"Drew!" Everette yelled.
"I'm in the living room!" Drew yelled back.
He sat on the couch and listened to the footsteps of his girlfriend run towards the living room. She came through the door so fast that she nearly tripped over her own feet when she stopped. Her shoulder long, light brown hair was a mess and her dark brown eyes had a happy look in them. She held up a bag from a bakery and shook it.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Pretzels," she said.
She threw the bag to him and grabbed the remote. She clicked around until she found the first Alien movie on one of the streaming platforms they subscribed to.
"We're having an Alien marathon," she said.
"Alien and pretzels," he chuckled.
"Do you know why?" She asked.
"Not a clue," he answered.
She dumped down on the couch next to him and gave him a kiss.
"It's international pretzel day and international Alien day today," she said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Aha," she nodded. "April 26. Look it up."
"I believe you," he said.
She looked so cute and it made him smile. He leaned in for another kiss.
"Hold that thought. We need something to wash down those pretzels," he said.
He got up and walked out in the kitchen. He grabbed two lemonades from the fridge and walked back to her. He sat down and handed her one of the lemonades while she handed him a pretzel.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," she said.
"Press play," he said. "This is gonna be a good day. Aliens, pretzels and the world's best Everette."
She giggled lightly and took a bite of her pretzel. He put an arm around her, pulled her close, and kissed the top of her head.
"Please, never change," he said. "I love when you do things like this."
