Chapter Nine
This is War
Everyone within close distance turned to see what made Lisanna scream and their eyes widened with horror. Standing there in a Full-Body Take-Over, bearing the resemblance of a brown bear, Elfman had taken a spear enhanced by Light Magic straight to the chest. His blood spilt the air and stained the spear crimson.
"Not… my… sister," He grunted, but the knight pushed the spear deeper and earned himself a short painful death.
Wings of death descended from the skies, and a scaly fist with demonic hands pierced the man's throat like a hot knife through butter. Mirajane Strauss had seen her brother's blood stain the earth and now the Demon of Fairy Tail was unleashed. A demon straight outta hell itself.
"Lisanna! Take Elfman and get out of here! I don't want you to see what I'm about to do," She ordered, and terrified, Lisanna did as instructed, taking Elfman to Porlyusica first for healing. Once out of sight, she turned on the mages and knights of Caelum, who laughed at her.
"This girl is funny!"
"Yeah! Taking us on alone is just suicide!"
"Demon Blast!"
She launched a ball of Darkness Magic before rushing the enemy, tearing stomachs and faces apart with her demonic talons, bathing herself in the blood of man as she became a demon in nature. She relished their death as she lost herself to the fury burning in her soul. Like a roaring fire, her soul did burn.
Taking things up a notch, Harry sped up his movements, becoming a blur as he fought back. He slashed people to pieces with his burning blade and snapped the necks of the lucky souls that did depart to Death's realm.
As Mirajane did, he bathed in the blood of his enemies, his form growing more draconic until he was in his Fire Dragon Mode with deep red scales across his body, yellow-slitted eyes, and increased muscle mass. With his enhanced vision, he surveyed the battlefield: Natsu and Laxus were standing back to back, showing all the unified destructive power of fire and lightning. Erza was dominating the other half of the battlefield, but those who he knew weren't as strong as the Gray, Cana, and even Levy, were struggling.'
Within a flash of lightning, he disappeared and reappeared in front of Laki, saving her from mage wielding Storm Magic. His scales were now a sharp electric yellow and his eyes electric blue slits, as he entered his Lightning Dragon Mode. "Lightning-Make: Spear!" He cried out, creating a spear of raw lightning that immediately pierced the stomach of the mage and blood spurted out their back as the spear went through them.
"To hell with you," Harry said coldly, and placing his hand on the mage's shoulder, pumped his body full of Lightning Magic, using them as a conduit. The mage screamed as he was electrocuted, his body burning black quickly, before Harry let go and the mage fell to the ground dead.
"T-Thanks for the save," Laki stuttered, utterly terrified by the close encounter with Death and the sight of Harry's brutality. She wasn't sure how to feel about how brutal he ended that mage's life.
"Laxus! Let's blitz these fools!"
"On it! And stop using my magic, Potter!"
Both young men proceeded to disappear in flashes of lightning, dancing across the battlefield, ending the lives of enemy mages and knights alike. They snapped necks, tore out hearts, and ripped apart bodies left and right, not stopping even as more soldiers descended from the flying ships that bore the flag of Caelum.
Makarov went full Giant form, and ripped a ship out of the air, ignoring the mages and knights scrambling down his body. "Lightning Ensnarement!" he screamed as nets of lightning surrounded his body and mages jumped off, pulling him down into the shoreline.
"Master!" Natsu shouted and rushed to aid his guild master, but he was kicked in the side from an unforeseen foe. Catching himself, he leaped onto his feet and looked at his new opponent.
The enemy had long crimson hair tied into a low ponytail, blazing red eyes with black pigmentation around his sharp, cold eyes. He wore blue pants and a light blue shirt with a white high-collar jacket with intricate blue lines, similar to Gray's, and a scabbard attached to his hip.
"Who are you so I know what to write on your tombstone," Natsu demanded, igniting his fists in fire. The enemy laughed heartily. "Such arrogance, Dragneel. But I am your counter. Your crux. I am Kaster, the Water Dragon King Slayer," Kaster grinned as Natsu gave him a disbelieving look before taking a defensive stance.
Clenching his hand, he made the tides rise and the waves churn into a monstrous water dragon. Smirking darkly, he shouted "Prepare to meet your end, Son of Igneel!"
Seeing his grandfather get taken down ignited a fire in his chest, and he blitzed across the battlefield, taking out mages in a path of destructive lightning. When he reached the shore, he was about to kill the bastards holding his grandfather down when somebody hit him from his blind side with a bolt of lightning.
