Chapter 6: Defying Gravity
"Prsh'í'haet, uonarei! Yxn'gurten hie iui woyr vh pok'eli? (Hello, young man! What are you doing here so sad and dreary?)" he said, in an almost amiable tone, extending his hand a little.
Blue was not sure what to say, as he felt that the yelling of encouragement from the crowd overshadowed his voice. He then looked up to some other aliens that were flying above him and then at the man's hand. "I don't have any powers, sorry," he replied in an unamused tone. The man who said that put on earplugs, much like his own, upon hearing him speak English.
"That's alright! You can still fly with us!" Blue was amazed at the opportunity. The genuine friendliness from the man's voice gave him a sense of security. "My name's Rukhaw by the way!"
Blue lets himself levitate off the ground. Rukhaw gives him 2 reef necklaces, and some wristbands, as gifts. Blue, upon looking down at the ground, estimating his height off the ground, feels a sense of power and shows off his moves. He spins around in a circle 3 times and does an off-ground backflip, all with newfound joy and confidence. He finally gets the guts to tell the man his name. "My name is Hen-"
"Henry!" Vermillion called out. Blue's face flushed a bit red for a moment. A thought came that the two older adults neglected him. It almost made him feel like a child for a moment, which seemed a little out of place due to his mature but dorky nature.
He decides to get back onto the ground, albeit his mood sort of downing upon hearing one of the older adults' voices.
"Sorry, gotta go," Blue said to Rukhaw, waving him goodbye in a friendly manner. The latter did the same.
"W-Where were h-you?" Vermillion said in a way that almost sounded like yelling. The blue-haired boy took a look at the alien's eyes, and sighed. He was definitely drunk.
How many beverages has he had? Edina was more sober, then offered Blue a beverage, served in a cocktail. Blue accepted it but didn't exactly drink it. He then spotted an area with fuel tanks, for the people's superpowers and a sack, which could only fit around 3 of them. He then procrastinated on how much is gonna actually fuel the rocket.
Vermillion was dancing and levitating, grooving to the "music" in the background. The blue-haired boy was apathetic towards this, as the music borderline repulsed him. To him, it was like a bunch of failed singing auditions combined into a compilation.
"Back on Earth, we have radio, and 80s…oh wait, it's not the 80s, and real babes, and that's WAYYYY cooler," Blue thought to himself, but didn't want to mention the name of his home planet out of scepticism. He stared solemnly into the indigo sky. He saw that Dionysus had a sort of…humid, but breathable atmosphere. And that led him to having flashbacks of a couple of holidays he had with Red in Mexico. Blue started to feel as if the Dionyse culture was like a car crash. The trio starts to head off from the "speakeasy" and back to their home. All on the way there, despite it being only a few minutes since, he started to miss Rukhaw. Blue didn't feel like levitating anymore, as he felt as if his mood was ruined by Vermillion and Edina's presence.
He then saw the couple leave the room shortly after he approached a place near the door he was entranced by earlier.
"Oof! That's some good shit!" Vermillion exclaimed. Notably, he was more sober than before. Edina chuckled as she and her husband sat themselves on the couch.
