns with his job, anyway, so who cares? Okay, maybe sculpting wax is easier than sculpting clay or something. He may be on to something.
Sunny ends up looking at the clock on the wall and realises it's too late to be awake. Tomorrow is going to be a long day at work and he should be asleep. Sunny gets up and goes to his bedroom, he changes his clothes and goes straight to bed.
After coming back home, Steve cleans himself and changes his clothes. He has to mine more to get more emeralds and he also has to start to build his basement. He goes to his bed. It's kind of hard to sleep when you're too excited for the next day.
Finally, the sun is coming up, time to start the day, Steve gets up, gets some food and organises his things for the new project. The materials are ready and so are his tools, it's time to start. First with an entrance from the outside. Stairs and a double door to get in, then to dig up the room. The whole basement is almost as big as the actual house, Steve stops after he realises this and even considers making a whole underground base with everything that's needed to survive. Maybe a survival bunker is not a bad idea and can be useful one day.
Steve uses some spruce wood for the floor and stone bricks for the walls, the thing is very simple, not a lot of complex engineering involved. The basement is perfect. Stonecutters, crafting tables, furnaces, blast furnaces, grindstones for some reason; they're all there. There's a little corner dedicated to the tools and a bit of storage for different materials to make new tools or repair a new one.
Sunny just woke up, he needs to be in the shop as soon as possible. This time of the month is when the business is the busiest and the shops need full attention from him and his mother. Breakfast, clothes, extra materials and off to work.
Noor is prepared, he gets his things back in his bags and goes to the village. Not a long walk at all.
When he gets to the village, he looks around for a bit, he really wants a cartographer, he looks around more and spends too long just walking. He didn't even ask for information.
Noor eventually finds Sunny, another human, working in a stand selling wool and dye. He hesitates a bit, but really wants to talk to him. He walks up to the stand.
N: Hey!
Su: What? No way! Another human!
N: Hey man, good… Afternoon? What time is it? Whatever, who cares?
Su: How can I help you?
N: So, um, do you know where I can find a cartographer?
Su: What's a cartographer?
N: A guy who works making maps and exploring, you guys probably don't have one, since you don't even know what one is.
Su: Yeah, sorry, we don't have one of those here.
N: That's fine. Do you know if they have one in the nearby village?
Su: Hah, I'm pretty sure we don't have another village nearby.
N: The one just behind this mountain range.
Su: Oh, I didn't know there was one. I've never been there.
N: Wow, no wonder you guys don't have a cartographer. I think I'll go there and see then.
Su: Is there anything else I can help you with?
N: Nah, I'm good.
Su: By the way, where are you from? You're like, the second human I've seen in my life.
N: THE SECOND!? My guy, do you not leave this village?
Su: I do, but I only go to the same exact places to get dyes.
N: Alright, I… Will be going, then.
Su: Hey, can I go with you?
Noor stops and thinks for a bit.
N: I mean, sure. But you will have to come back by yourself.
Su: Really? Okay, just waid, I have to put some things away and I'll be ready to go.
N: No, I'm kind of in a hurry, no time for that.
Su: I don't want my things to get stolen, do you?
N: Why did I agree to thi– okay, I can wait a bit, but I want to get there as soon as possible.
St: Go where?
…
St: Hey, Sunny! Hi guy that I don't know!
Su: Steve!
N: Where did you come from?
St: I was passing by and decided to get some dyes with Sunny, I kind of want to create my own logo or symbol or watermark for my builds.
Su: Oh, can I get you the dyes later? Me and…
N: Noor, by the way.
Su: … Noor are going to the village nearby. I mean, he's taking me there.
St: There's another village nearby? Can I come too?
Su: I don't know.
N: Are you ready to leave now? Are you ready enough that you don't need to go back home to do anything before leaving?
St: No, I really need to put away my tools at home.
Noor starts walking.
N: Alright then, we're going.
Steve and Sunny stand there for a couple of seconds. They look at each other for a bit.
Sunny leaves his work unfinished and goes after Noor. Steve tries to catch up to him too.
St: Alright, I'm going.
Su: I'm really not that desperate, but, yeah. I really want to go too. I'll leave a note for my mom.