Knocked aside, he righted himself and stared in shock at the person responsible. How was that able to hurt him! He was a Lightning Dragon Slayer! He looked at his opponent, they wore camo cargo pants and a black sleeveless cognac jacket; his hair was black and spiky, with tufts of hair sticking out, forging a crown of sorts. His eyes, the most jarring feature on him, were blood red and highlighted by orange pigmentation around his cold, harsh eyes.
"Not so fast, buddy. Makarov Dreyar's defeat is paramount to our victory. No grandson of his is going to change that. Especially some low-born Lightning Dragon Slayer," The man said cockily. Laxus growled. "Name's Chuck, I'm the Thunder Dragon King Slayer. Prepare to meet your maker, you lesser born," Before Laxus could even blink, Chuck crossed the battlefield and slammed a blue-lightning enhanced fist into his gut, doubling him over.
Harry continued flashing across the battlefield, protecting his comrades, saving some from death, and ending the lives of the enemy. He hadn't felt this strain on his Magic Power since fighting God Serena. About to provide Erza and Mirajane with some much needed support, he flashed in only to be hit by razor sharp winds.
He cried in pain, his arms and chest bleeding profusely, the wounds cut deep. Looking around fast, he found his assailant.
A young woman with snow white hair and rich purple eyes, wearing a modest scarlet bikini with a golden brown towel wrapped around her waist, stood on a destroyed piece of building, smiling sinisterly at him.
"The famous Harry Potter. What a disappointment. I expected better from the man that stalled the infamous God Serena,"
"We tied!"
"Sure, darling, whatever you say. It's tragic that we're on opposite ends of this battle and there's money on your head, otherwise I might have kept you as a nice little slave. You're quite handsome and those draconic features… well color me aroused," Her unashamed way of speaking may Mirajane and Erza go red and splutter incoherently, but Harry was used to flirtatious women, even the shameless type.
"You're a Dragon Slayer. What type?"
"I'm the Wind Dragon Queen, darling. But it doesn't matter, you won't be able to beat me with your impressive arsenal of Dragon Slayer Magic. In the end, I have mastered my to a degree that you are far beneath me,"
Harry growled at the challenge, and suddenly his body was covered by dark grey, almost black, scales. Dark red fire burst from his mouth, dark yellow lightning sparked across his body, and his eyes became ocean blue slits.
"I'm going to show you just how dangerous I am," Harry's voice was deep and guttural, rumbling and intense. It shook those who heard it to their very bones, and the self-proclaimed Wind Dragon Queen.
A one step shattered the sound barrier, propelled forward at unfathomable speeds. He slashed a fiery claw at her face, but she managed to narrowly dodge and blow him back with a powerful gust of wind. However, he was far from done, and this time, with even greater speed, blitzed her.
"Aw!" She screamed, under siege of a barrage of fiery fists. A roundhouse kick to the face sent her sailing into the side of a ruined house, and when she came out, she was encased in her own personal twister. "You insolent cur! I'll kill you and prove the strength of Mother! Wind Dragon Queen Mode!" Suddenly the winds around her exploded outwards, sharp as knives and intense.
Harry raised his arms, blocking the attack as his scaly arms defended him from the sharp winds. Not about to give her the chance to attack, he rushed forward, and slammed a lightning-enhanced fist into her face, or he tried, had she not caught his fist and attempted to stab her hand through his chest, but he caught her wrist, and with a twist he snapped it.
Screaming in pain, she let go of her wrist, the Wind Dragon Slayer groweld audibly before slapping with the back of her usable hand, sending him flying across the battlefield, through several buildings, and barely even against her own comrades.
"You bastard! I don't care how strong you are! I'll kill you!" She screamed, disappearing in the wind to reappear above him, but he disappeared in a flash of lightning.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!"
"Wind Dragon Queen's Roar!"
He had banked on her not paying attention to which element he used, because he smirked as she made his breath attack humongous with her wind-based breath attack. Her eyes widened with realization and she leaped to the side, right as he appeared where she was.
"Fire Dragon's Slashing Claw!" He slashed his clawed hand across her, but to his shock, the deep wounds instantly started healing and she slammed a palm strike into his chest. "I am the Wind Dragon Slayer. The air and winds are mine to control and they heal me when I am injured! I am invulnerable!" He snarled and grabbed her, lifted her up, and threw her into a group of comrades.
"Sea King Dragon's Deluge!" He gathered voluminous amounts of churning water in his hands and thrust them forward. It shot forward and consumed them all in its heavy attack.
