Chapter 5: An Irksome Hangout
"No thanks, I'm good..I'll just stay-" Blue attempted an innocent front with his tone, but got cut off by the couple volunteering to take him.
"Come on! It's fun!"
"Don't be such a pathetic little pussy!...Just kidding of course!"
The blue-haired boy felt a catalyst for an off-feeling about the two people he hung out with. Those insults felt a little bit familiar, somewhat resembling something that was said to him, but this was a bunch of aliens, perhaps there was a different norm among them. But nevertheless, he left the house with the two, taking one last glance at the door just before.
As the trio were walking, Blue suddenly felt light on his feet, then he felt his feet being lifted off the ground. He looked down in awe, his eyes sparkling.
"Whoa! I can float!" he cheered. The tall man felt an opportunity click in his head, and he used it to his advantage. Blue started twirling 360 degrees, and tried imitating an airplane, he did all sorts of moves, which made him more in awe than before. Edina and Vermillion levitated off the ground as well to join Blue. Blue's mood quickly downed.
"Well, that's the beauty of flying," Vermillion replied, his antennas moving.
Louder music started to play as the three walked closer to whatever it was. It resembled something, that of a speakeasy.
"Time travel?" Blue asked sarcastically, due to the 1920s physique of the building.
"No," Edina replied. The blue-haired boy facepalmed at her being literal. But deep down, he knew he couldn't be talking. It was quite uncannily like him. He then internally recalled that only a few years prior he started understanding sarcasm.
Once the three arrived at the so-called "speakeasy", which wasn't actually a speakeasy, it was a show for people to show off and test their superpowers. But it was hard to distinguish that from a bar back on Earth, as of course everyone was drinking and stuff, and of course; making out in public and everyone screaming.
Blue turned to the two older adults, who seemed casual about the make-outs, and gave a face of repulsion. That just left the two looking back at Blue with a blank expression.
"How much do they reproduce?" asked Blue, attempting a sort of empathetic move.
"How much ever they want," replied Edina.
"They usually desire to produce lots of babies anyway, around 7-10 kids each house…usually," added Vermillion. His tone then changed to a slightly condescending one. "Now, who's up for some beverages?"
Upon the reddish-haired man asking, Blue was kind of distracted by the people showing off their powers in a kind of football field. Lasers, kicking, kung-fu, you name it! He then looked up and saw Dionyse text immediately translated into English, thanks to the help of his earphones. It was the sign at the entrance of the rally, it read "Superpower Show Off Field!"
A indigenous Dionyse man saw Blue, and came up to him. He appeared to have bright cyan hair with teal streaks, glowing chestnut-coloured eyes and intertwined antennas. He was wearing an outfit which was a sort of a surfer's outfit. But it was his veins that startled Blue. To him, he kind of looked like a mouse for some reason.