Natsu traded blows with Kaster, both fighting with all they had. Much to Kaster's frustration, Natsu was keeping up with his Water Dragon King Mode, something he had been forced to utilize lest he perished in battle with the Fire Dragon Slayer. The battle was intense and whenever Natsu got the chance, he made Kaster accidentally take out his own comrades with blows meant for him.
"You won't win! I'll send you bastards straight to hell!" Natsu shouted, rushing forward, fist blazing with dark red fire.
Kaster growled, and rushed forward, with churning water in his clawed hand. "Not in this lifetime, Dragneel! Water Dragon King's Tidal Fist!"
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"
Lightning met lightning, yellow electric blue clashing in the air, until one overwhelmed the other, and Laxus was blown back through the wall of a partially destroyed house. Groaning, he was worse for wear. Getting up, he rushed Chuck, but the man grabbed his fist and slammed his foot into his gut before spin-kicking him in the face.
"You lost, buddy. Thunder Dragons are just superior to low-born Lightning Dragons,"
Laxus spat out blood and growled. "You keep saying that, but all I feel is my power surging! I feel it in my blood! It sings a song of bloodlust with a battle cry! I FEEL IT SURGING THROUGH ME LIKE LIGHTNING FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE!" Laxus roared, powerful lightning blasting out, pure electric yellow and surging with raw Magic Power. His Magic Power nearly quadrupled, and Chuck stepped back as he realized what was happening.
Laxus' eyes glowed pure yellow and his lightning-bolt scar glowed the same, a cocky smirk on his face. "Bow before your king, and I might show mercy,"
"Fuck you, pal! I ain't done yet! Thunder Dragon King's Roar!"
"LIGHTNING DRAGON KING'S ROAR!"
Finally, the capital was in sight. He pushed himself to keep up the pace, he couldn't slack off now that he'd arrived. Through the streets, he was a blurring dust cloud, and when he reached the palace, he found himself stopped by the guards.
"What is the meaning of this visit, mage?" One guard demanded.
Panting for breath, Jet's next words chilled the guards' blood like ice. "Caelum is invading Magnolia as we speak. Please get me an audience with the king. This is a matter of war,"
"Sea King Dragon's Roar!"
"Wind Dragon Queen's Roar!"
The two continued to clash, two titans of magic not giving any quarter or losing their edge. The Wind Dragon Slayer, however, was a veteran of war and sick of this battle. Rushing through her breath attack, she surprised Harry with a close-quarters attack.
"Wind Dragon Queen's Slash!"
"GAH!"
Harry clutched his bleeding face, as a wound went diagonally down from right above his left eye to his nose. His loss of concentration would cost him, as his opponent slammed her palm against his stomach, ripping a hole through it and out his back.
Smirking triumphantly, she leaned down and picked him by his neck. His lips were blood-stained and he was choking on his own blood, unable to properly speak. "Name's Clara. You earned my respect, Potter, but like I said before. I will kill you. Hope you like water," Mercilessly, she tossed his body into one of the only remaining clear canals, and smirked as his blood mixed with the water.
Looking across the battlefield, she saw lightning fighting lightning and water fighting fire. "I think I'll give Dragneel a nice warm welcome," She snickered sadistically.
Beneath the water, Harry's body sunk to the floor of the canal, his eyes closed and mouth barely open, drowning him.
With Natsu and Kaster
Natsu had Kaster on his knees, and was about ready to execute the Water Dragon King Slayer, when he leaped back, dodging a razor sharp gust of wind. Looking to the side he saw a woman in a bikini with a scorched towel around her waist and a sadistic smile across her face.
"Natsu Dragneel, I'm so happy you're still alive,"
"Why's that, lady?"
"Who else would I get to tell first about the death of Harry Potter?" She asked, coy and teasing. A snicker escaped her lips at the widening of his eyes.
"... No," He whispered.
"No!" He bellowed.
Crimson flames exploded into existence and every droplet of water in the surrounding area evaporated, as his body was bathed in crimson flames. "NO!" He roared to the heavens above, a cry of pain and loss, of rage and bloodlust. His eyes turned into blood red slits and behind, standing proud and tall, imposing and glaring upon the Wind Dragon Slayer with dark wrath, was a dragon made of crimson fire. An aura that struck fear in her and Kaster's heart.
"Shit! He's unlocked his King Mode!"
"No worries, he's still beneath-" She was cut short with a punch to her face that sent her flying into a building.
"You're going to pay,"
